Enjoy your stay in the mountains in this 3 bedroom, 2-bath home that’s located only minutes to downtown Maggie Valley and a short drive to Waynesville It features easy paved access on the Maggie Valley Country Club. A large covered deck offers a great place to enjoy BBQ’s or just a relaxing evening. With 2 levels on the inside, you have a bedroom on each level with queen size beds and a 3rd bedroom with 3 twin beds. All bedrooms are set up with TV so everyone can enjoy their own shows. Perfect weekend away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this cabin for a weekend because we were attending a wedding in the area. There were 6 of us, 5 adults and a teenager. It was the perfect amount of space for us. Everything was clean and comfortable. The drive to this cabin is beautiful and it is IN the mountains. The drive up seems a little scary but it isn’t too hard. The distance to things to do and town is minimal. Its perfect for a quiet mountain get away. Some updating could be done but you definitely have everything you need.

Vacation time

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The only downside to this cabin rental was the road up to the cabin. If you are in a bigger vehicle it was very hard to get in drive. We had to go up the hill to another house and turn around and go into the drive like we were going back down to town. Overall we had a good time.

Roomy peaceful cabin

Listing said gas grill was available. It was charcoal grill. Also no gas fireplace. Two reasons we picked this place. Was disappointed. Also, the heating is sketchy. The bedrooms appear not to get much heat at all. I still rate it a four, because the cabin is not lacking for anything else . And we enjoyed our week! Thank you!

Hard to Find

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If gps does not work it is very difficult to find after dark and impossible if raining. Roads are narrow and steep. Home was clean, peaceful, and met our needs. Laundry was downstairs in what I would call the crawl space of the house. Overall the house was nice, beds comfortable but access to house road wise was stressful.

Straight Up—need working gps

Property was clean and beds were comfortable. Property fulfilled our needs......once we found it. Forget it if you do not have a “working” gps to find your way at night on narrow winding roads that go straight up and straight down. Once you get there you are faced with an additional challenge of getting into and UP the driveway. If it is raining it is even more difficult. Once you get there, there is no view of anything but a tree canopy. The write up in the Vrbo description did not mention the elevation and access problems. We were also surprised to find the laundry area to be located downstairs in an area off the garage which was actually the crawl space under the house. Other than these surprises, we really enjoyed this very comfortable house itself and would recommend it if you are not afraid of heights.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the cabin and its location. Sadly, we were locked out of it because the door to the patio wouldn't open and we couldn't get in. Guests need to be warned of this happening. Also, we could not get on the internet which was frustrating.

Home Away from Home!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We simply loved staying in Bear Necessities! The owners have thought of every single "need" you could ever want, right down to ring holder for my rings and the full length mirror in the Master Bedroom! The beds are comfy, the kitchen well equipped and the TVs in the bedrooms and living room were wonderful! The living room recliners are so nice and the outdoor deck perfect as well, with a nice porch swing! We even barbecued on two nights out of our week in town! The entire home was spotless! We felt like we were in our own home and we will be back, for sure! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived in Maggie Valley and wanted a three bedroom home that was elevated up in the mountains to really get away from it all. Premier rentals has wonderful staff that pulled up some options for us within minutes and gave us the keys to go look for ourselves. With their help we rented the perfect home for our family vacation. We got lucky that day too b/c they had grilled hot dogs and had a lovely table set up with chips and cookies and drinks in honor of the Fourth of July - thank you Premier!

Thanksgiving in the very Smokey Mountains!

Reviewer Comments: We were very happy to have purchased traveler's insurance for our stay in Maggie Valley, although we did not need to be evacuated, if we had we would have not lost our money, or the property owner/renter. We arrived to pick up our keys and were allowed to go check out the property in case the smoke from the forest fires was too much. We decided to stay anyway and eventually the wind shifted for our Thanksgiving day. We had also lost our power Thanksgiving morning for four hours and the rental service was incredibly helpful and we avoided another crisis of having all our Thanksgiving meal supplies survive.. it was a memorable stay to say the least.

Centralize to all the area of interest like hiking, white water rafting , and Restuarant. Bear Necessities was a warm and cozy home. The kids loved relaxing out side in the patio watching the chip monks play. Very peaceful and beautiful place. I definitely recommend this home if you wish to get away from the stress of the city. I will be back agian w friends n family next year. The Leon family

Lots of Love

Lots of love went into this house in the mountainside forest. Plenty of bedrooms and comfortable beds for a big family. Beautiful interior. Private tucked away house. Very big deck for family reunions. Nice comfortable. Wireless access worked great. Definitely recommended. The only thing it lacks is a view, but it's peaceful location is a good second.

Beautiful views, outstanding location, roomy

Loved the cabin! My husband and I enjoyed our stay at this a very roomy cabin with great views! The kitchen was fabulous- we were with our two kids and we saved a ton of money being able to have breakfast and snacks in the very clean and user friendly kitchen. The best part of our stay was sitting on the huge deck in the evenings watching the night skyand playing board games. The kids loved the time we spent outdoors- and they must have taken hundreds of pics of the mountains surrounding the cabin. It was nice that we all had our own rooms- so my husband and I had alone time as well. Definitely would stay again!

Great Family Experience

We had great time in this cabin. The place was spacious, clean, comfortable and most of all what a beautiful scenery-it has a window that overlooks the mountains. (I wish I could post pictures for everyone to see) There was a lot of activities around town as well as the closeness to the TN area. We came in just in time to enjoy the snowy weather. My granddaughters, had not seen snow fall before. Being at the angle where the cabin is situated made it more fun!. Wow! what a great get-a-way. I highly recommend this vacation home.

Unforgettable time!

This was my family's first time staying in Bear necessities, It far exceeded our expectations in every category. It was extremely clean and comfortable and gave our family a lot of room to play both indoors and outdoors. From the accommodating board games to the golf coarse only a short ten minute walk away. The main floor deck is a wonderful way to end the evening. The location can't be beat! Easy access to anywhere in Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the National Park. A short drive up or down the mountain takes you to restaurants, shopping , groceries, or major attractions. The house seems to be placed in the middle of it all! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay! We would definitely return!
