Newport and the beach are oh so close! Come relax in this sun splashed, newly renovated, adorable cottage. We left the charm and updated the rest by adding bright coral kitchen cabinets, newly refinished floors and all new furnishings. This cottage is sure to delight! Fully stocked kitchen with breakfast bar for 4 is ideal for indoor dining, or you can head out to the private backyard patio for dining alfresco. Peaceful and private cottage is within a mile to 2 wineries and not far from the Polo grounds! Laundry, Patio, yard and parking for 2 cars. All new furnishings!!

Lovely cottage. Very quiet area, and just a 15 minute drive to town. Our nervous little dog was very comfortable here too.

Good But Not Great

While we enjoyed our stay at this little cottage, we did feel that it didn't quite match our expectations. When it says close to the beach, that is a subjective thing as to whether you are walking or driving, and whether you want a sandy beach or a stone covered beach. When you go away, you tend to think that renters will think through all the small details, which we felt this one did not. It was little things like there being no waste basket in the bathroom or any other room except under the sink in the kitchen. Also the fact that there were no curtains in the bedroom and even when the window blinds were pulled down, there were still gaps big enough for folks from the outside to see into. The bed mattress seemed to cause us to roll towards the middle and while there was a TV mounted in the corner of the living room, the only seating was a couch clear on the other end and it did not make for comfortable viewing since it was a good sized living room. But we spent most of our time in Newport so that was not a big issue either. Overall, the cottage was neat and tidy, and served our purposes of staying somewhere close (about 15 mins) to Newport. As far as the surrounding area of Newport, it is a fantastic place to vist as there is something for everyone. We enjoyed the sunset cruise, dining down by the harbor, and touring the historic parts of the area.

Home away from home

This is a good location only about 4 miles from downtown Newport. It was private and truly felt like a home away from home. Really appreciate the fenced yard having our dog with us! Bring your eye masks though because while the bright, sunny cottage is wonderful, depending on the time of year, the sun will wake you early! We loved our stay!!!

Nice cottage - sweet location

The cottage is clean, cheerful and comfortable. The fenced-in yard is great for a small dog. And the walk down to Pebble Beach is delightful.

Repeat stayers!!

Coincidentally, we stayed at another cottage on this property in April! They are both very pretty properties that manage to be very private! They have very clever fenced in yards which allowed our furry friends to go in and out without stress. The amenities are GREAT; really everything you can think of is provided. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

A Slice of Heaven

Quaint, serene, peaceful, modern, comfortable and charming. Loved, loved our stay here. Everything we needed and more. Incredible peaceful setting. Host paid so much attention to detail. So much to do in the area, but far enough for quiet. Walk to the beach. Eat fresh seafood at Anthony’s. Five plus! Superb.

Beach getaway

Peony cottage is perfect for a couple. Convenient to both Second an Third Beaches as well as the Norman Bird Sanctuary and Sachuest Wildlife Refuge. The fenced in backyard with patio made for a private retreat.

Cozy Cottage

my husband, mom and I were traveling for a funeral and had to bring our dog at the last minute. Lisa was great by allowing us to check in early and reached out if we needed anything. The cottage was cozy, but clean and modern. It had everything we needed and has a great little fenced in backyard for the dog. It was a block from Pebble Beach, which was a great place to explore, and it was the first time our dog swim in the ocean. I highly recommend this place for a nice getaway.

Nice long weekend getaway

A small but comfortable cottage in a convenient location. We walked to pebble beach and enjoyed having second beach and downtown Newport nearby as well. The back yard is enclosed and private from other cottages on the property. The kitchen is well equipped with what you need for your stay although we would suggest adding a cutting board and laundry detergent. Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Great Stay!

Awesome stay at the cottage. Well thought out light filled place with nice kitchen, good amount of space, private yard that our dog enjoyed, and even a washer/dryer. Beautiful neighborhood close to many different attractions. Would recommend.

Great spot with easy access to some of the best beaches in Rhode Island

The property was perfect for my wife and our two year old. There is a lovely fenced in backyard in a wooded setting, within walking distance to pebble beach (great fishing spot, and fantastic vantage point for watching boats leave the Sakonnet River towards Vineyard Sound). Third Beach is a short drive away, as is the Sachuest Nature Preserve. We'd recommend this rental to anyone looking to explore Rhode Island.

Charming Cottage near Newport

This light, bright cottage is a short walk to a rocky beach — perfect for a late afternoon dip— and a short drive to all three of Newport/Middletown’s best beaches.. Newport , with all it offers, is only 12 minutes away. The cottage is furnished with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including a table, umbrella and chairs on the brick patio. Our small dog loved the private yard. We would definitely stay here again.

The location is what we could not ignore! Second to none! So very close to the fun and craziness of Newport, yet located in a quiet and serene location right down the road from some of the most popular beaches in Newport! The Peony cottage is located at the back portion of a 5 cottage property that sits on an acre. Each cottage is private and unique! While renovating the cottage, we decided to add some color to the kitchen cabinets to add to all the sunlight that just streams though out the property! It is delightful, charming and sweet! The bedroom features a queen bed and it you wanted to have 4 people in there, we provide a very nice air mattress for guests or kids! (can be set up in the living room and if you are going to use, please bring sheets for it) The cottage is fully equipped and can serve up to 6 people with wine and champagne glasses. Out doors is a private backyard that is partially fenced in. Patio has a dining table to dine alfresco! You are within minutes of beaches and about 5 minutes into downtown Newport!

If so desired, you can rent out the whole compound for small events such as family gatherings, wedding accommodations, corporate events or big celebrations!
