Come to Beautiful Whidbey Island via a 20 minute ferry ride from Mukilteo to Clinton and let your adventure begin or just enjoy Island time!

Stay for the weekend, during the week or the whole month at a beautiful constructed, custom, single level home on 5 private acres overlooking the West-side of Whidbey Island including Double Bluff, Useless Bay, Sunlight Beach, the shipping lanes from Seattle to the Pacific, and the Olympic Mountains. The home is completely stocked and all you need to bring is your suitcases, sense of adventure, or relaxation.

The Main suite has beautiful views with French doors that lead to the patio area, and the hot tub. It includes a King size bed, flat screen TV, DIRECTV, sitting area, and a large walk in closet. It also includes an on suite bathroom with a 2 person non-jetted bath tub, large tiled walk in shower, and duel sinks.

2nd Bedroom faces the view through large open windows, includes a Queen size bed, sitting area, and large closet space.

3rd Bedroom has views of the rolling grassy hills, includes two twin beds, sitting area and a large closet.

The home has a movie room with comfortable leather furniture, large flat screen with DVD player. And a daybed for an extra area to sleep.

The kitchen area includes a large granite island that seats six with plenty of cupboard and counter space, top of the line appliances and a large pantry for food storage. The kitchen also includes a wet bar with plenty of glasses and a sink area. It's stocked with everything you may need but food and drink.

The living room has a propane fireplace, microfiber sectional which makes into a bed for extra guests, flat screen TV with DIRECTV, and a dining table that suits six guest.

The living room and kitchen area has sweeping views through large windows and French doors that take you out to the patio area that includes a hot tub, outside furniture, very large patio area, BBQ, propane fire pit landscaped yard, and the beautiful views.

For you bird watchers there is 100+ acres of undeveloped green belt abundant with quail, mourning doves, pigeons, stellar jays, quail, hummingbirds, kill deer, red tail hawk, osprey, crane, eagles, coyotes and black tail deer. There are also a herd of Hereford cows and one horse on the adjacent farm land, which we own so feel free to explore.

Walk 1/2 mile to Sunlight Beach and stick your toes in the sand, go for a bike ride on the beach cruisers (2) to the Bayview corner or drive 5 miles to Double Bluff beach one of the best beaches on the Island.

Recently enjoyed our visit here. The view was absolutely breathtaking, the layout of the house provided privacy for all of us and the kitchen is a chefā€™s dream with a long, beautiful granite bar to sit at, visit and prepare food. The hosts were accommodating and quickly responded to any text messages or phone calls. After just being there two days, we wanted to extend our reserved three-week visit for a few weeks more, but it was fully booked. We look forward to reserving this home again when it is available. Loved it! Thank you so much for allowing our furkids to be with us.

Relax and Enjoyable view home

Stayed with my spouse and parents in this single story home. Quiet, plenty of space to gather and wonderful views of the water and mountains. Close to local grocery store and easy drive to the local towns for island adventures.

Relaxing Whidbey Island Retreat

My wife celebrated a milestone birthday; more than anything she wanted us to celebrate by spending the weekend at this Whidbey Island home. This was our sixth stay since 2020, and we anticipate staying at least annual visitors. The scenery over the water and Olympic Mountains is priceless. The area is so quiet. The home is clean and comfortable, and when small items or questions pop up, the owners are very quick to respond. We were grateful to find this home several years ago, and hope to always find time to spend here. We recommend this for any couples or family visiting Whidbey Island.

Excellent location and house

The house itself is much bigger in person and very well cleaned and maintained. We enjoyed the large master bathroom, the kitchen setup, and the common living space. The property itself was not well marked off so we were very unsure where we could walk and where the 100 acres were, but that didn't stop us from walking and exploring (sorry neighbors if we were on your land). A couple of small nitpicks would be that the kitchen was remarkably not stocked to use the oven (no sheet pans or casserole) and that the hot tub was temperamental and dropped power due to the power safety breaker tripping constantly. The hot tub was addressed by the property manager once but we figured out how to handle it ourselves for the remaining days. My only unhandled concern is that folks know the wifi had no internet connectivity the entire stay, and there was no outage with the local ISP. Could have just been bad luck though. Overall, 4/5 and would stay again!

Peace & Tranquility

We had a very peaceful and relaxing week on Whidbey. The home is quite welcoming and spacious. All the key creature comforts are accounted for here. Convenient to both the ferry and Langley, the location is ideal and, weather permitting, capable of delivering the most spectacular sunsets.

Whidbey Island Relaxing

Very easy to get to once you arrive on the ferry to Clinton. The home is big and beautiful with a great lot overlooking the sunsets and Useless Bay. Large spaces and lots of comfortable furniture are a bonus, and the kitchen is excellent. The hot tub is working and the gas fire pit makes sitting outside enjoying the view a real pleasure. We plan to return!

Annual trip to this home always a highlight

Many wonderful homes on Whidbey deserve consideration but this remains our favorite for the fifth time. The home is clean and welcoming and the area is very quiet. The kitchen is upscale and modern, and the hot tub is always a treat after a day of hiking. A spacious bedroom with ample closet space is ideal for anyone staying here. We look forward to hopefully staying for our sixth time next year.

5/6 long time friends celebrating their 60th birthdays. Great location including a 20 minute walk to beach. House was very spacious and well equipped. We loved exploring the island and added sea kayaking and wine tasting.

Please review before considering this rental

Overall our experience was not the best. There are positive features of the home, like the media room, parlor bathroom, giant kitchen and overall size of the house; but too many negatives, mainly: 1) Cleanliness. The house was very dirty. Empty shampoo bottles and soap left in master shower, open baggies of food in cabinets, and dust, dust, dust. In fact, it was so dusty we went right out to purchase Claritin (to suppress my dust allergy). 2) The blinds (in key places like living room and kitchen) are broken and some were covered in a thick layer of dirt and dust. 3) The laundry room stank of mildew as did all the towels - mostly prominent when wet. We washed several but it didnā€™t make a difference. 4) Noise from a very well travelled road (this was most upsetting since I asked about this and was told, ā€œthe house is located on 5 acres.ā€ That may be true but the house faces a noisy road.). I would not recommend this rental.

Both Verlane and Marilyn lived on Whidbey Island for 70+ and worked very hard to have this paradise. They both have passed. Many great memories have been made here. This property is very exclusive and is a private piece that is very rare to find on South Whidbey. Us two sister have continued to share this piece of heaven with you. Enjoy!

We also own the 100 acres around the home so feel free to explore.
