Absolutely Adorable Lake Winnipesaukee Cottage for 5

Charming 2 bedroom Winnipesaukee lake cottage resting just feet from the shore. Step into this wonderful property and feel at home immediately with its wood-paneled walls and cozy fireplace (sorry, fireplace is off limits and not to be used). From the living room, step out into the 3-season room with 3 sets of sliders facing the water where you can enjoy a friendly (or competitive - that's up to you) evening board game as well as your meals with a picture perfect view. Once outside, feel the sand between your toes on the beach as you jump in to cool off on those hot summer days or read that book you've wanted to get to on the waterfront deck where you can watch the ducks and loons floating by or maybe even catch some dinner. A Keurig coffee maker is even provided so you can sit and enjoy a cup while watching the sun come up. If you would like to explore all Lake Winnipesaukee has to offer just bring or rent a boat. The dock on this property will accommodate a boat up to 22 feet in length. Come and enjoy your next vacation here! Water source to the house is from the lake. Tenant must purchase bottled water. There are no outside fires allowed at this property. There is no heat source in this cottage. Parking for 2 cars.
LINENS: Please note: Sheets and towels are not included with this rental. If you would like to rent sheets and/or bath towel packages from At The Lake Vacation Rentals, the cost of sheets (including arrival bed making) for this home is $75. Towel packages are $12 per person and include 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth. Please let us know at time of booking if you would like to rent sheets and bath towels as availability is limited.

Wonderful location - home needs some love

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautiful views and awesome spot on the lake. Home needs upgraded fans as there were only 3 and 1 hardly worked. All screens on the sliders of the sunroom had rips along seams making the sunroom almost unusable at night due to the bugs. With no AC ceiling fans in the two bedrooms and sunroom would be a nice and reasonable upgrade. Possibly rearranging 2nd bedroom so that it is not a bunk bed instead a full and twin so that it could have a ceiling fan. It is one of the most reasonably priced places on the lake and for the location it is still a good value.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is the second year we’ve rented here and we love it! The proximity to the lake is the best I’ve ever experienced! Fortunately each week we’ve rented has not been too hot which has been wonderful since there’s no A C. We enjoy all the outdoor furniture at various times of day and love cooking on the gas grill. Early morning sunrises on the waterside deck and sunsets on the dock.

The only problem was the condition of the mattresses. They were very uncomfortable, to the point of making them almost unusable. Every morning we woke with sore hips from the pressure. They really should invest in new mattresses or put an pillow topper on them

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was fabulous! Having the water about 8 feet from the main bedroom window and so relaxing to hear as we were falling asleep. There was a perfect balance of sun and shade to accommodate all our needs. The swimming was great as were the views of various boats from kayaks/ canoes, and traditional motor and sailboats to single person hydro-boards and seaplanes! Plus there were loons and bald eagles to watch and listen to. The house has 3 large box fans available for the humid/ hot days which really helped. It would be ice if there was a well for drinking water, but that is not insurmountable, just stay on top of ice making!A couple negatives - the hot water heater (at the A setting as required) was not hot enough to wash dishes or have a hot shower. There were a fair amount of both large and small ants in the kitchen area that we had to stay on top of. It was obvious a deep clean had not been done before we arrived as there was debris left underneath dressers/ beds (wrappers etc.) and cob/ spider webs throughout the sunroom. Finally, the wooden deck by the water is not in terrific shape. It has a huge lean/ slant toward the water that is a little disconcerting but is still completely functional. Nothing about this place would prevent me from returning again!

Starting off on the wrong foot

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Over the past few years your check in process on Saturday has been moved back. If that is not bad enough, limiting the ability to do anything on that day, but to have the cleaning people still cleaning at 5:30 is an absolute travesty. We generally have been allowed to check in by 3:00. We waited in your parking lot watching people leaving with keys for two hours.I was on the lake all day and arrived by boat at the expected check in time on the dock and witnessed the lackadaisical approach of your cleaning person.I also had the opportunity to speak to the owner Mrs Lemlin as she was replacing a garbage barrel and she did not know why the person was still there at 4:00.Very, very dissatisfied with experience.We have stayed at the particular property many times and it was what we expected. We did not expect the lack of compassion and understanding we got from you
