Spinner dolphins are visible from the spacious lanai while sipping Kona coffee or cocktail! This is a ground floor unit, with one assigned parking stall just steps away from the front door. African Mahogany cabinets in the kitchen and both bathrooms match the beautiful original Mahogany Shoji doors that close to separate the living area from the main bedroom. Beautiful Brazilian counter tops throughout. Both bathrooms have walk-in showers with bamboo glass screens. Lanai is very spacious with dining area and two teak lounge chairs. There is a portable AC unit in the Living Room Only & Both Bedrooms!

Living Room Sofa has been upgraded to be a pullout sofa, so unit can sleep up to 6!

Enjoy the awesome ocean views from this nicely upgraded and well-appointed unit. Experience the view of the Pacific blue from the moment that you walk thru the door. The living area and master bedroom are both ocean side and each room is accessible to the spacious lanai. This 2 bedroom 2 bathroom unit offers a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, each bedroom offers a Queen bed, and ceiling fans in each bedroom, kitchen and on the lanai as well. Great location in the complex being close to the pool and BBQ area.

The grounds are beautifully maintained and include barbecue area, sparkling salt water pool with restrooms and a large library with hundreds of books available for the enjoyment of residents and guests.

Ali'i Villas is a highly sought after condominium complex in Kona, Hawaii. The location is perfect. It is walking distance to town where there are plenty of restaurants, shopping, and night life. The grounds have lush tropical landscaping that provide color and a true Hawaiian spirit. The complex has a quiet and relaxed atmosphere.

Island get away

Perfect little condo. Great location very clean. Awesome views. Not easily walkable to town but very short drive. The pool is amazing it’s not the pool directly in front of the condo but in my opinion it’s better.

perfect two bedroom two bathroom unit. Comfortable beds. Nicely appointed. Furniture is different that pictured on lanai but totally sufficient. Should update the photo.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Condo was nice and clean. As with all rental condos it seemed to lack storage space for food and clothing. Anything you could ever need is in the kitchen, which also means no cabinets to store food. Air works but a little loud since it is the portable kind. We kept it off most of the time and opened the doors to hear the ocean. Great ocean view. Traveled with two 10 year old boys who wanted to swim after the pool closed at 8pm. That was the only real bummer as the pool is nice.

We appreciate your feedback regarding storage space — many oceanfront condos are limited in cabinet availability, especially when they’re fully stocked for guest convenience, but we’ll definitely take a closer look to see if we can optimize the layout for future stays. Thank you as well for noting the portable A/C. It’s meant to give guests extra cooling when needed, but we’re happy you were able to enjoy the ocean breezes with the doors open. Regarding the pool hours, those are set by the resort’s HOA for safety and quiet-hours compliance. We completely understand how that can feel disappointing, especially with kids eager to swim, but we’re glad you still enjoyed the pool during open hours. The location was great and had a nice view. Need better instructions on where to take the trash because the dumpster is hidden in a garage. We enjoyed our stay.

We had the best time. It was clean and very comfortable. It had a great view and close enough to town. I would diffently reccomend this for your vacation and would stay there again.

Such a great unit. We enjoyed our stay with breakfasts on sunsets on the lanai when we weren’t out having fun. Excellent location from which to explore the area. We missed the front bedroom closet full of beach supplies - make sure you look! Loved the generous allotment of towels including beach towels. Only issue we had was internet issues which the property management informed us about before we even noticed and let us know that someone would be by to fix it the next day. Not ideal, but we made it work.Already scheming on a return visit. Thanks!

Sound of the surf

What a wonderful location with view of Kailua Bay, close to shopping and beaches. Lovely pool. The condo is comfortable, fully equipped kitchen, large lanai where we enjoyed eating meals and watching sunsets. I would definitely rebook this place.

Great Location

The unit was clean and well stocked. Comfortable and we’ll layer out. The balcony was great for eating and relaxing, though the neighbors pool is near the balcony and could get noisy…fyi.

We love Ali'i villas and it is now our go to spot when we travel to Kona. Clean, quiet and close to everything. This unit was exceptional, full kitchen, great view and comfortable beds. I appreciated the property manager getting us into a new place without any hassle. The unit itself was fine, however I did feel it was a bit tight for 6 adults. The couple that took the pullout sofa found it too uncomfortable to sleep on and ended up using the blowup mattress with outdoor chair cushions on it. Other than that it was clean, quiet, and I felt safe in the location. I would 100% recommend it, just not for a group of 6.

I get you have to wait for people to get out, but if the unit is available earlier is should be made available to the client. This is not walking distance if you are over 50 and out shape to anything. Aslo don't call and ask if I would like to buy something in the area. I was there for work, and I know when I'm on vacation I find that annoying as all get out.

Bring your binocs! You can watch the ocean and boats, even from kitchen!

Lovely condo, great view, especially in its price range. We kept our binocs on the patio table to watch for ocean life and water activities in the bay! The 2 new room a/c units worked well with fans in temperate, early May. Mgmt company responsive, only minor issue was with WiFi that reset to the password on the box vs. instructions, then worked fine. You’ll need your own Netflix and other services passwords to use them. The condo complex no longer allows you to have keys to access the oceanfront lava rock/water, that is not the condo owners fault. We have done scuba diving from those rocks in the past, so that was very disappointing. Parking very convenient, quiet complex, nice!

July 6 - 11 Stay

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, the place was conveniently located for us. Had a nice evening view. Amenities were nice. Didn't tell us there was snorkeling equipment and a boogie board in the spare room closet. We didn't find them until the last day. Would have been nice to know up front. We were gone most of the day every day and mainly used the unit for relaxation at end of the day and to sleep. You are expected to clean the pots, glasses, plates etc before you leave and to empty the trash. Caution: some of the plates, pots, and silverware were not clean, but had been put away when we arrived. Also be aware that, as the photo shows, the pool for the neighboring property is right outside the room. Overall, the people using the pool were quiet, but there was definitely no privacy on the lanai when people were in the pool.

We are so sorry that you found dirty dishes upon your arrival. We do have a team who does a walk through inspection before guests arrive to ensure this doesn't happen and catch anything that may have been missed by the housekeepers. We don't guarantee any snorkel equipment or boogie boards in the unit as whatever is there is generally what other guests have left. Glad you enjoyed the location and that it was a great place to rest in the evenings for you.

Cleanliness issues

We arrived late at night with good instructions on how to park and enter the unit. The unit appeared as it was listed and we loved the view. The next day we noticed bites and thought it might have been ants, however, it was only on my husband. We have never had an issue with bed bugs ever and did not know what the bites were. We spent the night searching and discovering bed beds in our bed and on the couch. We contacted the property manager first thing in the morning-Knutson and Associates-and they sent out pest control. Pest control confimed the unit had bed bugs. We could not stay in the unit and were forced to find alternate accommodations. We were offered a full refund, however, we lost 2 days of our vacation doing doing laundry and purchasing cleaning products to ensure we did not take this issue with us. We cleaned the unit before we left and noticed a lot more bed bugs. It was clear this unit was not checked before we arrived. We sincerley hope this does not happen to anyone else. It is a horrible way to spend your vacation and we are extremely disappointed. The owner has hired a property management firm called Knutson and Associates to manage the unit, however, they did not maintain the property. GROSS !! We were disappointed in how were we treated and how they managed the situation.

Aloha, Respectfully, there are some inaccuracies stated here that we would like to clarify for the public. We never received a report from you about the bugs until the 3rd day into your stay. There were 0 bugs prior so we were very alarmed when you reported them. We did have the entire property heavily treated and no such bugs are in the property anymore. We're very sorry this happened to you.

The cleanest, most well stocked VRBO I have ever stayed in. The location was great, and sunsets from Ali’I Villas is wonderful. The only down side is the lanai sitting right over the pool of the neighboring property. When there are kids in the pool it’s loud all day and into the evening.

Very pleasant stay. A great discovery of Hawaii

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Clean and well located apartment. Nice view. Well equipped apartment. On the other hand, the furniture on the terrace deserves to be replaced with deckchairs and chairs of questionable cleanliness. To replace. Provide more light on the terrace.
