Quiet Country Setting, Close to Trails

Sunset Cottage is a spacious 2 bedroom home located in Eben Junction, 20 minutes from Munising MI. Stay at this cozy, cottage away from it all, but only a short drive to visit the Pictured Rocks area. The cottage sits on 27 acres, plenty of space for children to play or walk your dogs. *Dogs MUST be on a leash or tied up at all times! We will ask you to leave if this rule is not followed. Eben Ice Caves are one of Michigan’s prime winter attractions. Each winter, once the ice caves start to freeze up locals and visitor's head out to see the ice caves and, while they're out there, support local businesses like the New Moon Tavern and The Snack Bar Restaurant. This home is fully equipped with everything you need for your vacation, a full kitchen including an industrial size stove, and washer and dryer in the basement. Enjoy a back yard barbeque, relaxing on the deck watching beautiful sunsets over 27 acres, sitting in the sauna, or around the fire roasting marshmallows. This 2 bedroom home sleeps 6 comfortably with 2 queen beds and a sofa pull out bed and if you wanted that camping experience, tents are welcome on the property (limit to 2). This cottage is the perfect home away from home. Pets are welcome and we do require a pet fee. $53/pet plus a one time $30 cleaning charge.

**PETS! Airbnb may only charge you for the 1st pet, you will be requested to send an additional $50 plus tax ($53) per pet. Our pet policy is $50/pet plus tax plus an additional one time cleaning charge of $30. If Airbnb does not collect this amount you are still responsible. We're respecting your pet, so please respect our pet policy. Clean up after your pet, please do not allow pets on furniture. Please keep kenneled if left alone. If your pet barks when you are gone, please do not leave it alone.

***There is a doorbell camera mounted at the entryway outside.

***Door code will be released the night prior to check-in for security purposes.

***If you are booking through Airbnb or VRBO you will receive a separate contract from Pictured Rocks Vacation Rentals. In order to receive check-in information you will be required to sign this.

Good Place, Could Be Perfect

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is beautiful and looks just like the photos, with a great, well-stocked kitchen that was easy to use. However, there were a few issues during our stay that made things less comfortable. The listing mentioned two queen beds, but one was actually a double. The water from the well came out brown and gritty for the second half of our stay, and we did see a mouse inside the house. With some attention and maintenance, this could be a really lovely place to stay.

We loved the outdoor space and fire pit, although we had to buy firewood even though the photos implied it was provided. The privacy was great and road noise was not bad. The house is ok and met our needs. I’d suggest you bring your own coffee mug as those in the house are way too large and cumbersome.

Sunset Cottage

Remote home on 27 acres was clean, great supply of soft towels and extremely comfortable bed. Mouse made a home in an oven mitt and luckily I wasn’t bit but washed my hands numerous times. Dumped waste in trash. Didn’t realize home didn’t have A/C and it was pretty hot. Advertised a near trails but needed a place to park the trailer.

Perfect location to explore the UP!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at property. Very clean, had everything you need and great location. Only 20 mins to the pictured rocks cruises, which I highly recommend! Would stay again.

Quiet country setting

Nice little house out in the country. Close enough to fun places, but with lots of room and privacy for our family. House is well stocked with the basics. The sauna was a nice perk! Checkout process was easy.

Great Space Close to MTB Trails

This house was in a great area with plenty for us to do. We ended up going to MTB trails south of Marquette and it was awesome fun. The little grocery just a few minutes away was warm and welcoming and well stocked. I bought my morning cup of coffee there and then we would head out to bike. The ice cream shop nearby was a treat at the end of the day. I would recommend this house to anyone who wants easy access to the great outdoors and a cozy home to relax in at the end of the day.

LolYou should think about putting air conditioning in, placing curtains in the kitchen bc the sun blasts you while you’re eating and cooking. There needs to be more instructions on how to use the stove and oven. We didn’t know how to use oven and was scared to turn it on. Other than that it was nice!

Great Property for family vacation

The cottage was clean and well supplied. Communication with the rental company was great, very responsive and helpful. This was a great location for so many activities we had planned in the U.P. Close to Munising and within an hour drive of Kitch-iti-kipi, among others. We loved being able to bring our pup who enjoyed the large acreage along with our children, ages 6 & 8.

To far from trail

The house is wonderful. The only problem we had is VRBO places the house next to the Snack Shack but it isn't. It is a little over a mile south of it. So for snowmobiling it's not ideal. We ruined one of the ski's on the pavement. Other than that the house is wonderful.

We were visiting Pictured Rocks in Munising MI and were discouraged by all the people so we decided to get away and found this charming single level home in the country - We loved it - Had all the amenities of home including a washer and drier. Just 15 minutes from the tour boat for Pictured Rocks. We would highly recommend this property.
