Located in Tankah, only minutes away from Tulum, Mexico Villa Escapar is the perfect setting for a family vacation, excursion with friends, or a quick romantic getaway. This luxurious villa offers enough space to comfortably accommodate up to 10 guests. Our three-level beachfront home features a magnificent open grand entryway complete with a picturesque fountain and two winding stair cases leading to lavish common areas and private bedrooms. Villa Escapar includes 2 private bedrooms with king beds, 3 bedrooms with a queen bed, 5 Ā½ bathrooms, a fully equipped chefā€™s kitchen, living area with a flat screen TV and Bose surround system, and a Casita with 30 feet from the main house.. The spacious upper-level terrace offers incredible ocean views from our private bedrooms and comfortable outdoor accommodations. The rooftop lounge is the picture-perfect setting for romantic sunsets/sunrises, evening libations or stargazing. Enjoy a breathtaking full ocean view and walk-out access to the beautiful infinity pool complete with built-in lounges and swim-up bar overlooking the private white sand beach. Relax in the covered veranda with 2 full sofas, covered palapa, dining area and a hammock. Our beachfront palapas include teak lounges. The beach in front of the house is the nesting grounds for the Leatherback turtle, an endangered species. From May thru September they lay their eggs and you can see the baby turtles hatch as well. Conveniently located, this one-of-a-kind villa is a 75 minute drive south of Cancun airport, 40 minutes from the lovely Playa Del Carmen, and a short drive to the city of Tulum. Our exceptional on-site caretakers are ready to take excellent care of you and can arrange for cooking services if you would like. There is a menu available via email or at the Villa if you would like the staff to prepare your meals for you. Beautiful house. Ruby and Armenio are absolutely AMAZING!!!! So sweet and everything they cooked was so good! House is pretty remote so I recommend having them cook for you and their food is better than any restaurant we tried. They only had 5 beach chairs for 10 of us so we asked them about it and the next day they brought us 4 more chairs!

Host: John is super helpful. He answered my questions quickly and was so kind in helping us figure out Tulum. Caretakers: Arsenio and Rubi blew us away with incredible food and house keeping. Arsenio is a full fledged chef who has decided to focus on delivering incredible meals in this setting. Rubi is no slouch herself as she kicked out some incredible food for us. We went out to eat at the most expensive place in Tulum on night and we're sorry we didn't just eat at home base with Arsenio and Rubi. Rooms: This place is a palace. Beds are comfortable and the home is kept in impeccable shape. Super clean. Grounds: Private and luxurious. The Pool has a bar in it with stools. You are basically at the beach when you are at the pool.

We loved Villa Escapar. The caretakers Rubi and Arsenio are very sweet and they are there for anything you need. The house is very beautiful and has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. I traveled with my husband, our nanny and our four kids and everyone loved the Villa. We plan to return at the end of the year. I highly recommend Villa Escapar.

We had a wonderful stay at this villa. John was a great host and answered all our questions promptly & helped with setting everything up at the property before we arrived. The personal chefs/housekeepers we had - Arsenio & Ruby - were the best part. We can't say enough good things about them and can't thank them enough for their hospitality. They took such good care of us; we did not worry about shopping for any of our food needs. It was all arranged as we requested. We got to eat fresh restaurant-style customized meals every day of our stay. They even made excellent cocktails - margaritas, palomas, martinis. The villa was more than comfortable for our group of 9. It felt very private and secluded although. The views from the pool were breathtaking. This place is conveniently just 15mins from Tulum downtown and about 30 mins from the tourist beach area. The only notable downsides during our stay were that the beaches were full of sargassum and even otherwise very rocky, making it difficult to get into the sea. And the unpaved roads of the neighborhood, which made the 10min drive to get to/from the villa a bit too uncomfortable.

Vacation in Paradise!

The house is beautiful but honestly what you can't beat was Arsenio and Ruby the care takers, they are amazing! From the food ,the cocktails and overall hospitality they are top notch. We could not have had a better stay. I did not want to leave. They made this vacation over the top. Thank you Ruby and Arsenio for everything, we will be back!

This was one of the greatest trips weā€™ve had in years. Arsenio and Ruby made the trip for usā€¦having our meals cooked to perfection, and every need met and the house kept clean, was unbelievably satisfying and enabled us to fully relax. The house was impeccable. Everything worked as it should, no bugs, no weird stuff like in the past weā€™ve had at other VRBOs. It was just perfect. Thereā€™s nothing I would change about this trip. I would say when traveling to Tulum have your pesos worked out ahead of timeā€¦ it was difficult to do the exchanges at the bank ATMs. I actually got ripped off once for 400 bucks, my bankā€™s trying to get the money backā€¦other than that a perfect trip. Also, please remember to tip the hosting coupleā€¦ 20% of your VRBO cost is usually standard and they were well worth it. They also do prefer pesos, so once again work out your pesos before you travel. One last comment, my daughter left her teddy bear that sheā€™s had since she was a little girl and Arsenio is Fedex-ing it back to us which I thought was way above and beyond! Outstanding service, outstanding house! We would change nothing!

Just Perfect!

This magnificent property was the perfect place for me and several buddies from college to relax and unwind. Louisa and Manual are friendly, unintrusive and extremely accommodating. Excellent accommodations and even better hosts! Cannot say enough wonderful things about Arsenio and Rubi! They were so warm and welcoming, adding so many thoughtful details to our stay. The house was immaculate and was exactly as advertised. The ocean was pretty rough when we went, but Arsenio can direct you to a lagoon nearby. Water shoes are a must for the ocean. Definitely highly recommend!

Fun in the sun

Villa Escapar is a sizeable home and large enough for big groups/families. The house is exactly as described. Ruby and Aresenio are amazing! They truly you want you to relax and enjoy your vacation with wonderful attention to detail. The food was delicious. We had them prepare most of our meals, except for the few we ate out.. Highly recommend this property.

Nothing but the best

I have to say the this property is the best we have rented on Home away. The property is set at the North end of Tulum on a secluded beach. A couple of houses share the beach but no big hotels or high rises near your private location. Manuel and Luisa are perfect hosts tending to whatever you need. We had a big group and Luisa was up for the challenge to prepare some unbelievable meals. The property has every amenity needed. Would highly recommend you stay here.

Loved it! A fantastic family vacation.

This property was more beautiful that we ever imagined. The photos truly do not do it justice. There are no words adequate to describe the lengths that Arsenio and Rubi went to to make sure our every need was met (before we even knew what our needs were). The meals were delicious, the space was comfortable and clean, and the surroundings were indescribably beautiful and luxurious. Prior to the visit, communication with the owner was easy and beyond helpful: he answered all of our questions promptly and thoroughly. We highly recommend this property for your family vacation.

We had a wonderful week at Villa Escapar. The house is excellent with great views, wonderful rooms, comfortable beds, and air conditioning throughout. The caretakers/chef's are even better. Ruby and Arsenio were the best hosts. They cooked delicious food all week and treated our group like family. It was so nice to be able to be able to stay away from the crowds and still eat gourmet meals. Ruby and Arsenio also arranged outdoor massages at the house overlooking beautiful Caribbean. They had the villa stocked with delicious food when we arrived and they went out several times to get special request items. John, the owner of the villa was a great communicator. He answered every question within minutes. You will absolutely love this house and the hosts!

Great stay in Tulum

We stayed for a week at Villa Escapar with another family. Both families have young kids. Luisa and Manuel took fantastic care of us. Luisa prepared great meals and Manuel cleaned the beach every day and even took us to the beach down the road and took us snorkeling. The beach at Villa Escapar is pretty rocky/coral-covered. You need to bring water shoes if you want to go in the water. Our teenager stepped on a sea urchin in the coral the first day we were there. We drove into Tulum and purchased shoes at the Chedraui in town. We drove into Tulum and spent the day at Ziggyā€™s Beach Club ā€” the beach there is free of coral/rocks. Villa Escapar is beautiful and very well maintained by Luisa and Manuel. We loook forward to visiting again.

Beautiful private Mexican getaway

Villa Escapar is utterly amazing. We will never forget this vacation. Rubi and Arcenio make this place a home away from home. They both take so much pride in tending to your every need from the smallest to the tallest guest . šŸ˜Š. When the wind blew a tree into the power line and electricity was lost for a moment , they still served an over the top dinner and resolved the situation without missing a beat. They truly care about making your experience the best they can. We will visit them again. ā¤ļø Make sure you have them cook for you everyday. Amazing Experience

This house is everything you want for a vacation. The pool is spectacular, the views around the house are stunning, the baby sea turtles are the cutest thing you've ever seen, and the food is stellar! We did a friend's trip here and left a few times for activities but wanted to rush back to the house to enjoy the pool, Louisa's food, and the beach. The staff is fantastic and you hardly notice they are there and they provide anything you want. We saw large leatherback sea turtles every night come up from the ocean and lay their eggs and then cover them up and swim out to sea. There was seaweed that washed up on the shore so bring water shoes if you want to go into the ocean. It is a little rocky upon entering the water. The only complaint I have is that we didn't stay long enough.

The advertised location of this property was KEY to us deciding to book this house!! This property is nowhere near 10 minutes from ANY part of town in Tulum. It is located at least 30 to 40 minutes from Tulum. The location caused us to change plans in our entire trip as we were unable to travel to parts of town due to how far away it was. This also added significant cost in transportation due to location. Very disappointing. Other feedback - the 5th room is above a detached building on property, this was not made clear so we had to have some sleep on the couch to not separate group. House did not have any extra blankets or towels initially and AC did not work in one room until day 2. The house is nice. Host/chef were FABULOUS.

PERFECT VACATION SPOT FOR ALL AGES!

What a great Christmas vacation we had this year at Villa Escapar! Our family met from Austin and Chicago and included a 6 year old, two 14 year olds, three 20-somethings and the rest a range up to age 76...I can honestly say we all had one of the best vacations of our life. The villa felt like our own private resort (which was great for being together as a group and enjoying some of our holiday traditions from home.) It is in a great neighborhood and we walked both to Cenotes (underground caverns for snorkeling/diving) and restaurants. The cute beach road of Tulum is easy to drive to and we had a few amazing dinners and lunches there (The Hartwood, Matteos, Tabano). The villa itself is wonderful - plenty of places for all of us to gather both inside and out and the views throughout the day are amazing. But the best part is Luisa and Manuel - they helped with anything we needed, stayed flexible from day to day as our plans would sometimes change, and their smiles made us happy. By the end we felt they were friends. We would definitely recommend Tulum and Villa Escapar to anyone and hope to get back there for another visit in the future.

The beach in front of the house is the nesting grounds for the Leatherback turtle, an endangered species. From May thru September they lay their eggs and you can see the baby turtles hatch as well.
