Original lake cottage with great views, sloping lot and 2 screened in porches . Large deck and screened porch on dock that was just rebuilt 2022! All bedrooms downstairs along with one bathroom. Kitchen, den, screened in porch, and bathroom on second floor. Public boat ramp is right around the corner! This is not a fancy home but a quaint summer lake cottage that we just love!

We stayed three nights at this location and it was awesome! The screened in porches were definitely a favorite hangout and the quiet atmosphere was perfect. The only downside was that the third bedroom has no privacy. The bunk bedroom is in an open area which was a little hard for our teenage daughter, but not a dealbreaker.

This was our second stay here and it was as good as our first. Nice quiet cove close to the mountains and close to the SML Dock boat rental facility.We loved being able to hang out on the dock area at night on the numerous chair options. The sofa in the screened in section of the dock also provides a nice escape at night if your fellow guests are heavy snorers.For dinner we could all sit around the large table on screened in deck, off the kitchen. Great location on SML!

It was a wonderful week. The house is in a fantastic location near the damn area of the lake. The dock is wonderful and easy to swim off of and the room above the dock was great for the kids to play games in and just hang out. I have no criticisms, except a minor suggestion of maybe adding some more kitchen supplies like mixing bowls, etc. we had a great day.

Great place

Great place. Between tge dock porch and the screen porch and the big covered dock we had plenty of space on the rainy days. Great location, lots of boatable restaurants

Great location on Smith Mountain Lake. Host answered all questions immediately and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great. Would definitely like to stay there again!

Life of Luxury on the Lake!

This is our second time staying here, and we already know we'll be coming back every year! The owners are amazing—always responsive, kind, and incredibly helpful. The house itself is perfect for our family. When we're not enjoying the water, we spend nearly all of our time on the two screened-in porches. It's the most relaxing vacation spot we’ve ever found!

Another great experience!

Our second summer stay at this perfectly furnished lake house! 7 adults and one teenager and plenty of gathering spaces for all. Easy check in and out, friendly host.

Great stay!

Our group of 8 ladies enjoyed our stay! The house sit perfectly on a quiet cove. The dock on the lake was our mainstay: from morning coffee to midday cocktails. The owners always got back to us immediately if needed anything. Definitely will come back to this beautiful destination and property!

Relaxing girl's weekend

I stayed at this property with 4 of my girlfriends. We had a great time, mostly relaxing on the deck and in the water. The cove was a perfect spot for swimming and playing on our stand up paddleboards. The house was perfect for our needs.

Best screened in porch at SML

This cottage is so cute and the perfect spot for a low key, relaxing vacation. We spent most of our week swimming in the cove and sitting at the table on the huge screened in porch. Chris and Joey were so helpful and responsive when we reached out. The only thing that would make this property better would be a dishwasher but it wasn’t a deal breaker for us. We will definitely be back!

Clean and charming!

The Ohio family came to see the Virginia family and met up here for a weekend at the lake. The cottage is better than described, with clean, comfortable rooms and several gathering areas with beautiful views. We spent most of our time in the screened-in porch at the dock, and the sunrise views were gorgeous. We rented a pontoon and had no trouble tying up at the dock. The kitchen was well-furnished- we made all of our meals there. The Roy’s were great to work with and we hope to come back again!

Best Lake Trip Ever!

Our group had the most fun at this lake property! Chris, our property host, was AMAZING, so responsive and friendly! The house was precious! We spent so much time on the screened in porch. We ate dinner out there every night and played games! During the day, the screened in portion of the deck provided the perfect break away from the sun, but still allowed you to be part of the group! There is a tv and refrigerator at the dock so we packed lunches and ate by the water every day! We floated in the lake all day with easy access in and out of the water. Chris allowed us to use their paddleboards which was so much fun! We cannot wait to return to this property!!

Great house and amazing dock

We rent a house on the lake every year for a long weekend in Aug and our original spot wasn't available. This house was a nice improvement and we may consider it next year instead if available. We rented a pontoon from The Dock nearby and were able to tie it up to the dock during our stay. The house is easy to get to and the instructions were clear. Inside there a lot of places to sit and congregate, including a screened-in porch off the main family room/kitchen. The kitchen is well stocked with everything we needed for making all of our meals. The bunk beds downstairs are in a hallway, so just keep in mind that anyone sleeping there won't have full privacy. We hung out a lot on the dock and some swimming in the cove. The dock has been recently redone, so the boards are not warped and splintered like many docks. There is a covered and screened-in deck on the dock as well, with small fridge. Again lots of places to sit comfortably. The particular cove the house is in had lots of friendly neighbors that were out floating during the day.

My family has been looking at property on SML for 10 years. We were waiting for the perfect lot and we found it! Gentle sloping lot to water, quiet cove off of the main channel, and a spacious boat dock with a screened porch. We spend hours playing games on the screened in porches!

This is the perfect place for you if you want a true lake experience. The house is older but definitely has a lake house feel. A family stopped by to see us and her 15 year old son loved our home because he said it felt like a lake house. There is paneling in the upstairs kitchen and den, one bathroom upstairs, and a screened in porch beside the den. There are two bedrooms downstairs (one king) (2 queens) and another room with 2 bunks (4 twins). There is also a downstairs bathroom.
