Typically a weekend retreat for the heart, soul & palate. Modern private apartment located in Honesdale PA. The apartment has two bedrooms, a full kitchen, living room, and dining room. Perfect for couples looking for a quick getaway at a reasonable price. One room has a large 55” plasma screen TV and air conditioner, Xbox 1 with access to Netflix & Hulu. Other room has 58" smart TV. Living Room 70” immersive LG TV
The space
The Retreat is located just outside of Historic Honesdale in a safe and quite neighborhood. Apartment has two bedrooms with linens provided, fully furnished with a stocked kitchen with all cooking necessities. Spacious living room with an immersive 70" LG Smart TV.

We left after a walk through and didn't stay. The property was not at all as advertised. The property was not ready when we arrived, the owner was in our "apartment" and they were weed trimming the backyard. The pictures on the website did not match what was there when we got there. The fire pit with the pergolo above it with the nice chair set outside was not set up and not available. There was trash and debris all throughout the backyard. The interior of the rental was beat up, smelled and the bathroom had mold on the wood frame to the door that went outside. There was only a cheap door that separated us what we are assuming is where the owners stayed. It was not advertised as an apartment that was part of a bigger house. It was just completely different from what we anticipated as one of the pictures had A view of the lake and that lake was nowhere to be seen. We completely feel like this was false advertising.

Horrible experience ans totally misrepresented advertising

The first thing we noticed upon entry was the horrible moldy and mildewy smell. We thought perhaps the AC hadn't been turned on and so started tge ONE unit in one bedroom for the whole apartment. This was NOT in the original ad and when i questioned the owner the week before we travelled, i was assured thet AC was in the unit.. No explanation of the one bedroom.being the only one, even though i specifically asked due to two family members with asthma. There was a dehimidifer thay we immediately turned on and ended up emptying the bucket three times in 2 days! It looked as though no cleaning had been done in months. Everything was damp from the humidity, filthy, floors peeling from the dampness, the fridge didnt close and seal, causing leaks on the floor, the sliding doors didnt close or latch, allowing bugs in,and the back yard area was a junk yard, not a place to hang out and relax. The firepit was full of junk, the chairs were coming apart, and debris littered the yars. My daugter got.bitten by, what we are assuming were fleas, as this is pet friendly but hadnt been cleaned recently. Doors were cracked and peeling from moisture, mold in the shower tracks, etc. We filed a formal complaint with VRBO and informed the host that we ledt after the 2nd night....tried to make the beat of it but this place is truly misrepresented. We have photos of every thing listed and asked for a partial refund and review of the property as its very unfair tp qdvertose something that is not!

We were happy to stay in this cozy place. Perfect for an anniversary.

We liked staying in this place. Everything we needed was available. The owners were upstairs, but we did not hear a peep out of them the whole time. Very peaceful!

Decent stay

Very nice property manager. Wish it was a little clearer about sharing a split level house with the property manger. But good location, decent stay, love that it’s pet friendly!

In 2017 my son graduated Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. After graduating college, my son had the foresight to transition our full-time rentals into what is now considered Short Stay Rentals since May of 2017.
