Casa Alegre is an oceanfront estate that retains the flavor of the original Casa de Campo wooden style homes. In this peaceful and very private setting, enjoy the view of the vast ocean and island of Catalinita in the distance while lounging by the pool or relaxing under the expansive thatched covered terrace. The fully staffed villa offers 12 bedrooms/15 bathrooms that comfortably sleeps 24 (max please for great service and comfort) including kids. The grounds include two pools, large jacuzzi, a mini-gym, sea stairs, and lawn area. We are in the Casa De Campo Resort which offers a multitude of activities, shopping, restaurants, and some of the best golf in the world.
You can truly relax knowing we are taking care of all of your needs. The goal of Casa Alegre and its staff is to make your vacation experience as pleasurable as possible. Included in the price is full staff: twice daily maid service, chef, waiters/bartender, on-site concierge service for securing dinner reservations, organizing activities, arranging airport transfers, taxi services and rental cars, and assisting with any special requests that you may have. We offer pre-stocking groceries and supplies, and ask for $4,000 as your credit towards pre-stocking(listed on this site as an Admin charge but all for guest use): on site spa services and on site exercise classes on request at extra charge. Resort has a strict noise curfew of midnight, no loud music or parties after that time. We are not accepting weddings at this time.
Within Casa De Campo Hotel and Resort is 7,000 acres where you can enjoy four top ranked golf courses, the resort's Beach Club, world class dining, nightlife and activities for everyone in your group. The internationally renowned Altos De Chavon, a Mediterranean old-world style village, offers nightlife, boutiques, a picturesque church perfect for weddings, and a Grecian style amphitheater. The Portofino-inspired Marina boasts fine dining, designer shopping and nightlife with spectacular sunset views. All of these world class facilities and more can be enjoyed while being treated with warm Dominican Hospitality.
Casa de Campo Resort requires ALL guests to register and pay a resort fee/registration fee on arrival and effective Feb 1, 2026 the new rates are $30 per adult per night, $15 per child 4-12 yrs old per night, under 4 yrs complementary.

The entire stay, from initial reservation to check-out, exceeded expectations. Deena was an amazing host, and the hospitality extended by the staff was outstanding, better than any 5-star resort that I have stayed at. I highly recommend this property and it would be the only place that I would stay at Casa de Campo.

Deena was amazing, very easy to communicate with both prior and during the stay. The house is stunning and very comfortable for the entire family. The staff is super nice and there is a sense of family vibrating through them all. The food was really good except for the breakfast which was difficult for a big group and ended up being repetitive. Also VRBO does not CLEARLY list the extra fees that we had to pay for Casa de Campo. This is obligatory and really added up. Lastly the way meals work is a chef shops daily and cooks prefixed menus. Billed at the end, this cost is hard to control. We ended up using our own credit card for the chef to shop with, so we could control it a bit better. Room for improvement on that particular matter. But we would definitely repeat this vacation together at the same house!

Awesome getaway with great staff!

We had a great time at Casa Alegre.. Juan, the manager, and his staff were excellent! We were surprised at how well the chef cooked such a large variety of food. We were very well taken care of. A must visit!

My family cannot say enough how absolutely incredible this property is! It exceeded our expectations at every step and was well worth the cost. Our majordomo (the Man!), Juan, was exceptional and he and his staff made our stay magical. Should we return to the DR again, I cannot imagine staying anywhere else!

Amazing stay!

We absolutely loved our stay at this villa. We felt like we had a boutique resort all to ourselves with the most caring/amazing staff. Juan anticipated and took care of all our needs, chef Ozzie made the most delicious meals, and the rest of the staff made us feel at home. We will be back again!! Highly recommend this villa to all group the types. Best vacation yet

Excellent 4 Days in Casa De Campo

The property and staff are amazing. Juan, Deena, Chef Ozzy, and the team made our trip one of the most memorable we have had. We had dinner for 14 at the villa two of the four nights we stayed. Every thing we ate was fantastic. The staff were able to arrange transportation and nanny services for the group. We will be returning.

Spectacular property with amazing staff!

Just got back from a stay, 12 adults in our group, and can’t say enough wonderful things about the incredible property and Staff! Incredible outdoor living spaces with breathtaking views, very well maintained, fabulous food and welcoming staff. First class stay and already looking for an opportunity to go back. Also, the process leading up to our stay was perfect – great communication with Deena and everything was perfectly organized before we even arrived. Thank you for the incredible memories!

50th in Paradise

I highly recommend Casa Alegre! It was paradise! We spent 4 nights celebrating my 50th birthday. The planning was super smooth with Deena- she has quick response time to every questions and is able to help book any adventure you want. The home (if possible) is even more beautiful than the pictures!And the staff is top notch- Juan and team make your time effortless and jump in to organize and coordinate everything you need for a dream vacation. This is an absolutely stunning property with first class service!! Every need or ask was anticipated, attended to, granted. From a boat charter to breakfast sandwiches before golf to snacks for the “kids” for their travel home, Juan and his team made it happen. We’ll be back just as soon as we can!!!!

Just incredible!

From start to finish, this was the most magical vacation I have ever had. We brought 24 of our best friends and family to this house and it was spectacular. Juan is the man! He and the staff had everything covered exactly as advertised and made the long weekend so special. This group was excellent in their forethought and planning. They knew exactly how they wanted this Milestone birthday weekend to be celebrated with different decor and music nightly and special menus. Birthday celebration with our closest friends

We had the trip of a lifetime at casa Alegre! We celebrated my 55th birthday with 11 other couples and never had to leave the property. Deena was responsive to every question we had prior to our visit. Every room was meticulous and so comfortable. Juan is “the man”! He took care of every request we had including a dinner reservation at a restaurant that was “booked”. The entire staff was wonderful and the location spectacular! 10 out 10!

We had a fabulous stay! From the moment we booked this villa, Deena was so helpful and accommodating! She helped me plan the most amazing vacation! The transfers from the airport, excursion and all the meals were even better than we could have asked for. All of her recommendations were spot on! We loved that each of the 12 bedrooms has its own bathroom. The beds were comfortable, the amenities were perfect! You can tell that Deena has an attention to detail, as everything we needed was taken care of before we could even think about it! Juan, the chef, and the rest of the staff were all great! Juan was always there with a smile and happy to help with any request and he makes the best rum punch!!! We also loved the flexibility of using the golf carts to explore Casa de Campo and several in our group appreciated the use of the van to explore elsewhere. Everyone in our group enjoyed the view from the hot tub, perched above the ocean with the waves crashing into the rocks below-it was awesome!!! We couldn’t have asked for a better trip! Thanks again to Juan, Deena and everyone for making it one of the best trips we have ever taken!

Paradise!!!

Casa Alegra was everything you could imagine and more!! We spent 4 nights with 8 couples and we’ve all agreed this vacation is in our top 5 places we’ve been too. The property is stunning and maintained throughout the day and the interior of the house is beautiful. There is no “bad” bedroom. Plenty to do from paddle boarding, jumping into the ocean and snorkel, hanging out at the large hot tub watching the sunset, 2 pools, hammocks, ping pong, pool table and plenty of lounge chairs so you can follow the sun through out the day. The staff were exceptional with Juan as Majordomo and Wilmer his assistant spoiling us and Chef Ozzy who prepared delicious cuisine all day. This truly has been a dream vacation and we can’t thank you enough. We can’t wait to come back!

The pictures are exactly what you get. The property is perfect. Very clean and everything functioned correctly. One small problem with an AC unit, but it was addressed immediately. Juan, the house manager, is terrific. He was always around, very accommodating and always happy. He joined in the fun with us and was a great addition. The chef was outstanding. Meals were so good we never went out to a restaurant. Deena, the owner, was always available pre-trip to answer questions and help with bookings we needed. The property and the experience were fabulous!!! I would rebook again without hesitation.

6 Family Spring Break 2023

We traveled with 5 families from school for Spring Break 2023 - all children ages ranged from 3-9. We all can't say enough incredible things about the property and the owner. The property was gorgeous and looked better then the photos - it was like living in a movie. Juan the house manager, chef Ozzy and the driver Antonio were absolutely incredible! The owner Deena was very quick to reply to no less then 50 emails and was extremely helpful and patient. We booked the catamaran for an adult day and would also recommend. Deena helped up book lifeguards and sitters on property to help with the kids. The kids enjoyed the pool, corn hole, and the ping pong and foosball table. Don’t Think, Just Book It

Casa Alegre is an absolutely breathtaking villa. The ocean views are spectacular and the layout of the property lends itself so well to large groups. There are 12 bedrooms with en suite bathrooms and each room is well appointed and comfortable. We were only traveling with adults, but the casitas would be perfect for families with kids. Deena is an exceptional host and not only answered all of the questions I had, but made fabulous recommendations for activities, meals, etc. She was an absolute pleasure to work with! From the moment you arrive, Juan will make sure everything is taken care of. He is such a fun presence on the property without being intrusive in the least. He works incredibly hard to make sure every detail of your trip is perfect and always remains cool, calm, and collected. The chef is out of this world! I would recommend eating the majority of your meals on the property. Nothing beats the ocean view, fabulous cocktails, and delicious food! You will have golf carts available to you should you want to explore Casa de Campo, play tennis, go golfing, hang out at the beach, explore town etc. This really is a one-of-a-kind property and I truly cannot recommend it enough!!

Best Weekend Ever!

Best Weekend Ever!!! – this became the name of the group text for our 24 travelers, and it’s also the appropriate headline for our review! From the moment we walked through the doors, we were amazed! From the stunning views to the expansive living space, and on to the many activities available, we knew we’d found a hidden gem in paradise. Communication with Deena (prior to arrival) and Juan (during our stay) was seamless, and I appreciate all the help organizing our transportation, menu planning, and predicting snacks/bar needs to prepare for. While on property, Juan and his team took exceptional care of us, making sure that every need was met before it was voiced. While Juan and Wilmer acted as the “face” of the team, interacting with all of us and bartending/serving meals, the rest of the staff worked in the background – we hardly knew they were there, except that everything was always clean & tidy, we had delicious meals/snacks as planned, and the daily shopping ensured that we never ran out of booze! This group is very well traveled, and can be pretty picky, so it’s really something when I can say that not a single person had one issue during our stay! In fact, several of the girls are seriously looking at holding future family events here, and there’s even talk of a reunion for this group! I can’t recommend Casa Allegre highly enough – just book it!

80 birthday celebration

it was absolutely fabulous!! I would never have expected this trip to be one of the best I've ever had. working with Deena was amazing. She was very responsive and efficient and calmed me with all my worries!! we traveled With 10 grandchildren and 5 adults and everything was perfect from the moment we arrived when the bus picked us up too the minute we left. Juan was the best - planning our activities, overseeing our well being, even being lifeguard as our kids were jumping into the ocean outside our house. He even used his medical skills to remove splinters from my grandsons foot!!! the house itself is stunning. the kids couldn't believe it. Every room was fantastic. wonderful beds, great showers including hair dryers and robes. Our meals were amazing. Ozzy is chef extraordinary, from our delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner everyone had great food to choose from. including my vegan vegetarian granddaughter. When family had outings Ozzy packed a delicious lunch for them to take with them. the pool and hot tub were used every day by all of us. If I could give this property and staff 100 I would do so. If you are looking for a georgeous property with every amenity you want you should choose this property. you will be as thrilled as we were!!! We particularly miss Juan and Ozzy every day!!

The Best Villa in the Dominican Republic

Deena is the most customer-service oriented owner you will ever know. She answers emails, texts, etc. nearly instantly no matter what time of day, will set up any activities you want in advance, works with you on the menu, liquor and wine list, and even helped us with VIP entrance at the airport, birthday cakes, a fire show, and she did it with incredible efficiency. Working directly with the owner is way better than using a travel agent or vacation broker. Once you are on property, Majordomo Juan takes over and handles literally anything you could possibly need, sets up drivers, organizes the golf carts, sets up massages, etc. all while also running the bar for your group all day. The rest of the staff on property working under Juan are fantastic. There are people quietly cleaning the pool every morning, the room cleaning crews are quick and efficient, the gardening is perfect, and they even do laundry if needed. Andres helps Juan with the bar, your luggage is handled for you, truly a first class experience. Chef Ozzy in the kitchen is really talented. The food was always fresh. We had truly incredible meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner that were inventive and paired well with the wines we chose. Lobster tail and steak, huevos rancheros for brunch, baked fish, all were amazing. The Villa is perfectly maintained and has everything:. snorkeling right off the sea walls of the Villa, two pools, hot tub, all immaculate. Do not miss a chance to stay here!
