Keep the fun outside on the furnished deck until the sun goes down, as the stargazing from home base is absolutely breathtaking.

Inside, the cozy cabin atmosphere will have everyone slipping into relaxation mode. Don't worry about having to head out for meals because the well-equipped kitchen awaits the group's chef with all of the major appliances, cookware, and utensils needed to create all of your favorite recipes with ease. Not to mention, the living area has a TV and plenty of seating for everyone to enjoy a movie night before hitting the hay.

Long Pond is beautiful and the cabin's view is breathtaking! We enjoyed the private dock and the kayak and canoe. The location is quiet and beautiful, on a well-tended gravel road in a pine forest with conscientious neighbors. The cabin had just about everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay immensely. We had a few issues with some lights and the grill not working. It would be helpful if ice trays and oven mits were added to the kitchen. I'd also suggest moving the car wheels/tires and what remains of the outdoor shower under the porch to contribute to the general aesthetics. There are a couple of things in the cabin that could use some TLC, like a soft spot in the bathroom floor, lack of enclosure around the outdoor shower, and cobwebs in the rafters, but none of those things detracted much from our time there. We noticed the heater didn't work, but thankfully we didn't need that while we were there. Overall, we had a great stay and enjoyed the cabin! A gorgeous spot for some rest and relaxation!

to be honest, I had a amazing time, but I think my dogs enjoy more than anyone they would not get out the pond, I did so much kayaking fishing went in a canoe. The water is clear

Perfect lake getaway

Came up for a week with my family and 2 dogs. The lake was absolutely beautiful and so relaxing. We spent several hours every day swimming and floating. The house could use a few updates but it was exactly what I was looking for when booking a vacation. I would definitely stay here again!

Terrible, I left as soon as possible

I arrived on Wednesday afternoon and left for home early on Thursday morning. It is a rundown and depressing cottage. Some lights didn't work, heater was loud, house got cold overnight (down to 46 degrees). Bathrooms need to be updated. Bedrooms were dark, dingy, and depressing. No signal on TV. BBQ grill was dirty and in disrepair. Couldn't use lousy public boat launch even for my canoe. Waiting to hear from manager about a refund. The manager wouldn't allow me to view the property prior to my stay, said it was against their rules. So I honored that and now I regret it. Don't rent this place.

Cabin on Long Pond

The home was very rustic and comfortable. There were amazing views of the pond. We loved being on the deck and watching/listening to the birds. Extremely relaxing stay. If I were to make a suggestion, written instructions on operating the heater would be good. There was a space heater we used in the common area and there were plenty of blankets for the bedrooms. Also a ā€œ9ā€ on the side of the cabin or on a tree by the drive would be helpful. We got there after dark and weā€™re confused which cabin was ours in the dark. Maine is very dark at night!

Well, what can I say? We didnā€™t end up staying at all. Truthfully we paid for a whole vacation slept there one night and left the following day- only to have to pay for vacation at another lodging.The cabin looks very good in the pictures but it was not very clean, damp, and very musty. The porch wouldā€™ve been lovely had it been semi clean prior to our arrival but we arrived with an old dead bird at the front door. All the furniture and porch covered about an inch deep in Pineneedles it took me quite a while to clean off. We have rented several cabins, several of them very rustic but all clean and ready for guests. Electricity was a little wonky there were no screens on the windows or sliding doors, there was no Working television. I could go on and on but I really donā€™t recommend you rent this month. Gave it to stars only because the location was beautiful the dock is nice and the water was very clear.The property was not anywhere close to what was advertised online we were extremely disappointing had a very hard time getting a response from Vacasa

Nice pond with dock

This is a typical Maine camp with pine needles and pitch. This camp has not been loved by its owners in quite some time. Itā€™s very musty, you will bring the smell home with you. The furniture in the house and on the deck is old/dirty. Vacasa rental agency was terrible to deal with. We had overflowing smelly trash barrels when we arrived. That was never resolved. We had to bring our trash home with us. I had questions for Vacasa about if we could drink the water. The kitchen sink had an old dirty, cracked Britta filter on it. Camps sometimes donā€™t have a well. Vacasa thought I should google it to see if the water was safe. What? They also told me to just go buy bottled water. I will never rent from a Vacasa managed property again. I wonā€™t stay at this particular camp again. I feel like my review is very fair and people should know what they are getting for a very expensive trip.

Great location & lake but house needs attention

Property is in a great location on the northern end of long pond. Crystal clear water, great swimming, plenty of fishing, and a new dock that is a major upgrade. While spending as much time outside is what we came for, the overall experience was lessened by several issues with the house. 1) Property was broom swept upon arrival, but still required ~30 minutes of additional cleaning, especially in the upstairs bedroom, to remove cobwebs/dust/etc. The gaps next to the oven had visible pieces of food that had fallen and not cleaned. More an issue with Vacasa (which is non-responsive btw) than the owner. 2) Speaking of the oven, we tried using it - once. It quickly filled the entire house with smoke as whatever a previous occupant had spilt inside it was burning off. 3) The grill also required ~20 minutes of cleaning and the burners are broken. It works, but took some finagling to get it to usable status. 4) The listing advertises internet - warning to all its a T Mobile hot spot, not a wi-fi router, which provides 1997-esque dial up speeds for one, maybe two devices. I would say this constitutes false advertising. If you are planning to have internet access while here, reset your expectations. 5) Electrical in the upstairs bedroom is comical. Don't think any outlets work 6) The new dock is great! The path and plankway to access it is not in great condition, in case there are toddlers or folks with limited mobility in your group Would look elsewhere before renting here again

Cabin in the woods

Great location beautiful view of the water. Dock was great. WiFi non-existent. Fuses kept tripping. Kitchen well stocked with everything you need. Would love to return with consistent wifi and electrical fixed.

Very disappointing stay on Long Pond

I was reluctant to write a review, so let me start by saying the new dock was a welcome surprise and the matresses were very comfortable. That being said, upon arrival, the deck, deck furniture and gas grill were dirty. Additionally, a wheel on the gas grill was broken and three of the four rubbish barrels had not been emptied. As we entered the cabin, we noticed the rugs were stained and the cabin had cobwebs. We spent the first day cleaning the cabin and deck in preparation of our son, daughter-in-law and one year old granddaughter visiting us. After cleaning the cabin, we went to use the the outdoor shower only to find it was not working. Additionally, the floor in the indoor bathroom near the tub was rotted and sagging. We invited our son and his family to join us, with the knowledge that the camp had wifi and they would be able to work remotely. The wifi was not functional and they had to work from an inn in the nearby town for four to six hours for four of the five days they were with us. During our stay, we contacted Vacasa Property Management six times, only to be told they were addressing the concerns with local management. As such, if a future rental is managed by Vacasa we will not rent the property, regardless of how much we are interested in it.

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

The cabin is roomy, yet cozy, with a gorgeous view of the lake. The beds are comfortable and the deck is a great place to sit and listen to the loons. We dined at a couple of nice restaurants near y, and enjoyed fires in the fire pit each night. The changing leaves really added to an already beautiful experience.

Perfect spot to relax

Great spot on the lake! Long Pond is a peaceful lake with very little motor boat traffic and great fishing! We caught fish off the dock, paddled around the lake in the canoe and kayak provided, and had a fantastic time. The house is exactly what I expected from a camp on a lake in Maine. It was rustic and had everything we needed to enjoy our vacation.

When we arrived the house was all in order and in looked even better then the pictures ! My family stopped in to join us and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and the warm clear pond. We caught plenty of fish while we where there as well. Looking forward to coming back during the ice fishing season !
