Decent stay

Stayed for a girls weekend with a larger group. Very friendly hosts and great communication. House has ample space but parts are pretty dated and could use a good deep clean.

Great Stay!

We used this house as a landing spot for a wedding weekend and it was a great fit. Clean, plenty of space and beds, and communication with hosts was easy! We would stay here again!

Property was exactly as advertised. Owners were kind enough to not only walk over to meet us, but also brought us a basket of cherries. Process was seamless and would highly recommend the property to anyone interested in a very enjoyable get together. Wonderful outdoor deck.

Amazing cottage to stay with family over the 4th

We had a great weekend with the family and of course our small doggies. They are a part of our family. The home is amazing and so clean and fun. Walking distance to the lake and nice areas. We also went to the downtown Delavan and Lake Geneva and had a blast. The owners of this home are so nice. I strongly recommend this as a great place for your family on any occasion.

4 couples staying for a Friday & Saturday night.

Very enjoyable stay. Used the kitchen for a late Saturday night playing games and the comfortable living room for a slow easy wake up Sunday morning.

Golf Getaway

Perfect location for our annual golf getaway weekend. Plenty of space for the eight of us to relax on the patio after grilling dinner. House was clean and stocked with everything we needed. Gary & Kathy were great hosts and responsive to all of our questions.

Family vacation

This house was just perfect for our family. Plenty of space. Large deck allowed for relaxaction and family time. Bunk beds great for 8 and 10 year old. 2 bed Rooms with queen size great for couples. Kitchen with large pantry a bonus...as well as washer and dryer. Quiet neighborhood. Everyone enjoyed their stay.

The perfect weekend getaway!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would in a heartbeat! Gary and Kathy's place was absolutely perfect, and exactly as described. The location is just in the right spot, so when we wanted to head into town and explore Lake Geneva we only had to travel a few minutes, and when we wanted a little peace and quiet time, we were able to relax at the property and spend quality time together. Any time we needed anything, Gary and Kathy were so quick to respond, provided us with everything we needed, and were genuinely caring hosts. Truly, truly, a 5-star experience!

Quite an adventure

A friend and I stayed for the weekend. Communication with the owner was easy and responsive. Friday night check in and access was easy. House is as presented with one bedroom and bathroom on the first floor and 3 more bedrooms and a bathroom on the second floor. We only went to shop and grab dinner then came back to the house. Gary and Kathy came over when we couldn't figure out a couple of things and we had a nice visit. Saturday we went into Lake Geneva to shop before out lunch at Pier 290. Very delicious, by the way. Nice atmosphere. In the evening went to the Belfry Music Theater - highly recommend - when a tornado - F1- came though as close as a mile away from the old church. Delavan had much damage to trees and a large part of the town was without power as were other parts of the area due to several tornadoes that came through. Back at the rental, Gary and Kathy were on site when we returned to check on any damage to the house. No power resulted in no internet, cell service, lights, air conditioning, running water... None of which was the fault of the owners. Short of having a generator, nothing could have been different and very few houses have that. And it wasn't expected. We slept poorly as the neighbors were up all night cutting down trees, and it was hot. We cut out trip short and left early on Sunday. We never want to be that close to a tornado again. Hopefully we will be able to visit again in a couple of years and give this a try again. Thanks G&K

NIGHTMARE ON DELAVAN STREET

THIS EXPERIENCE WAS SO BAD THAT AFTER A CALL WITH VRBO, EXPLAINING MY EXPERIENCE THEY CREDITED MY ACCOUNT. If you don't need use of the lake, this house was "fine". It is the rest of the experience that was a "nightmare". First of all, they are NOT on the lake (Delavan home across the street from the lake) is how their VRBO is titled and that's misleading. They are on the "inlet" which is totally different from the lake. Secondly, the owners completely lied about lake access for my 2 wave runners. They told me I could put them in the lake right by the house, NOT true. Third, they said they had a pier that I could tie up the wave runners to when i wasn't using them, NOT true. I specifically emailed the owners and asked if they had a boat launch and pier that I could tie up to. Their answer was "YES" to both. If I could include the pics you would see what I was talking about. Prior to our arrival, the owner was trying to install a temporary pier, which he was unable to do. What does that tell you? Their solution was that I put the wave runners at the marina. Last thing, after discussing all the issues with the owner prior to using the home, they agreed to refund 1/2 of my money (minus VRBO fees) upon my departure. Well guess what? they reneged and told me, "we never said that". "CAVEAT EMPTOR".

Renters From Hell We would like to address the inconsistent and false information provided about our house. We have a 5-star rating. The renters booked at the last minute. They had 3 different families and asked if we had access to the lake and we said across the street from the rental house is a Boat Launch, (yes). They asked if there was a peer they could use when they are done with their wave runners. We explained they could use our pier. (yes)They asked if we were on the Inlet we said (yes.) When the grandparents arrived at the rental; instantly before my husband could introduce himself grandma asked if the sheets were cleaned, where the hot tub. My husband introduced himself and explained the sheets are cleaned after every visit. We have a Jacuzzi Tub, not a hot tub. Next two men arrived and proceeded to our house on the lake. The pier is 8 years old; but added another section at the end, to extend it. The renters did not want to use our pier; because it wasn’t exactly where the launch was, so my husband suggested the marina. Our rental house has Kayaks and a canoe that renters have used on the lake for the last 2 years, have put in the lake at the boat launch across the street from the rental house. We have pictures of renters enjoying the lake. We have also had other families use our pier to tie up their boats and our canoe and Kayaks after launching from the boat launch. These renters 2 children came over to our lake house 3 times to fish from our pier. Not a tempo
