Waterfront family lake home w/ private dock+fire pit+kayaks and a stunning view!

Enjoy the best location on Lake Hamilton minutes from Oaklawn/Bathhouse Row/all Hot Springs has to offer. Take in the stunning lake view w/ Mt. Riante as the backdrop from the deck, private swim dock, or the comfort of the living room with its wall-to-wall windows. Multiple bedrooms & flexible sleeping arrangements (up to 10) on two levels, indoor & outdoor living spaces, fire pit, foosball table, and a fully-equipped kitchen...all within walking distance of a grocery store and movie theater! And if it's a holiday (July 4th, Labor Day, etc), you'll have the best view on the lake of the fireworks from either the swim dock, deck, or the sunroom! Fall and winter are also cozy, with a gas fireplace inside and the fire pit on the patio, with a beautiful view of the changing leaves. For those bringing a boat, there is a marina with public launch ramp literally right down the street!

The space:
The house is located almost exactly at the midpoint of the main channel of Lake Hamilton, which results in wonderful views of both the lake and Mount Rianti from throughout the house. On the main level, there are picture windows running nearly the entire length of the back of the house and wrapping around on one side. There are also interior windows separating the living room from the sunroom, allowing for a truly beautiful view of the lake from almost every room in the house, whether you are eating a meal at full-size dining room table, prepping a meal on the island in the kitchen, watching TV in the living room, or playing a game of foosball in the sunroom.

The kitchen, dining area, sun room and living are open format, allowing guests to easily move around, while the various bedrooms and variety of outdoor spaces, allow for privacy when desired.

There is both a paved patio area with both covered and uncovered sections, as well as a wooden deck. A variety of patio furniture, a gas grill, and small propane fire pit allow for a variety of gathering spaces and feels, in full shade, full sun, and everything in between. The short distance down the hill to the lake means that there’s almost always a breeze up on the deck and patio.

The property also features a private boardwalk and swim deck, great for sunbathing, taking a dip, or watching the sunrise or sunset. The back yard also has numerous comfortable spots for a lawn chair or a beach towel and several mature pine, oak, and hickory trees.

The house includes a variety of sleeping options. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and attached bathroom with tub and shower. The second bedroom on the main level is on the opposite end of the house and features a queen sized bed, a desk/work station, and a full-length mirror. There is an adjacent ¾ bathroom (shower). There are also three full-sized sofas on the ground floor, including one sleeper sofa.

The third and fourth bedroom are located down one flight of stairs, directly below the sunroom. The first lower level bedroom has a queen sized bed, a window with a lake view, a 43’ TV with Roku Streaming Device, a desk/workspace, and a full-length mirror. The room also has a door the opens to the outside with three wooden steps down to the backyard, just below the main deck, allowing for direct/private access to the lake. A short hallway connects the third bedroom to the fourth bedroom. A shared bathroom with shower with small window with lake view is accessed via the hallway. The fourth bedroom includes two Twin XL beds and a window with lake view.

All bedrooms have closets or wardrobes with hangers as well as folding luggage racks.

There is a 43” TV in the living room with Roku Streaming Device and a gas log fireplace.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils and equipment, place setting for twelve (12), as well as an electric range, oven, microwave, refrigerator, ice maker, coffee station (Chemex and drip machine), toaster, blender, and other items to prepare and serve meals.

A full-sized washer and dryer are located on the ground floor and are available for guest use anytime.

From the deck or back door of the house, it’s a short walk (~150 ft) down the grass path to the boardwalk and swim dock.

Guest access
There is a circular driveway with plenty of room to parking up to ten (10) vehicles, including a boat trailer. There is also additional free on-street parking on the opposite side of the street.

Other things to note
Hosts are lifelong residents of Hot Springs and happy to provide local recommendations upon request, including local hikes and nature excursions (Bill is an active member of the local chapter of the Master Naturalists and regular hike leader) The hosts or their property manager are not onsite, but available by cell or to come by if needed.
