This was such a great house, location, and stay. The home was clean and comfortable, and the location on the lake just couldn’t have been better.

What a perfect location! This home sits in a gorgeous spot, level to the lake. We especially loved sitting on the dock watching the sunsets, which were fabulous. The water is shallow closer to the house so you can walk right in and the end of the dock is deeper if you prefer to swim. We especially loved taking turns with the kayaks.The home is a short drive to town, and the town is quaint with fabulous food and a precious park overlooking the lake. We were there often. It is also a short drive to some very fun places like apple orchards and pumpkin patches.The home itself is beautiful and very clean with spectacular views of the lake. We enjoyed our week there very much.

Amazing lake front home!

We had an amazing time at this property. The house is beautiful and spacious and being on the lake was a really nice experience. Would love to stay here again!

Wonderful views of a beautiful lake from a eat-in kitchen and adjoining living room. Upstairs bedrooms and downstairs bedrooms provide privacy and comfort. Close to a delightful village with shopping and dining opportunities.

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Skaneateles. The house itself was absolutely stunning, beautifully designed, comfortable, spotless, and so relaxing. The lake views and peaceful setting made it such a special getaway. Dena was an amazing host from start to finish, incredibly helpful, communicative, thoughtful, and responsive. She made everything so easy and welcoming.The location was perfect too, close to town, restaurants, and everything Skaneateles has to offer while still feeling like a peaceful retreat. We truly loved every minute and cannot wait to come back!

Absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. Beachfront is great for kids. Nice long dock, great for fishing.

The home is gorgeous and was perfect for our family getaway. The lake location is beautiful, and we really enjoyed our time there.The host is attentive and particular about the care of the property, so future guests may want to be aware that the rental and checkout process is a bit more involved than some other vacation rentals. There are additional cleaning and laundering expectations, and the pre-rental process was more thorough than we’re accustomed to. We were also contacted after our stay with questions about a missing house decoration and some smudging on newly painted walls.We’ve stayed in many VRBOs over the years and have always had very positive experiences and feedback from our hosts. Overall, this is a beautiful home in a wonderful location; the rental experience was simply a little more detailed and handson than what we’ve typically encountered.

The house is gorgeous.. thank you. And i pride myself on taking great care of it. The check in or check out process is not at all involved. The only request is that I ask guest to wash used sheets and towels.. some are helpful and some are not. I have never made it an issue. It becomes difficult sometimes when there are rentals backs to back to get all the laundry done. This is the reason for the request. There is NO other cleaning requests. There is nothing special to the booking request either.. just simply book. The guest was simply asked where a missing decor item was because sometimes guests place things outside of view for whatever reason.. just wondering if she had.. she assumed I asked if she stole it and has left a nasty review because of it.. and yes the house was not in great condition after her stay.. food stains on walls and carpets and nicks in freshly painted walls. I check the house after each guest.. again to make sure the house is in mint condition for the next renter. Given the above I would not rent to the above guest and caution anyone to. Please refer to all the other amazing reviews both on here and Airbnb :)

Skan at Christmas 🎄

Lovely property so close to town! Four king sized beds a huge plus when traveling with adults. House is well appointed with a beautiful view- we had a bald eagle on the beach in front of the house! Highly recommend!!!

Lakefront Luxury

We had a great time at the lake house. It is a beautiful spot with an unrestricted view of beautiful Lake Skaneateles. The house is better in person that the pictures. The owners are very responsive. Everything about the property is lovely. Sitting on the deck and watching the sunset is a pleasure. I hope we can come back again to enjoy this piece of heaven.

Location great

The location of the listing is great, close to village and on the water. Overall a very nice house but unfortunately some small things made the stay not fantastic - beds and pillows too soft, less than adequate bedroom furniture (no nightstands in master, or drapes in 2nd bed), kitchen utensils missing for cooking, no hairdryer in house, beach area not as pictured or described - just a dirty muddy area at end of lawn, not suitable for a child to play in, temp control in house was a problem - either sauna like upstairs or fans blowing on you all night (just one zone)

Thank you very much for your thorough review. Being our first guest we were still working out the kinks. There is a separate air conditioning unit in the master bedroom to help control temperature. The large windows in the room can make cause that room to get particularly warm. The AC unit has now been serviced and working properly for guests to enjoy. Unfortunately the water level has been particularly low this year due to a very dry summer. It is our hope that every guest feels comfortable and welcome and wish you would have shared these thoughts during your stay.

Syracuse Graduation Getaway

We recently stayed here during graduation weekend for Syracuse University. Was a perfect landing spot and alternative vs the city’s hotel options. We slept 8 comfortably and enjoyed every moment we could in this stunning property. Only wish we had more time. The living space is inviting and wide open with stunning views of its beautiful surroundings. The beds were almost too comfortable to get up from, but then you were reminded of what was outside your door. Owner was great to deal with and accessible to answer and questions. All the amenities you could need for a vacation, and a charming town to go explore, eat, and do some retail therapy. Would highly suggest staying here.

Slice of paradise.

The property is the highlight of this vacation home. The flat yard with just a few steps down to be in the water made it easy to get into the kayaks provided and for our canoe which we brought. My three year old granddaughter could easily get into the water and we could wade out a long distance. Evenings were spent on the dock and each night we saw a beautiful sunset Also, the very long driveway provided a wonderful space for my granddaughter to ride her bike. We had wonderful weather the week we were there and therefore could really enjoy the beautiful property.

Nice place

Nice place and lots of room for the four of us. We each had a room with shared bathrooms up and downstairs. We were disappointed we couldn’t use the hot tub, although it was not advertised as having one. But it was sort of a “tease” knowing and seeing that it was right there. Jetted tub in master bedroom was not usable as it had a leak. Other than that, place is very nice and has beautiful view of lake.

Fantastic experience

This property is new to VRBO and as such didn't have any reviews. I'm always wary of that but decided to take a chance on this. It exceeded expectations in every way. Communication with the owner with quick and easy. The welcome gift was appreciated. The house was very clean and well supplied. We cooked a rather elaborate meal one night and had everything we needed. The location is perfect - right on the lake but only a few minutes from town, making shopping, restaurants, etc, quick and easy to get to. My entire family loved it and we look forward to staying here again sometime. Highly recommended.
