Supremely relaxing modern home in wooded setting with screened in outdoor porch as well as a firepit, patio and gas grill. Close to public town beach. Close to Butternut, Catamount, Jimney peak as well as excellent hiking and biking. Great Barrington, Tanglewood, Jacobs pillow, great restaurants and markets close by.

Cozy winter house with dogs allowed! We rented for proximity to winter sports and it was perfect, great location. Everything worked well, super clean and inviting, easy to figure out the space, cook dinner, curl up and enjoy a movie! Only regret not using the backyard - will come back in the summer!

Beautiful home. Extremely clean and well kept. Very well provisioned. Very comfortable beds and nice linens provided. Would highly recommend! A great place for families. Great location, too. Very woodsy surroundings but close to everything!

Gorgeous modern house in a wonderful location. Three senior couples stayed in the house and we all thought that the property was exceptionally nice. The house was immaculate and beautifully furnished. Everyone enjoyed Lake Garfield and visits to the Norman Rockwell Museum, Edith Wharton’s Home, the Hancock Shaker Village, and Mount Greylock. We highly recommend the property.

This house in the woods is bother modern and cozy. The kitchen is well stocked and the great room (dining room and living room) has great style and comfort. The house was spotless when we arrived.This beautiful modern house is located on a wooded drive. There are other similar modern houses to check out, so this house feels private while not being too secluded.Location is also great with Great Barrington, Stockbridge, Lee and Lenox all within easy driving distance for shopping or restaurants.
Beautiful New England location, especially in the autumn.
A house up the road to provide a glimpse of the neighborhood. The cosmos were still blooming in mid-to-late-October.

Fabulous Home adjacent to Lake Garfield

This is a immaculate, wonderful home situated in a quiet wooded setting with a fenced in backyard. It is fully and thoughtfully stocked with all the necessary amentities (kitchen, bathrooms, laundry). Walking distance (0.9 miles) to the local beach on the lake. We look forward to returning. Highly recommended !

Wonderful location and house

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house is immaculately clean and very well stocked. The location is excellent, close to many sights but in a quiet and private neighborhood.

Lovely respite!

This lovely home is privately situated with all the amenities you could ask for! The house is very clean and comfortable with high end touches. The screened in porch and large fenced in yard are perfect for added relaxation! Such a great home. Enjoyed our stay!

Upscale in the woods

Nothing was lacking in this beautiful home in a private wooded surrounding. The layout was great for all ages in comfort. The master en suite and powder room were great, leading into a spacious space housing living, dining and kitchen. The kitchen was roomy and well appointed with top scale appliances-everything you could need in pots , pans and down to the small items! The closed in porch let us feel the beautiful landscape indoors and the patio outside was perfect for dinner in the woods. The lake 1/2 mile down the road was a great asset and very well kept, with parking, a small sandy beach and lovely view. Howard was very responsive prior and during our visit and made the week very easy. The home is spotless, with sophisticated furnishings that were clean and easy to take care of. A perfect vacation- strongly recommend!

Beautiful contemporary home in the Berkshires

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this home in Monterey. The house is beautiful and well equipped, and the owner is extremely helpful and communicative. There had been a big snow storm right before our stay, and the owner went above and beyond to make sure the house was ready for us. Wonderful stay!!

What an amazing home. I'm hesitant to give this property as glowing a review as it deserves for fear of making it harder to book in the future. We will 100% be staying here again in the future. A beautiful home in a great town and near everything the Berkshires has to offer.

Phenomenal

Without a doubt, the best short-term rental we've ever stayed in. It's really as good as everyone says it is. Exactly as described. Immaculately clean. Tastefully decorated. Uncluttered & well-stocked cook's kitchen. Very comfortable bedding. Great communication from a very friendly and attentive host. Overall perfect experience for a long weekend of skiing with our two teens. Will definitely be returning.

Wonderful house, great location

We had Thanksgiving with family. Great kitchen. Enjoyed the wood stove and views of the woods. Nice big fenced yard for the dog. Our only complaint was that two of the beds had aero mattress which aren’t the most comfortable to sleep on. Overall we had a great stay and would go again.

Beautiful home!

Such a lovely home, in a great location, near many attractions! Our family of four adults and two small dogs had a wonderful vacation!! The home is spacious, beautifully decorated and has everything you need. We especially enjoyed the screened in porch for early morning coffee and evening dinners. I can’t say enough about this property except that it WON’T disappoint.

The house was truly lovely, photos are accurate. So peaceful and quiet we loved our morning coffee on the back porch. Howard was available if we needed him and the househad everything we could think of. It was a wonderful trip and I definitely recommend the house!

Howard’s place is amazing. It is newly renovated. Everything was clean and aesthetically pleasing. There was a lovely electric fireplace that was so cozy. Private location with easy access to great barrington. We will be back.

Wonderful stay

The house is absolutely wonderful and in a beautiful part of the world. Howard was a great host - extremely responsive and eager to help. We had a few minor issues (neither of which were Howard’s fault) and he was in constant communication and gave regular updates . We will be back!!!

Wonderful house!

We had a wonderful fall weekend exploring the area, hiking and relaxing in the house with family. The house was even prettier in person, very clean, well equipped, has a beautiful screened-in porch and all the furniture including the beds, are comfortable. Howard was helpful and responsive. We would definitely come back!

Peaceful treasure in the Berkshires

We had a wonderful 3 night stay! The house was immaculately clean and even nicer in person than the pictures. We visited Great Barrington, Lee, Lenox and Becket, which are all between 15-30 min away. The lake access is a short drive. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding on Lake Garfield. Howard was a great and attentive host. He was very responsive to questions we had about the house and area. We would definitely stay again. There’s so much to do! The house is surrounded by woods and was very quiet. We loved the screened porch and making a campfire at night. We also enjoyed walking our dog on the street which was very quiet and safe for walking. Will be back for sure!
