Relax to the beauty of nature in this charming 2-bed cabin tucked away in the woods! View historic landscapes of the Sherwood Point Lighthouse, a working lighthouse right across the front yard! Located just off of Green Bay and equipped with the necessary amenities. Close to all Door County activities & some of the best year-round fishing in the state – this home is perfect to unwind and getaway!

The Space:
Relax outdoors with views of nature and the lighthouse from the patio and backyard. Outdoor shed has all things needed to have a fun time of outdoor activities including bags (cornhole), ladder ball, fire pit, BBQ grill & more. (BYO firewood and charcoal but may be leftovers there).

The Bedrooms:
- Queen beds with nightstands, lamps, window AC units
- Closets for storage and small dresser
- Queen pull out sofa sleeper in living room
- Extra pillows, blankets and linens

Kitchen and Dining:
- All essential cookware and dinnerware
- Unique aluminum pattern ceiling
- Refrigerator, microwave, dual burner electric cooktop, griddle, toaster oven
- Keurig coffee machine with coffee pods, cream and sweetener
- Dining space to seat 6 comfortably

The Living Room:
- Large windows looking out to nature
- Sectional sofa
- 60" HD TV with Roku to enjoy all of your favorite streaming platforms

The Bathroom:
- Neat, clean and updated
- Shower over tub
- Convenient body wash, shampoo and conditioner dispenser
- Floating cabinet to find fresh and clean towels


Guest Access
Guests will have full access to the entire cabin, yard and all amenities provided. My topmost priority is to make your as pleasant and comfortable possible.

Other things to note:
Please make sure you follow all the house rules during your stay.

The lighthouse across is private property and occasionally rented out by US Coast Guards, please respect their privacy.

No direct water access from property.

There is a strict rule regarding the number of guests allowed - 6 guests

Everything was super wonderful during our stay at this quaint little place. We had no issues and everything was clean and tidy. The place was at the perfect location and was very private for us. Beds were comfortable and the place had a very cozy feeling. Seeing the lighthouse out the windows was a perfect viee! If my husband and I get back up that way, we will definitely book again here!!

Sherwood lighthouse cabin

Had a great stay at this little cabin in the woods. The property was clean and quiet with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. It had a nice outdoor space where we could have a campfire under the stars and the host was extremely helpful and easy to reach.

Peaceful Retreat

This house was exactly what we were looking for for a short getaway before baby 2 arrives. Our 2 year old slept better here than she has in weeks! Setting was remote yet close enough to town. Loved the view of the water and Lighthouse. Thank you!

Fun time at the cabin

This is a cute, cozy cabin nuzzled into the forest on the end of a quite road. Andy was so responsive and helpful during our stay. We had a great time in the big woods.

Gorgeous Property!

The check in process was flawless, the location was gorgeous, and it was so quiet. A perfect weekend getaway right next to the lake, and the lighthouse is gorgeous. Everything inside was clean and cozy. 10/10 recommend.

Great for a getaway

A friend and I (and my dog) stayed here for a writing retreat and it was perfect. Quiet so we could write all day, and just a 15 minute drive to restaurants for dinner. Perfect size with all the necessary amenities, including wifi. Recommended!

Very quiet, clean and if we had any questions the host was very easy to contact. Nice view of the lighthouse. If you want a place to stay that is more secluded and not much traffic this is the place. Easy enough to get to the city and attractions of you want

We had an amazing time at this great little cottage. It was in a private, secluded location & was a quick drive to Sturgeon Bay's downtown area. There were a lot of games and activities provided by the host, and everything was clean. We made good use of the fire pit and grill. Overall, this was a very cozy place to stay!

Nice Door County Weekend

Property was as described and the property manager communicated well throughout. The location next to the lighthouse is unique, and this was a good jumping off point for exploring door county throughout the weekend. We enjoyed using the fire pit each night.

Early April at the Cabin by the Bay

It was the perfect place for us. Quiet, relaxing, the perfect size for my husband my self and our doggie. It had everything we needed. And the location was superb. Andy was a fabulous host. Great communication and the cabin was clean and very comfortable. I definitely recommend Andy's cabin by the Bay.

Feel like a Local

Nice property in a unique location, walking distance to a local watering hole, close to the Idlewild golf course and the state park/boat ramps. Location is tough to beat, house is cute and has all the necessary amenities. Saw a fox and deer in the yard.

Very relaxing and peaceful

My husband and I enjoyed a quiet week here while we roamed Door County and relaxed with no time schedules from our daily lives. We loved the quiet and the ability to have our two small dogs with us as we escaped the heat from central Illinois. We would highly recommend the Sherwood Lighthouse Cabin.

Mini vacation

My boyfriend and I were looking for a small get away for the weekend with our dog. The property was small and warming. The cabin was cozy and welcoming with a nice view of the lighthouse and water next to it. It was close to the wineries and breweries and stores.

Quiet Getaway

The cottage is in a rural setting but close to many attractions. Enjoy long walks with a canopy of trees and wildlife. Beautiful sunsets available with water views. A lighthouse is just across the road. Sturgeon Bay has many unique shops and restaurants to enjoy. Day trips to Door County are doable.

Great getaway

We stayed for a long weekend in September. The cabin was clean, well-appointed, and a great location for activities. The beds were comfortable and most of the furnishings and decor were new. Tip: make sure you put the location in your GPS before heading up the peninsula, as the mobile reception in the area is 1 bar or less. 🤓
