'Deerfield Park Angler's Hideaway' is a beautiful Black Hills paradise that offers a peaceful setting with a feel of seclusion, surrounded by nature and wildlife. Listen for the turkeys gobbling, the bull elk bugling, and the coyotes howling. Watch as the Bald Eagle swoops down and pulls a fish out of the lake. You can't help but feel like a part of nature.. Located in the 'Heart of the Hills,' it's close to most of the main attractions. This is a rare opportunity to rent a condo on one of Black Hill's finest fishing lakes, literally 50 yards off our rear deck. 'Catch and Release' is greatly appreciated. We want to preserve this great fishing opportunity. Don't fish? Then step out back and let the panoramic view take your breath away. You will be amazed! This property is located just 11 miles from Hill City. You will travel on 9 miles of Highway and two miles of very well maintained gravel road. Enjoy hiking, biking, ATVing, Snowmobiling or skiing! They are all close by.

This was such a spectacular location for a little getaway within the area. We spent time exploring but also enjoyed recharging afterwards. Our boys loved the time they got to go fishing. The kitchen is small but we didn't dpend a lot of time in the kitchen anyway & the grill was a wonderful additional. Thank you for a beautiful spot to land during our family vacation!!

We enjoyed everything about this property. It was clean, beds were comfy, but the star of the show is the view from the deck. We enjoyed coffee in the morning while watching the deer come to the lake for a drink and spent every evening out side enjoying the lake, grilling, just relaxing.

SD Family vacation

Our entire family enjoyed every aspect of our stay. The location is beautiful. The house was very clean. There was plenty of space for a family of 4. My kids loved the fishing and paddle boat. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

worried when we found out this was actually a cul de sac with many other properties. But it was surprising quiet. We enjoyed the view and the little lake/pond. Had a great time.

Beautiful location

We enjoyed our stay. It is beautiful! We saw geese, turkey and deer. My son fished every day and caught one trout.Note: there is not a washer and dryer in the condo. The closest laundry facility is coin operated laundry in Hill City.

Quiet Paradise

The pictures absolutely do not do this place justice. After a day of exploring Custer State Park or Crazy Horse Memorial, we loved relaxing on the deck and taking in the beautiful views. Fishing was successful and peddle boating was fun!

Beautiful Black Hills Getaway

‘Deerfield Park Angle’s Hideaway” was the perfect setting for our Black Hills vacation. We enjoyed our coffee every morning on the back deck while listening to the wildlife and the wind in the pines, and simply taking in the breathtaking views! We spent the majority of our week in and around Custer State Park which was just a 30-minute drive away. The condo was immaculate, the kitchen was well-equipped and the beds were comfortable. Diane and Monte did a great job communicating with us from the moment we made our reservation. We would love to return – this time in the fall!

Beautiful place to stay

Our Family of 7 stayed here for our visit to South Dakota. Great location not to far from town (or anything else for that matter) and BEAUTIFUL scenery. I could have stayed on the deck all day! We saw lots of deer, geese, hawks, osprey, turkeys and other birds. The house is beautiful we never felt cramped and all the beds were comfy. We would stay here again on our next trip out hands down.

Perfect Anniversary Spot

Perfect place to unplug and unwind! Super quiet and beautiful scenery! Listing is just as owner says it is. There’s no surprises. My husband and I absolutely loved our alone time! We have talked about sharing this perfect condo with our family this summer😊

Breathtaking views

Our family of six stayed in early September. The biggest draw to this rental are the views! Looking out at the lake and hills each morning was so breathtaking. Our kids also loved fishing in the pond and they all caught quite a few! The size is tight for a family of six, but we got by just fine; just don't expect the full size amenities you may get at a regular condo. We liked eating meals on the deck overlooking the pond and even grilled one night. It would have been nice if there was a door to the upstairs where the kids slept. The fan in the bathroom did not work and either did the exhaust fan for the stove. Other than that, we did not experience any big surprises. I would definitely recommend this rental.

Could not get over the view!

As the other reviews warned, this place is 15-20 minutes out of town. But it’s so worth it. The scenery is amazing. It is so peaceful and quiet. My boys went fishing at the lake and had some luck. We enjoyed riding our side by side around and through the trails. The condo was well stocked. It was a bit small, outdated, and only one bathroom, but that’s just our own issue. The place itself was wonderful- it was clean. One con was that no bonfires are allowed. The beds were comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
