Escape to the southernmost point of Kauai at Makahuena 5101, an oceanfront condo perched on a bluff with breathtaking coastal views. This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom ground-floor condo offers a full kitchen, spacious lanai, and split A/C throughout for your comfort.

The primary bedroom features a king-sized bed and ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has two twin beds, which can be converted to a king bed upon request, with a full guest bathroom. Please note: A layered pathway with stairs leads from the parking lot to the condo entrance.

Relax on your private lanai, enjoy the resort's tennis courts, pool, hot tub, and BBQ area, or take a short walk to nearby beaches, restaurants, and the Grand Hyatt.

This place was amazing! Probably one of the best views on the island. Right on the water. We could hear the waves crashing all day and night. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. The place had everything that we needed for our 4 night stay. We would definitely consider staying here again if we ever return to the island.

All about the location

Having the ocean waves crashing feet away makes it an unforgettable vacation spot. We already miss walking to Poipou to see the turtles.

An incredible view

The view from the lanai can't be beat. We saw tons of wildlife while sitting having coffee in the morning.The space was great, plenty of room for everyone. The beds were very comfortable!

Makahuena building 5 has a great location. You are overlooking beautiful Southwest sky/ocean with really beautiful sunsets. Waves crash on rocks which also has a spouting hole. We really had a very enjoyable and unforgettable stay. The property is well stocked, matches description and the hosts communicate well. We would stay again. The property is well-maintained, but there is some room for improvement. The parking is a bit further from parking, which is something one might want ti consider if traveling with checked in bags.

Aloha,Well maintained and great management. The best part though, was the lanai. We saw rainbows, sunsets, whales, spinner dolphins, turtles, and birds. If it wasn't such a beautiful island, you would want to just stay at the condo.

Gorgeous

Stunning! Listening to the waves all day and night was what I was hoping for. Could not have been closer to the ocean than this condo. Location was perfect. Condo was spotless. Beach equipment was a definite plus! Very private and liked being on the ground floor which had a gate to look over the railings for turtles poking their heads out of the water! Would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

My family stayed here, it was such a cute unit. The lanai was so beautiful to sit outside on. We saw soooo many turtles at all times of the day! The kids loved it. The waves were gorgeous. The unit was clean upon arrival and very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Ocean Front Location

Really enjoyed our stay. Everything was as advertised. Extras are a real plus. Used the Beach chairs and umbrella daily. Great location. Loved old town Koloa.

Spectacular Seaside Condo

Host gracious & communicates well. Condo clean & comfortable with plenty of paper products for our stay. The view of the ocean off the balcony was spectacular. Wouldnt miss those sunsets! We would definitely stay there again.

Great view!

Best unit in the complex for viewing sunset. Comfortable and good a/c. A/C unit in the living room is loud and annoying at times, but there overall a great stay. Plenty of beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, boogie boards, and even some snorkeling equipment for fantastic beach days.

Summer Family Vacay

The location of this property is excellent. We loved watching the sea turtles every day and the crashing waves against the rocks is calming. Great sunset views for the southern side of the island. The property had all the amenities we needed for the week. We had a great time exploring the entire island and this property was well located to get to all sides equally. We would defintley stay here again for our next visit.

We loved it

I think this must be the southernmost condo unit on Kauai and right on the ocean. The kitchen was particularly well-stocked for cooking gear which was important to us.

Highly recommend

We had a great time at Makahuena 5101. It’s an ocean front unit on the first floor. We enjoyed the spectacular views and the ocean breeze. We’ll be back soon!

Comfortable, quiet, prime location, felt like home.

The location of this property is on point. The whale watching, the waves crashing on the rocks, the comfort and ease this place has made it feel like a home away from home. There are some beautiful resorts near by, but honestly I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else when we come back. The only thing I would change is the name of the owner of the property to my own. Our stay here was perfect.

Great Ocean Views

We had a wonderful time at this property! The condo is an end unit with beautiful views right on the ocean. Jeremy and Kristen were wonderful hosts who were very attentive. The condo was a pretty long walk from the parking lot with several sets of steps.

Nice location

Comfortable dwelling for four adults. The AC in the living areas was very much appreciated. Access to the dwelling was though a single flight of stairs and a long ramp, or using multiple sets of stairs. The view from the lanai, which is adjacent to the rocky coastline, was great, with lots of wave action. Pool was located very close to entry stairs. Mattresses on beds were good. Furniture was showing its age, but was adequate for the five night stay. No other particular deficits were notable.

Amazing!

Loved every second! Was. A spectacular incredible condo, could not have asked for Better entertainment from the ocean crashing on the rocks. Sunsets & sunrises …SPECTACULAR! We will be back, God willing.
