The coastal theme throughout invites you to your beachside locale, the elevator from ground floor to loft floor makes getting groceries and belongings up and down a breeze, the modern great room with Atlantic Ocean to Intracoastal Waterway marsh views is sure to delight, not to mention the 3 levels of deck and balcony areas to take in the Ocean View location, and easy access within walking distance and even shorter driving distance to 2 nearby public beach accesses!

Way to short

We absolutely love this place. After years of have to lug coolers and luggage it was so nice to have an elevator. Seating was perfect for our large family whether hanging out or eating. The balconies were super nice to enjoy the weather or have coffee in the morning. Great place, great views and easy short walk to the beach!

Family friendly

Wonderful property and very attentive owners who answered our questions in a very timely manner. We took our young grandchildren and had a terrific time. Very well equipped house. We will be back.

Comfort

The house is exactly as pictured online. It is clean and beautifully decorated. All of the furniture, indoor and outdoor, is very comfortable including the beds. The shower has great water pressure. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook at home and then some. There are views of the ocean and a little of the Intercoastal. I liked watching the sunset over the bridge. You can hear the waves from the decks. It was a very short walk to the beach. It also wasn’t a far walk to the shops and restaurants. We only drove for our big grocery runs. I would definitely stay here again.

A/C problems 4 days

Unfortunately, we had to contact the owner on our first full day at the property regarding the air conditioning and the oven. The oven was left in disrepair the entire time that we rented the house. We did contact the owner and gave them the error code on the oven, but we were told that the last renters had no problem with it. We accommodated the situation and changed all of our meals for the vacation. We had three families staying in the house a total of 12 people. The third floor we were unable to keep the air temperature below 89. The main floor we were unable to keep the temperature below 84. The owner did respond to my text about the air conditioning problem, but seemed to be convinced that it was because we were leaving the balcony doors open. Not only did we not leave the balcony doors open we also closed all the blinds in the house so that the house would stay cooler. After going back-and-forth with the owner, she did agree to send a repair man out to check the unit. The repair man found a wire that was burnt that was causing the unit to malfunction and not cool properly. we notified the owner of the problem. The owner felt that the burnt wire was our fault. This was a very uncomfortable situation for us as renters. After our vacay, VRBO notified us that a claim was made against our rental insurance for the repair! This was clearly the owners responsibility. A moderate discount for the lack of proper air was given, but we had 4 miserably hot days and evenings.

Problem with Owner/Manager

The photos give a good impression of the property. Upon arrival, it was clear that someone had eaten at the table after the rental was cleaned. Crumbs on table and floor, sticky tabletop, rotting banana. Nothing major, but it made a poor impression. Afterwards, we received a bill from the owner/manager for damage to a coffee table on the porch. We had not used or damaged the coffee table in any way. We were fully consumed with preparations for our son’s wedding that weekend. We certainly were not picnicking on the porch. I can only speculate that the owner depends upon the cleaning crew to report damages. I do know the owner came to the facility the weekend after our stay. Again, speculating, she noticed damage and inquired about it to the cleaning crew. They probably responded that they had not noticed it before. So, we were billed. I objected because we had not used the coffee table. After multiple back and forth communications, to her credit, the owner/manager finally agreed that we would not be billed. However, the owner/manager still feels that we did the damage. For our part, we were honest and up front, and we did not damage the property in any way. It appears that there is no formal checklist completed by the cleaning crew documenting findings after each and every rental. Since we were the last renters, it was just assumed that any damage or wear must have been our fault. The owner’s follow up after our rental left a sour taste in our mouth.
