This is the cozy newer beach house I built for my family.. Incredibly comfortable, not huge but a luxurious nonsmoking retreat. An easy,REAL three or four minute walk to the sea..only three houses separate us from the sand. Oceanside is the perfect, laid back village to enjoy all the amenities.. including world class crabbing ,fishing, clamming, kite flying, whale watching, parasailing, beach combing for agates or just lounging with a glass of wine and taking in the great views.

We see eagles, sea lions and hang gliders frequently. Rent our home and you'll be back. Come and enjoy charming Oceanside..less than 90 minutes from Portland

Perfect spot to enjoy Oceanside

Amazing views and cozy living space make this place one of the best spots in Oceanside. The deck is a great spot to enjoy the sunset! Kitchen was well stocked to cook nice meals!

Quiet with Great Views

We really enjoyed our visit. Exploring the beaches and rocks was so much fun. Close to everything we wanted for our stay. Just a note: cell phone reception is spotty at best. Other than that, we really enjoyed our visit.

Restful stay after the holidays

It was so relaxing and beautiful. I loved cooking in the kitchen and looking out at the ocean. It was a short walk to the beach. We had to contact Dennis and he was wonderful to work with and got everything straighten out quickly. We plan on coming back to stay here!!!!

Oceanside: did not disappoint!

Oceanside is the place to go when you need to relax and disconnect. The solitude restores the soul. The house has a wonderful ocean view and I was really thankful it was such a short walk to the beach.

From Philly With Love

We came from Philly to spend a few days with my sons's Oregon family. .What a great place to spend a few days on the beach. The view from the balcony was great, the ocean sounds at night lulled us to sleep, everything needed was in the house, and the owner quickly responded to any questions.

A most excellent adventure!

Our few night stay was excellent from the start. When you walk in the front door and see the beach out the windows it's a great start. Everything was clean and in good shape with plenty of kitchen bits to get any and all meals taken care of so you can eat while you watch the waves. Read what Dennis, the owner, wrote about what makes the property unique. It's a great location in a quiet village, with all 3 cafes an easy walk there and back. Oh, and the beach is right there by the cafes. Nice.

Beautiful and comfortable beach accomodations

From the get-go, this was a great rental experience. The owner communicated with me very quickly, which is not always the case. The beach house was a great place to stay. The layout is great, the bedrooms (and beds) are comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped, and, as advertised, the views can't be beat! It is a very easy walk to the beach. We breakfasted at the Blue Agate cafe right down the street and one night, we went to Roseanna's (one of my favorite places to eat). I just wish we had had more time to stay there!

Lovely Stay

Everything was as described and pictured. House looked and smelled clean. Well stocked kitchen and linen closets. Short walk down to beautiful Oceanside - where you can walk all the way to Netarts in the sand. There is limited parking throughout this area, so our 3rd & largest vehicle was parked along the road below. Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. We look forward to staying again.

Amazing view and peaceful

Great stay with our dog and easy walk to beach. Up on hill so not for those who can’t walk up hill - either way, can take the loop and park right near the beach down below if needed. We wish we had brought more “dog towels” to dry off, but made ours work. Hose outside is handy to wash off beach sand. The house has lots of windows, and shades where needed. We communicated with the owner about the queen bed being pretty soft, our only issue while staying there. Overall great stay during stormy conditions.

Great time.

Spent the first week of August at the "HOUSE" it was awesome. Great location with perfect views and access to the beach. Really enjoyed the low tides and looking at sea critters. The wife and I had two of our daughters with their husbands and one grandaughter plus two dogs with us. The two dogs pressed the limit on space but they were great and created no problems. This is a nice place. Thanks Dennis.

Even better than we had hoped!

This house was amazing! It was brand new and very clean. Our family of four had more than enough room to spread out. It was great to send the kids downstairs into their own space. The views were amazing. We loved sitting on the deck and watching the ocean. It only took a minute or so to walk to the beach. We loved that Oceanside was small and quaint and off the beaten path. Our stay was so relaxing! We can't wait to return. This house is even better than the photos depict. We had absolutely no problems with this house and we would absolutely recommend it to others.

A PERFECT OREGON RETREAT ANYTIME!

We had a friends weekend 20 years in the making and we could not have found a more perfect place! The design of the house provides for great togetherness (cooking is fun because the chef is right in the mix of everything) and yet very private bedrooms (not that much sleep happened). We LOVED the house and all of the surprise design features. It is a gem. The location is spectacular--an easy walk to the beach and a stunning view. Part of what made the trip so great was the fondness that grew with Dennis, the designer and owner of this home. He is so easy to work with and is the perfect reason to not deal with big inpersonal hotels. Oh yes, our one canine companion had a fabulous weekend too, Thank you, Dennis for sharing your home and for the extra football game!

Amazing View

We had an amazing time at this VRBO. Three adult couples slept very comfortably with the queen beds and privacy allowed by the layout was stellar. We would certainly stay here again. A few things for feedback. The parking is probably best for just one truck or two small cars. We had to park in overflow at the park as we had three couples coming from different directions. The TV in the living room was unable to get any signal. Normally we don’t watch a lot of TV when on vacation, but the World Series games were on and we went to the lower room to watch, which was inconvenient but still doable. Extra trash bags would have been helpful, we ended up going to the store to purchase bags to take the trash out. On a side note, for a small space it is well appointed for what we wanted to do. It was a bonus having some spices available to use. It was a nice surprise. Overall we are already looking to book here again and appreciate the kind neighbors! There is no Cell service so b sure you get The door code and directions before you arrive, the neighbors were able to help our friends that arrived while we were out. Such a great community feel and kind people.

Dissappointed

Great location and great house. However, when we arrived it had not been cleaned from the last guest (unmade beds, dirty towels, kitchen, etc). We notified the owner and were apologized to, misunderstanding with the maid. We are VRBO owners also and totally understand that sometimes things happen. We left the home to enjoy the ocean and have dinner while the maid came to clean up. This is where the DISAPPOINTED came in. They came and made the beds and put out clean towlels and emptied the trash. They told us they didn't have any cleaning supplies so this is all they could do. Kitchen, floors, bathrooms had not been cleaned. We would have been totally fine if owners would have made sure the cleaning got done but they didn't - it was oh well, sorry. Too bad, otherwise it would have been a good review. Plenty of other great homes in the area to enjoy for our next trip.

Great Views!

Great property with excellent views. Property was extremely clean and well kept. Only slight complaint was the city road going to the house, there were a lot of large pot holes that would be difficult if you had a low car. Other than that this is an excellent property.

Loved our stay at this rental

We loved our stay at this darling beach house. Incredible views of the beach from the house and balcony, short walk to the beach, and enjoyed the sounds of the waves at night. We will definitely rent this house again.

We have been visiting the Oceanside area for 25 years. Our children have spent part of every summer in Oceanside..and I'm sure their children will too..the area is quiet, tranquil, and laidback..If you are looking for Seaside or Lincoln City, in other words, arcades, art galleries, traffic, hustle and bustle..Oceanside isn't that. It's heaven...

The close proximity to Portland and the views..It's laid back atmosphere. Oceanside is 'off the beaten path'..There has been no commercial property to develop here in 50 years, so the village hasn't and won't change much in the future...yea!!!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Some Oceanside rentals claim an easy walk to the beach..Maybe for a goat..Oceanside is built into the side of a very steep hill (Maxwell Mtn.) ..hence the great views.. a lot of the homes are an easy (downhill) walk to the beach..the walk back is not. My lot is lower on the hill and a very easy walk to the beach or a newspaper at the coffee shop. I bought this lot years ago for its location..location..location
