Perfect for a family getaway, this 3-bedroom, 2-bath beach house offers ample space for everyone to relax. While there aren’t any river views from the unit, you’re part of a cozy triplex with great decks, perfect for sipping your morning coffee or catching up with friends.

You'll be within walking distance to Capitola's unique shops, art galleries, restaurants, and, of course, the beautiful beach. Just across the path, enjoy shared access to the riverside BBQ and picnic area for some fun outdoor dining.

With Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz, scenic hiking trails, beautiful beaches, and local wineries all within a short drive, this centrally located gem is the ideal base for exploring the best of the region.

Parking is easy with space for one small vehicle in the carport below the home. If you’re traveling with extra cars, we recommend parking in one of the two large lots just a minute’s walk away, where you can park overnight for free or for a small daily fee.

*Laundry is communal. Management will always do their best to make sure machines are functioning; however, they are not guaranteed.

Great location

Ideal location on the river and a minute from the village. Great patio on river but old charcoal bbqs and beat up dirty picnic table. Place was clean enough but rundown beds, furniture, kitchen etc. price doubled with all the service charges so I expected higher quality.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental was comfortable and the perfect location for being able to walk to all the stores, restaurants and bars. It could use some updating in the kitchen and bathrooms. The carpet should be replaced, but these issues wouldn't deter me from returning. The property manager was very responsive and helped make our stay very comfortable.

The outside space next to the river is lovely. This is our go to every time we stay in Capitola. The management company has great customer service. They are so helpful and answer questions and emails quickly!!

Cleanness

The unit is in a good location and the river front sitting area was a nice addition; however, the unit could use a thorough cleaning. There were spider webs, no screens on the windows and the common areas were dirty.

Great location...Very scant kitchen

Location location location. You can't beat this for Capitola....but we were very disappointed with the cleanliness and lack of kitchen stuff. The garbage cans were over flowing into the walkway at the base of the stairs, the couches and walls need desperate cleaning. The only condiments are salt, pepper, and 4 coffee filters. There were 5 or 6 coffee cups, plates, and a single ice tray....just fyi.

Leaking roof and slider

The house was clean however there was a leak in the room the baby was in and a leak in the top of the sliding glass door by the kitchen. The beds were very small and not entirely comfortable. Overall, not a horrible experience but could have been better for the price.

Don't expect it to look like the pictures in VRBO

This property has a great location just a few doors down from Capitola Village and has a nice outdoor area on Soquel Creek that it shares with two other units. The interior badly needs a redo. The carpets and the two sofas appeared dirty and stained and need replacement immediately. The carpet looked so funky no one wanted to remove their shoes. The VRBO photos of the interior as far as cleanliness and general condition are way out of date and what we found there was a major disappointment. We owned a vacation rental in Kauai and currently own a long term rental duplex in Capitola so we know what a well maintained rental property should be and should look like. This unit is not it. Additionally prospective renters should know that the unit itself is NOT on Soquel Creek and does not have a view of it. The condo is oriented to the street and not the creek itself. Why not put some of the rental income back into the property so your guests don't go away feeling disappointed and unhappy??

Convenient but dated

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Such a convenient location! The place was a nice size for our family of 4, and could have fit a few more people comfortably. There are definitely things that would make it a lot better though. Master bedroom upstairs is very bright, and gets hot. Needs blackout shades, a ceiling fan, and a new bed, preferably a king! I found it very strange that there was a mini fridge up there but no dresser, so left my non-hanging clothes mostly on the floor. Furniture is dated throughout the place. The street name "riverview" is not a good description for this back lot location. We did sit by the river in the shared garden spot, which was nice. Parking spot is very small, but we managed to squeeze in our mid size SUV with an inch on each side to spare. Kitchen had a great new set of pots and pans, but other dishware was very mismatched. I think saw 20 spoons and 3 forks. Shared laundry room was great, and did not need quarters or anything. Overall, not my first choice for a place to stay, but I'd stay here again if needed, it does the job. Give this place a glam up, Bailey!

Nice time

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. Half a block to the village, and also a short walk to the city parking lot, which is important if you have more than 1 vehicle in your party. $6 a day, free overnight. FYI, Riverview is a very skinny street; almost like an alleyway. In general, the unit is in decent shape; like other posters mentioned, it could definitely use a facelift. However, it was clean and comfortable, and suited our needs. Quite a few stairs, so be prepared with your luggage, golf clubs, etc. No water view from the unit (although the deck off the master is nice); outdoor BBQ and firepit space by the water is a nice perk, although you share with two other tenants. All in all, I would book again.

Vacation in Capitola

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was wonderful as we were literally two minutes walk from Capitola Village and all that it offers. The patio area on Soquel Creek was also a plus (for Units A and B) as it allowed us to grill when we chose to and to just sit by the creek and chill. We did submit a list of suggestions to Bailey Rental Properties management and one of those was to put a self-standing water purifier in the refrigerator. Depending on the length of stay, (we were there for 10 days) they could provide more paper goods. The unit would also benefit from a "deep" cleaning where cobwebs are removed, carpets are steam cleaned, and so on. There could have been more small amenities like a wider array of spices, some instant oatmeal packages...things we have enjoyed at other rentals. In short, the cupboards were bare so you should go prepared to purchase every little thing you might need especially if it is for an extended stay. However, Lisa and Lynette (the Bailey Property managers) were very responsive to any concerns we raised during our stay such as a lock falling off a slider door (the door still locked) or the electricity going out in the laundry room. The parking for Unit A is very narrow between a post and the wall so make sure you have a car that will fit in the tiny space. Those who visited us feared they would tear off their side mirrors when pulling in or out of the space. If Baily Properties implement some of the changes we communicated in an earlier email, we would have no hesitation in renting this unit again and consider it a fair price. For eating, I would recommend the Left Coast Sausage Works for a delicious quick pick up meal, Mijos for street tacos, the Daily Grind for excellent coffee, and the Sand Bar for great nachos. Lovely walks all over Capitola...the beach, the neighborhood on the cliffs, anywhere. Overall, a pleasant stay.

Small cars only, no trucks or full size SUVs would work. Had two cars so walking about a mile was necessary to park the second one. If it were just a one small car group would have been a much more enjoyable stay.

outdated but excellent location

Kitchen electricity was out on entry, rapidly fixed though. Parking is poor, only one space for a very small car (Odyssey does not fit). Dim lighting.
