Lovely setting and cabin. Check-in was made a bit more complicated due to poor cell service. But once contact was made with host all was very pleasant. Had a great time! All amenities and accomodations were wonderful and very much appreciated.

Comfortable, clean and quiet home and property. Our group of five lifelong friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect accommodations for relaxing and catching up with our lives. We hope to stay here again in this beautiful area. Plenty to see and do! The host was quick to answer questions and provide the needed information. As to the driveway, there is plenty of room for 3 vehicles right in front of the main door to the house.

Christmas Getaway

This was just what we needed, a warm and cozy place in the country, surrounded by trees. We had everything we needed in this well equipped home. There were lots of windows and lots of space, even a separate lounge area, perfect for extended families. The beds were comfortable with lots of extra pillows and blankets if needed. We enjoyed the fireplace, which was easy to turn on and appreciated the Christmas tree and other holiday decorations around the home. It was close enough to town to pick up groceries, etc but still secluded. We had no issues with the driveway as another reviewer noted and we had rainy weather the entire time we were there. Amy was very helpful responding to questions quickly and with check in and check out instructions. The house was lovely and recently updated (there was even a book of photos showing the process, which I enjoyed looking at). I can't say enough about the trees all around. I'd love to stay in nicer weather and spend lots of time on the wraparound deck.

Peaceful

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home, which was not only clean but also incredibly spacious, providing us with plenty of room to relax and unwind. The thoughtful details throughout the house made it feel welcoming and comfortable, and it was fully equipped with everything we could possibly need during our visit. The surroundings were absolutely picturesque, with beautiful scenery that enhanced our overall experience. We truly enjoyed exploring the area and appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into creating such a delightful retreat. Without a doubt, we will be returning in the future, as it was a truly memorable experience. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us!

Nice house but location was difficult

The house itself was great and the beds were super comfortable to sleep in. The Wifi is the only way to get cell phone service and it kept going out where we had to reboot the router at least 4-5 times during our stay. The house is located on a huge hill top so the driveway was horrible to get up if you don't have a 4x4 vehicle. During our stay it rained over night hard and the drive way was washed out as it's gravel so getting out was difficult and took a lot of time and scraping on the bottom of my car. Overall the house was pleasant but the location and the outside of the house are something to consider if you're not use to that kind of environment.

Madison area trip

The property was nice. There was plenty of space. The driveway was a nightmare, however. We had a hook up on the back of our vehicle & it hit when we drove in; had to reload by the end of the drive. Kitchen could be better stocked; no good cutting knives & no scissors.

Spring Green Getaway

Very nice property. It was clean (big priority for me), updated and roomy. The air conditioning/heating worked very well, as did the internet. Cell service was a little spotty, but that is the way it is in this part of rural WI. Great place for several couples to enjoy time together. Hanging out on the patio was very quiet and serene and we enjoyed the mooing cows in the distance.

A great trip!

Very nice, clean , love the beds so comfortable. loved the location secluded, makes you feel like your in the middle of the forest.Great spot inbetween the Dells and House on the rock. Will definitely go back.

Highly Recommend

Clean, comfortable, private location, close to attractions. Large enough that everyone can have their own space. Well equipped with kitchen and sleeping and bathroom supplies, as well wood for the campfire and ganes to play. Beautiful wrap- around porch. We loved it!

Girl's Weekend Get-Away

We spent our annual girl's weekend get-away and had a wonderful time. The house was clean and just as advertised...very comfortable and plenty of room. The property was beautiful with all the trees. The phone service was spotty but we didn't find it a problem. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Recreational weekend

Great property for our purposes. Was nice to enjoy morning coffee on the deck. Only suggestion, our friends mentioned a fan (either floor or ceiling) to circulate the air in the basement bedroom would have been helpful at night.

Spring Green fun

This property did not disappoint. Every morning we met on the 2nd floor wrap around porch for coffee with binoculars and were dazzled by bird calls from warblers and vireo. During the days, we took short drives to Gov. Dodge, House, Tallesin, and the Wisconsin River towns. Every evening we gathered on the lower porch for a fire ring with drinks and dinner. Enough room on both levels for different activities including streaming entertainment and meditation. Groceries close by and some restaurants and 1 great supper club with muddled old fashions. It doesn't get better.

Midwinter get away

Clean and comfortable and close to outdoor activities. Some spots are closed in winter but Governor Dodge State park had great hiking. Local food is good too!

Awesome house - highly recommended

This is a fairly large older home on a wooded lot that has been thoughtfully renovated so that it is both modern and charming. It has two living areas, which would make it perfect for a larger group. It also has a large wraparound deck. I would give it 5 stars for the superior quality of the mattresses and bedding alone! The main floor living area furniture is nice and comfortable and the large dining table is a work of art. There is also a gas fireplace with a quiet blower. It has a very nice kitchen, but I didn’t cook there. The home was spotless. The owner was very responsive. I’ll definitely stay here again.

Has all you need for a quiet and relaxing stay.

We were three couples and enjoyed our stay at the property for a few days during November. Everything was in working order and comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped. The location was terrific as well, far away enough to take in the quiet environment but central to many of the local attractions nearby.

Weekend stay

The place was so clean and had plenty of room for the 6 of us. We enjoyed our time there very much! About a 15 minute drive to Dodgeville, but it was an easy drive. Would definitely stay there again if we were going to be in the area.
