Cozy lake house with private beach

This is a waterfront cottage on Songo Pond near Bethel. Four bedrooms and two baths. Kitchen has been updated and is fully equipped. Three season porch adds seating and you can even sleep there on the day bed or just take a nap. This cottage is a great spot to spend your summer days in Maine. Right on the pond so you can spend your day lounging in the water. The lawn makes a great spot for everyone to gather for a cookout. On the main floor there is the washer and dryer one full bath, kitchen, dining, living area and one bedroom. Also the three season porch. On the second level there is bedroom two which has a king size bed and a sitting area. Bedroom three has a set of bunks, Bedroom four has two single beds and a full size bed. Also on the second level there is a full bath with a jet tub. There is watercraft at the house. There is a canoe, 2 small kayaks and a row boat that will take a small motor. The damage waiver fee of $150.00 is a non-refundable payment- which covers accidental damage up to the amount of $1500.00. This fee is processed in the overall costs of the rental at the time of booking.
~Cancellation Policy:
If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival: You’ll receive a refund of your deposit, minus a $50 processing fee.
If you cancel within 30 days of arrival: You’ll be refunded for any portion of your stay that is rebooked by another guest.

Great lake get away

We really enjoyed our stay. Home is at an amazing location, right on Songo Pond. Boats and life jackets were wonderful. Property was clean and worked for our group perfectly. Check in was easy.

Perfect spot and house

The house is lovely and comfortable, very nice kitchen, great room and sun porch. The lake was wonderful with warm water for swimming, good fishing and easy access to kayak/paddle with the small beach entry and dock.

Fun Girls getaway

Our group Of eight women stayed for a week. Check-in process was easy and the house was exactly as described. The house offered everything you could need and then some. We rent houses every year and this is one of the most perfect homes we've ever stayed in. Do keep in mind it is a pond so the shoreline around the dock has lots of weeds but if you get past that into the middle it's clean and clear. Highly recommend..

Totally enjoyed this comfortable and lovely home on the pond. The porch and view made for very wonderful lounging. Day trips were easy from this destination. Everything that I needed during my stay was right there for it to be a home away from home for me.

Great Family Getaway Spot

Spacious, clean modern cottage with all the amenities for a week long stay. Kitchen is well equipped. Situated on a quiet dirt road with pond frontage. The pond is great for kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. Not great for swimming, although we did it anyway. Shallow entry point with invasive grass and lily pads.

We had an overall nice stay with our 3 kids & 4 adults. The house was well appointed and we appreciated the access to canoe and kid kayaks, plenty of pots/pans/utensils for cooking for a group, and generally comfortable home. There was some deferred maintenance—bunk bed top railing was nearly disconnected and we had to track down tools to fix it so it was safe for our five-year old. The cleaning before our arrival was also a little underwhelming—we found dirty underwear in the master bedroom tucked partially under the bed and a bowl of stale crackers left on the floor in the kids room. But overall we enjoyed ourselves and had a nice stay.

Labor Day weekend

We had a great time boating and enjoying this lakeside home. The house was clean inside, and spacious as pictured. We also loved visiting Screw Auger Falls and Moose Caves…just a short drive away. I suggest that there be more kitchen towels available as well as washcloths in the bathrooms. The outside of the home could’ve used some cleanup as well.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was quite comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The weather was good except for the stormy day when all the lakes in the area experienced flooding along the shoreline. The only negative comment I have is in regard to the bathroom on the first floor. Due to the humidity, the toilet sweat a lot creating a lot of water on the floor and leaving a very mildewy smell in that one room. Towels around the base of the toilet and air freshener helped address the issue.

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: On one hand it is a lovely location on the water and only about 10 minutes to "downtown" Bethel. There is plenty of room for a larger group. (We were a group of 6 adults and two children.) The most of the rooms had ceiling fans and there were a couple of window fans available. Most bedrooms have a skylight. The rooms were clean. Julia was quick to respond to most of my inquiries. However, the TV downstairs did not work. We tried to problem solve it and put in new batteries. Julia did not respond (perhaps she doesn't work on the weekend) when I reached out to her. We were all hoping to be able to swim. Unfortunately, the beach area is full of leaves, tree branches, and debris. It could be a great spot (there is sand underneath) if someone took the time to rake it out. There are adirondack chairs to sit in though they are covered in pitch. Perhaps if people turned them over in between guests they'd stay cleaner. If you don't care about swimming, don't mind skylights waking you at daylight, and can bring your own chairs it is a nice spot!

Annual Family lake vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Clean and well maintained home on Songo Pond. Grandkids enjoyed swimming and canoeing on the lake. They brought their own paddle boards and went the length of the lake with Auntie. We enjoyed seeing a pair of loons and their two little ones! The dirt access road was perfect for the 7 year old and grandma to bike ride and there are roads to walk or bike the circumference. (under 4 miles). Explored the area a little but mostly enjoyed relaxing lakeside.
