A Gorgeous Lakefront property and marina on the sunny side of Donner

A gorgeous lake front property and marina on the sunny side of Donner Lake, this property is the picture of serenity. The outdoor decks are perfect for sun bathing, reading your favorite book and watching grandkids play on the paddle boat or kayak or SUP. Included in the rental; two SUPs (standup paddle boards), three Kayaks, canoe, and paddle boat. Further, there is a Hot Spring Spa to complete your family recreation and relaxation options.

The house is separated into three areas. A main area downstairs at lake level with 4 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen, 1 full+ 1 single, 4 singles) and 3 bathrooms. In addition, there is a large kitchen to accommodate all your entertaining needs, as well as large BBQ on the deck for outdoor dining. Two upstairs one bedroom apartments provide comfortable sleeping for 7 and three additional bathrooms. All units are connected by interior doors that can be closed for privacy if desired. Both apartments have private decks overlooking the water, state park and mountains.

There is ample parking, with space for up to 9 cars.

If soaking up the warm sun on one of the many decks and docks, or splashing in the brisk clear Donner water is your interest, this is the place for your vacation.

Peaceful serenity meets summer activities as water skiing, sailing, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, biking and much more are right outside your door. Tennis and golf and the night life of Truckee are minutes away or make the 30 minute trip to Reno for shows and gambling. It is rare to find a location with such natural ambiance and so much to do so close by.

Take advantage of one of the few weeks left in Summer and make this summer vacation a memory you will cherish for a lifetime.

Additional features include; reserved parking for seven to ten vehicles, berthing room for a 26’ boat and mooring space for additional boats, large gas barbeque, wind blocked sun deck, laundry facilities, wet suit and towel hanging space and a small beach area.

Communication was easy and quick. The house was really well laid out for adults and adults with families. Most bedrooms had attached bathrooms. The kitchen is extremely well stocked.

Supat 4th stay

Stay was wonderful just as our previous stays. Unfortunately, the paddle boat was not operable and in our previous stays that was fun for the wife and kids.

Amazing Family Cabin

Cabin was clean and very large; hosted our large family easily and comfortably. Very well stocked. Lots of water toys to enjoy the calmer end of the lake. Decks were sunny and spacious. The spa was a perfect treat after a day of playing on the water. We loved our stay and can’t wait to go back!

Supat Winter Celebarations

This is our second visit to the property so we were familiar with it. We had a great time, but we are not much of winter folks so next visit will be in the summer again. Owners are very good to work with.

We had an “excellent” adventure!

This fulfilled my dream and plan to celebrate my 75th birthday at Donner with my whole immediate family (14)!The house/cabin is interesting-a converted older motel! The lakeside location is the reason we chose this property- it’s perfect. Lots of water toys are offered, including a tutorial on the Hobie Cat ( which we did not need, but did use!) Spa looks new and was greatly appreciated by our tribe. Three owners were readily available, stopping by upon checkin, check out, and in between. The outboard was not working ( slight disappointment). There are a couple of flights of stairs to get to main kitchen and dining area, the upstairs bunk room, and over to the two living areas at street level. Access to pier and lake is fairly accessible with just slight steps down to lower patio. The kitchen is very well stocked with all kinds of appliances and there are two sets each of washers and dryers. I actually hate to recommend it too highly since that reduces my chances of it being available in the future for my family! But we created great memories once again and Donner will always have a very special place in our hearts! Thank you Hanns!

We came from all over the USA, Mexico and Australia for a family reunion and celebration of my daughter’s engagement. We had 3 generations that had spent summers on Donner lake and we had a wonderful time. The dock, kitchen, watercraft, laundry room and outdoor gathering spaces were excellent!!!

Fantastic Property & Location

Incredible water sports equipment. Owner was easy to deal with and communication was excellent. There were 14 of us: 8 adults and 6 children and we had plenty of room. Kitchen was very well stocked, definitely recommend!

Great spot on the lake

We had a lovely long weekend at the lake house. There were plenty of beds for everyone -- and plenty of water sports to keep everyone entertained. I went in with medium expectations based on the pictures included on the listing but the pictures do not do the place justice. While it does have more of that cabin feel, it was spacious, clean, and much more updated than expected. We hope to return when the weather is a bit warmer!

Unique Opportunity - Fun for the whole family!

Bryon and Jay were great hosts and the property is simply amazing. The house is large and spacious with plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, multiple kitchens and lots of living space. But the greatest gem is the back yard sitting right on Donner Lake with private docks and included lake activities such as canoes, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, a peddle boat, sailboat and motor boat. We have an amazing time inside and out and cant wait to come back again.

Amazing family get away

The location was the best. Our family enjoyed the hot tube and all the out door activity. Store close by. View is amazing. Neighbors were very nice.

Dream House

We had a fantastic week at Donner Lake. This house is beyond perfect. Plenty of space for our entire group, well equipped kitchen, and laundry room, and comfortable sleeping for all. But, the real highlight is the dock. We spent most of the week on the dock and on the lake. We had a blast using the paddle boards, pedal boats, and the canoe! Swimming and jumping off the dock was another highlight! We ate outside every night taking in the beautiful lake view! We hope to visit again next summer!

Wonderful family gathering destination

Well stocked kitchens, wonderful docks and water equipment, location to park is excellent, home is comfortable with bedrooms and baths to serve a group or family. Perfect Donner Lake location.

Best Property for Large Family Events!

This property could not be more perfect for hosting a large family reunion. The house itself is laid out fantastic to sleep lots of people. There are separate living areas to keep earlier morning kids entertained and quiet while not disturbing those sleeping downstairs. 3 full functioning kitchens let us cook amazing group meals. The back yard, lake and marina allowed for so many different activities to happen simultaneously that we never left the property for 3 days straight and did not get bored! Byron was fantastic and so communicative and the cleaners were super helpful on arrival. Thank you for an amazing stay can't wait to do it again next year!

Wonderful lake front property

This is a very comfortable house with incredible outdoor area. The variety of water craft provides water fun for all ages and skill. The kitchen is well stocked, there are plenty of towels and life jackets in every size. We had an incredible time and hope to come again

Three generations of our family stayed here for a week. We all enjoyed it tremendously. The water toys entertained all of us. We loved the decks and being right on the water., and the night views from there were fabulous. The trains across the lake fascinated us. The upstairs apartments were very nice. The downstairs kitchen shows its age more but the master bedroom was perfect for the "old folks" who wanted to be on the ground floor; the other three downstairs bedroom were small and less desirable. The kitchens were well stocked, and there are lots of games, puzzles and movie-access. Truckee is only a few miles away and Reno less than an hour. Everything was very clean when we arrived and we were greeted by both an owner and the housekeeper, both of them very welcoming.

Best vacation rental EVER!

My eight adult children agreed this was the best vacation rental of all previous summers. The house/location exceeded expectations! The sail boat, motor boat, kayak, canoe etc. were all used daily. The owner greeted us and was very cooperative. The main kitchen was well stocked with a myriad of cooking utensils, pots, pans, condiments etc., and the couples quartered in the other apartments were also well satisfied. The beds were comfortable, and the great room was a welcoming gathering place for everyone. Everything needed was supplied in abundance, including games, movies, books etc. The location is central and nearby state park, golf, parasailing, charter fishing, shopping were all great. We hope to include some grandchildren and great grandchildren next year.
