Fall and early winter are great times to visit Tahoe!

This four-bedroom, two-bath home in prestigious Dollar Point on Lake Tahoe's North Shore is a fantastic place for families and groups. This house has cable wifi which makes our home a great place for working remotely and is one of the few Dollar Point homes with a fenced-in backyard. The garden is fully landscaped and has a HUGE grass lawn complete with baby/toddler swings (it is one of the largest lots in Dollar Point). It also has a large deck with barbecue, hot tub, and dining table for outdoor meals. The home is also great for babies and young children (we have a high chair available).

Whether you're a family or a group of adults, this home has something for everyone. This beautiful home has an open living plan with a dining room adjoining the kitchen and living room. The kitchen is large and very well equipped, ready to prepare a gourmet meal. An open wood-burning fireplace makes this a cozy winter retreat.

In summer, there are many nearby activities. A bike trail leads you directly into Tahoe City, just 2 miles away. In winter, you are only minutes from world class ski resorts including Palisades Tahoe and Northstar. The house is easily accessible in winter ... flat parking, easy access from the highway, no 4WD required. Enjoy nearby Tahoe City for restaurants and shopping.

The bedrooms include down comforters and flannel sheets for winter, and soft cotton sheets for summer. The bedrooms are configured as follows:

Bedroom 1 (1st floor) - Queen size bed
Bedroom 2 (2nd floor) - Queen size bed
Bedroom 3 (2nd floor) - Queen size bed & 2 single beds
Bedroom 4 (2nd floor) - King size bed

Our home is pet friendly and we do allow one well-behaved dog (and can make exceptions for two dogs upon request).

*** NOTE: As of January 2021, due to changes in Dollar Point bylaws, renters will no longer be allowed to access Dollar Point amenities (pool, tennis club and private beach). ***

Local laws require that we charge a 12% occupancy tax (10% Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT) + 2% Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) tax) with every booking.

Please consider purchasing trip insurance (through VRBO or elsewhere) in case you choose not to take your trip within our cancellation window.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Great neighborhood! Our dog loved playing in the snowy bike path across the street. Very comfortable home with everything we needed, fully stocked kitchen! We loved the backyard. Would love to stay here again.

We had a wonderful and comfortable stay at this Lake Tahoe house. While the home is small, it is incredibly comfortable and laid out perfectly for a relaxing getaway.The absolute highlight for us was the fantastic fenced-in backyard! It was a secure and happy space where our dogs could safely play, which made a huge difference to our trip.Overall, a great, cozy spot for those traveling with pets. Highly recommend!

Perfect for our family and pet. Back yard is a highlight for the kids and dog with swings and room to run. Hot tub was enjoyed by the adults. The home is cozy and the kitchen is indeed well stocked as we cooked almost every night. Very convenient to the lake and town. We had a memorable stay. Host is very communicative and responsive.

Cozy stay in Tahoe city!

We had a wonderful stay in Dollar Point. Very convenient to downtown Tahoe City and walking distance from Tahoe XC for skiing. Kitchen was very well stocked for cooking, beds were comfortable, house was very clean. We had fun playing in the backyard in the snow and enjoyed the hot tub as well!

Great location, great house!

We stayed here for 2 nights in June and couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay. The host even returned a couple of swimsuits we had left behind. Definitely will stay here again!

Great house for people and Dogs.

We enjoyed our stay here, the house is extremely well stocked. You won't have to worry about having enough towels here. The kitchen is also very well stocked for all your cooking needs. The back yard is very large and great for dogs, plenty of room to run around without worrying about them getting out. Would definitely stay here again.

Great Family time

It was wonderful - 3 had 3 houses in the area rented - all walking distance to each other. This yard was fantastic so most came to us for dinner 👍 Only bummer was not being able to use pool and local beach - but we went other places Great home and host!!!

Great Stay!

Recently stayed here while in town for a wedding. The house was clean, cozy, and exactly as listed. All amenities we would need! Home is a very short drive to Tahoe City, where we got groceries, went out to eat, and hung out at the beach. The backyard was perfect to play outside with our 2 year old. Overall a wonderful stay.

Wonderful Home!

We had a lovely stay and it was beyond expectations. We always bring our own stuff when renting homes, but with this place we didn't need to. Everything you would need is provided! It even felt as if we were at our own cabin or a close friends. Great location, quiet neighborhood. The backyard felt like being at your own park! Would definitely recommend and would stay again!

Perfect Week in Lake Forest

Had an amazing stay at this cabin. Everything was very clean and organized when we arrived. Great house to stay with friends / family. They have a lot of items / utensils for cooking, which made it easy for family meals. My dog loved the backyard and it was perfect for a family game night. Overall, it was a great stay and I would definitely stay again next year!

Winter Getaway

Let me just start by saying this house was the perfect winter wonderland to celebrate New Years Eve and my husband's birthday. The hosts were absolutely wonderful and incredibly responsive and understanding while we were trying to travel during the storm. We CANT wait to be back and enjoy the amazing fenced yard in the summer with our pup!

Just What We Needed

We thoroughly enjoyed our days in the backyard in the warmth and sun. It was perfectly located across the street from the forest with a path that you could walk along for any length of time. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful, which is just what we needed. The home is a little older but has everything you need to be comfortable. Great location, beautiful yard

We had a wonderful stay with our family. The large, flat, and lush green yard with swingset and outdoor dining space was just perfect for our young children and dogs to enjoy safely. We loved eating dinner on the deck every night and cooking with the well-stocked kitchen - it had everything you might need including a great selection of glassware for cocktails! The home was comfortable and the check-in/communication process was excellent. It was great to be in such a central, convenient location. We would love to come back!

Holiday Celebration

Holiday snow trip for our kids and grandkids. First time staying in Tahoe City and did not disappoint. The comfort of this home along with the location made it a memorable trip for us all. Plenty of room for cooking and dining together, cuddling up by the fire to watch movies and play games. The grandkids experienced their first snow and sledding at Granlibakken just like their parents did when we took them as kids and just 10 minutes away! Definitely recommend.

Tahoe retreat

We were here for a very hot week over July 4th. The heat was our biggest challenge. The large fenced in backyard was a life saver. The kitchen is well stocked with anything you would want to prepare and serve meals. The location is perfect, close to Tahoe City and 15 minutes from Kings Beach. There were a few minor issues which the owner is having addressed.

Relaxing

This house was cozy and for us lacked nothing. Our small dog thought he was in heaven in the back yard as did we. Dinner in the back yard and then badminton that we brought. Bike trails very close. We would love to come back. Thank you, Miriam.

The first time we walked into the house and looked out at the huge and tranquil yard, we were sold. Before purchasing this house, we had spent more time in Tahoe in winter vs other seasons. No longer. Dollar Point, and our home in particular, is just a fantastic place to be any time of year. In summer, we love eating outside on the back deck, relaxing in the yard, and riding our bikes into town on the paved trail that begins at Dollar Point.
