SHAGGIN DOG CHALET
Up early in the morning to take your pet for a walk in my quite residential neighborhood. Afterward beach weather, so grab your suits and head to the beach.
After a day at the beach, time to head back and shower either in outdoor or indoor shower. Time to fire up the gas grill for a quick bite to eat before heading back out. A short walk to Main Street for good food, great entertainment and shopping.
If the night life is not for you, then maybe lounging in the hot tub would be a perfect end to a great day in North Myrtle Beach!

Quiet place for relaxation

Lynn is a wonderful host, very helpful and nice. We stayed 5 nights. Its just a bit further to the ocean than we expected.

We had a lovely time staying here! It was cozy, and well equipped with everything we needed. The perfect size for a long weekend. Lynn even provided coffee and bagels for us! We got great use out of the spacious deck and hot tub. Plus it’s only a short walk to the beach (no parking hassle) , with lots of restaurants and stores on the way.

Very nice little apartment. Just enough space for my daughters and I to enjoy our short vacation. The Hot Tub was also very nice and was perfect since it rained a lot during our stay. This rental is extremely close to the beach, stores and worth every penny. Would like to stay here again on our next visit. Thank You!

Such a gracious host.

I have stayed in several locations but Lynn was by far the best host. The space is just as described, so welcoming and cozy. Felt just like coming home. I would most definitely stay here again!

The best cottage

The best place to stay, It is just like home! It is so shabby chic, with the cutest yard ever! A quick bike ride to anywhere. Just a great little place, I loved it and will tell my friends about. Can't wait to stay again!

Snow bird stay

This property was perfect for getting out of New York winter weather. Lynn was kind enough to allow my cats to stay with me and was available for anything I needed. The location couldn’t have been better, walk to the beach and everything main st has to offer. Everything else that is needed is within a 5-10 minute drive. Overall, a great stay. I will be back!

Nice Stay in North Myrtle

We enjoyed our stay at Shaggy Dog, even though it was too short of a vacation! It was in a nice neighborhood and close to stores, Main Street, and Ocean boulevard. The master bedroom downstairs had a super comfy bed, and a very nice sized bathroom. Nice enclosed courtyard in the back yard with a privacy fence. Although, it was too hot to sit outside during the day. Definitely recommend this property!

Such a cozy place!

We came for my daughters orientation at CCU and so I was a nervous wreck from jump street..lol She made absolutely sure that her cute home was perfect and even left us a box of yummy doughnuts and beverages! Our stay was wonderful- even with a few hiccups on our side, along the way -(which seems to follow teen girls everywhere 🙄) and I would definitely stay again!

Wonderful week at the Beach!

Our trip to North Myrtle was wonderful! Lynn had everything ready and waiting for us, including a few breakfast treats! The 2nd floor apartment was cozy, but had a full size deck and fenced in backyard with a hot tub! Our pups could easily go down the stairs and into the yard without us worrying! The accommodations and location were great, only a 10-15 minute walk to the beach and main street was even closer of a walk. Quiet neighborhood was a plus! Lynn was extremely friendly, helpful and communicative! Definitely recommend this pet friendly place!!

Great spot, walkable to the beach and to the restaurants and bars on Main St. Has a parking spot. Owner is great, very welcoming. No silly rules or restrictions. Overall, nice set-up in the unit. Good amount of space. Modern appliances / amenities.

Cozy Upstairs Apartment

VRBO listing said the property was the entire house, what we got was an upstairs apartment. Owner lives downstairs. Thrre was no true seperation between upstairs and downstairs leaving questions about our privacy. Other than these issues, .the apartment was cozy and well equipped.

My listing states the apartment is upstairs and I live on the lower level. I also, I explain that my guest have their own private entrance & exit, plus I have a lock out door in my living area. The pictures on my listing show the rooms in the apartment & the upper deck, outdoor stairs that lead to the apartment entrance. There are pictures of the front of my house to let my guest know that they are at the correct location. I do stipulate that the fenced in area is shared. I need access to the fenced in patio area to maintain yard and hot tub. Out of the 7 days you were here, I was gone 5 of those days pet sitting for a friend. I only came home long enough to maintain my home and yard. I do not understand why you stated that you had no privacy.

The unit was clean except all the fake plants were very dusty. There is a lack of privacy in this unit. There is an open stairwell from the top level to the bottom level. We could hear the host talking to her dog and could hear her tv. When ever we would get up and walk around the unit her dog would be barking causing our dog to bark. The next door neighbors kids were very loud while we were trying to sleep at 9:30 pm. The road the unit is on is very busy and noisy.

Kathleen, I am really disappointed in the negative review you have given me. You told me that you & your husband were happy with the apartment when you arrived. So, to say the least I was surprised when you told me that you guys left a day early. It clearly states on my listing that the home is shared by me & my guest. The door at the bottom of the stairs is locked at all times while my guest are here. I chose not to put an additional door upstairs because the hallway is narrow. As for my dog barking, so did your dog. Every time you guys left the house, the dog started barking. North Myrtle Beach is a resort area, so there will be traffic & noise, so I have no control over these issues. There is also a noise ordinance in the city limits & it kicks into effect at 11:pm. I have a professional crew that comes in to clean the apartment after each guest leaves. I will let them know about my dusty fake flowers.
