Perfect location to experience Boothbay Harbour. We enjoyed the walkability. Apartment was spacious, fully stocked for towels; beds were comfy. We also enjoyed the restaurant. Great coffee and pastries for breakfast.

Apartment was in a great location, and was very clean and comfortable. We had an issue getting into the apartment and didn't hear back from the host for nearly 12 hours which was a little concerning. We ended up figuring it out and had a great stay! Another small thing -- there was no toilet paper but that was easily rectified.

We had a fantastic stay. Five women had plenty of room. Beds were very comfortable. The view is outstanding. Extremely clean apartment. Drip coffee maker. Full kitchen. Has all dishes youā€™ll need. Host was communicative and welcoming. Dinner in the restaurant below the apartment was so yummy. Apartment was central to everything downtown. The only negative would be the loud music and slamming doors downstairs at night. Just bring earplugs and itā€™s fine.

Fantastic vacation property

We loved our stay in Boothbay Harbor. The apartment was a perfect location. The apartment was nicely updated and had everything we needed. The view was great. The beds were comfy. We canā€™t get over how friendly and helpful everyone was. What a great place to stay. Highly recommend!

September in Boothbay

Boothbay is a lovely coastal town. Plenty of restaurant options and shops. A walkable town but parking is tight so having a dedicated space was a major plus. Location was premium. The owner very accessible if needed. The space was as described. Screens on windows would have been a bonus but not necessary in September. Overall, an enjoyable stay.

Convenient Boothbay Location

Property was convenient to all shops and restaurants in Boothbay but located where there is a considerable amount of pedestrian foot traffic.It felt awkward coming and going as the apartment is located above a restaurant, so the privacy factor is low. There was a considerable amount of room for four people.However, the apartment was dirty, and not ready for guests. Metehan was responsive and provided extra towels and sundry items. There was a nice washer and dryer in the unit, but no dishwasher. Unfortunately, the apartment needed a serious deep clean and maintenance. There were simple maintenance issues overlooked, like replacing light bulbs or cleaning out a very dusty fan (which my husband took apart and vacuumed out). And yes, loud music from the restaurant could be heard as well as odors from the restaurant, which weren't always pleasant. The space served our needs but would not revisit.

More upkeep needed

The location and host were great. The free parking made things super easy too. But it generally didnā€™t seem as well maintained as Iā€™m used to and was not well cleaned. Another note for summer travelers, the a/c was only in the living room, which made sleeping during a heat wave difficult. And opening the windows at night wasnā€™t a great option because not all windows had screens and several of the ones with screens had holes.

Beautiful, accommodating, and best of all got to bring our dog

I have been coming to Boothbay Harbor for over 30 years. We used to stay at the Rocktide Inn. Needless to say, BH is incredibly sentimental to me. Staying here, with the incredible view was so special. We were greeted right away by our host, who was kind and incredibly accommodating throughout our entire stay. The rental was spacious, clean, and included much of what you would need. It even had a washer and dryer which was so helpful. Our dog absolutely loved people watching from the windows. The place is so well lit with windows bordering every room. I hope to stay here again for every visit. I do think the price was just a little too high and hope that it might come down just a little. Would give us the flexibility to stay even longer next time. Great place, great host, great experience!

Excellent Location in a Lovely Home

Great ocean views in a cozy 3 bedroom home, and walking distance to shops and restaurants can't be beat! We stayed at the beginning of September, while the weather was beautiful and still very warm. Despite only having one A/C unit in the living room the house was cool and comfortable! The house was clean and neat and not overly filled with items. There is a large bathroom with a washer and dryer and plenty of toiletries - even hairspray. The beds were all comfy with nice bedding and pillows, which is always important. It was nice that despite being above a restaurant we barely heard any noise and didn't have any bad smells. Sometimes yummy breakfast smells would waft up early in the morning in the laundry area but it was so nice and made us all pretty hungry. The restaurant downstairs also delivers to you upstairs. It was easy to check in and out and parking was simple and convenient. Metehan, the owner, is so kind and helpful and easy to get hold of as he usually can be found downstairs at the restaurant. All his staff at the restaurant were so friendly too. I would totally recommend staying at this lovely home in Boothbay Harbor for a peaceful getaway in one of the best locations in the area!

Great Location

We enjoyed staying in downtown Boothbay Harbor. Apt was clean, beds were comfortable, good linens and towels, loved the harbor view. The kitchen had all we needed for making meals. We had 7 people with one bathroom- and we knew that when we booked it. All the same family so we were patient when needed. Good shower pressure. Washer and dryer! Designated parking spot was great! We would typically depart after breakfast and return around dinnertime. We visited in July. The AC is one window unit in the common area, apt was cool w/ doors open to bedrooms when sleeping. Some nights it was cool enough to open the windows. As it is downtown you will hear the sounds and smell the cooking of various businesses opening in the morning, quiet at night for sleeping. Metehan was great and friendly when we saw him. Thanks for another memorable vacation in Maine!

Great place in center of town right on the water.

What a great place right in the center of town and all the activity! The apartment appears to be newly remodeled and I would say they did a fantastic job! So modern! I love all the little things that make it cozy. Extra blankets in the living room, many pillows on the couch. Tastefully decorated. The location is amazing. A view of the foot bridge that crosses the harbor. Nice big windows from the living room and master bedroom give a fantastic view. Saw a gorgeous sunrise. Blinds on those windows for nighttime. There is one parking spot for the Vrbo which I just couldn't seem to park in since there was a dumpster right there. Since it was winter this was not a problem due to the large parking lot, but I would imagine it would be trickier in the summer. It can easily sleep 7 since the couch is huge, but there were not other seats in the living room, so if you all wanted to hang out there you would need to haul in some of the dining table chairs. The chairs and the couch were not what was in the listing. The dining chairs were actually much nicer! Cushy! But there were only 4. I went down to the restaurant and asked the owner if he had another chair for us and he ran one up immediately! Each room has its own heat so that is nice during the day and at night! The first review talked about a warning to noise-sensitive people. It was spot on. There was a little noise as they were cleaning up the restaurant after closing but it didn't go past 10:00. There were a couple of areas that could have been cleaner, the sinks needed more attention. I was expecting a toaster but none could be found. The photos showed a Keurig type pot as well as drip coffee maker, but there was no Keurig. That being said I would definitely book this place again. We loved being able to just walk out the door, walk around the town and look into the shops and restaurants.

Amazing stay in unbeatable location

I believe this is the first review for this accommodation, so I'll try to make it useful for guests and owners. Our stay here was superb. The apartment seems to have been renovated very recently and it was done, and decorated, very tastefully. It was clean and full of amenities and very nice touches. It is spacious and has a lot of natural light. The location is just unbeatable and it has a fantastic view from the living room and master bedroom. The one parking spot is very convenient, although I suspect in summer it could be hard to park more than one vehicle in this area, and it is a 3-bedroom, so more than one vehicle will likely be the case for most future guests. It easily sleeps 6 people, however keep in mind that, besides sleeping, it is currently furnished and equipped for 4. Both the living room (couch) and the dining table only seat four, and dinnerware, etc. is all for 4 as well. Easy fix; I'm sure the owners will keep updating the apartment as they receive more feedback from guests. Fair warning to noise-sensible people; some noise from outside could be heard inside, despite the town being very quiet the days we stayed. On a positive note; no noise, or smell, came in from the restaurant downstairs. Just very faint music that was turned off quite early. Not bothersome at all. By the way, the restaurant downstairs, from the same owner, is spectacular; best food in the area. Hot water is plentiful and quick, and heating works like a charm. I have nothing negative to say about this place, there are just a couple of areas of improvement that I'm sure will be addressed soon. We enjoyed our stay very much and would not hesitate a second to book here again next time we visit lovely Boothbay Harbor.
