Thank you so much for being our guest. I’m not just sorry your stay wasn’t perfect, I’m personally crushed. Yours is the first review I’ve ever had that wasn’t five stars. I actually asked VRBO if this was a mistake that could be corrected, and they said it couldn’t, so I thought I’d respond. First the things over which I have no control...in three years this is the first time a guest has mentioned noise at all…and yes summer in PCB can be something of a party especially during bike week. The resort is incredibly popular this time of year, and in the process of spending several million dollars upgrading elevators. I gave some information on workarounds for the elevators which you may have missed, and I’m sorry if they didn’t somehow help. Also, I agree the front desk isn’t a great solution…that’s what I’m for as a Premier Host. Now to the things I can control…I’m glad the kitchen was up to your expectations…thank you, and I’m glad it was “nice” even though just “nice” isn’t my expectation. I don’t understand the towels, although you entered the condo before it was ready, without permission or a door code. You hadn’t arranged for early arrival, and the cleaning crew was still there working. It was awkward and perhaps quality control was flustered and missed something. You called immediately to tell me that your group didn’t have enough towels (the four per bathroom weren’t enough) and I had a dozen bath towels, hand towels and extra linens hand delivered to your room within an hour with my compliments. The first we knew about the shower fixture was after you left, and it did appear that a strong pull could remove the handle from the fixture…although we still aren’t sure why someone would. It has been tightened though and would have been addressed instantly had I known. Finally, and most importantly, the bed. This isn’t a rental investment. This is our home. These are the mattresses we buy for ourselves…and we are pretty spoiled. I don’t want to sleep on a bad mattress either. I first looked back at every other review and found half a dozen that specifically appreciated the upgraded mattresses, and even three personal requests for the model numbers and makers so guests could duplicate the experience at home, so I was afraid something terrible had happened. I had service people inspect and videotape testing the mattresses, pulling them up, bouncing on them, checking every part and angle…and the conclusion was that they are still nearly new and perfect high end covered protected mattresses. We did find that at roughly seven hundred pounds, the pounds of weight in the middle of the bed, it could sag…something I never realized. So we are having additional support installed, just in case. I hope your future visits to PCB are quieter and your pillows are softer, and wish you and your group the best.

I’m glad you enjoyed our family’s beach home, but I have to admit being a bit frustrated with only a four star review. We aren’t investors, we care about our guests and have spent tens of thousands of dollars making this one of the nicest beachfront condos ever. I understand you are upset that the indoor Roman spa was closed the day you wanted to soak, that checkin took too long (because you didn’t pre register online as we suggested) and you didn’t like the free movies in the indoor theater…none of which we control but we are sorry your visit wasn’t perfect. We can control a luxury stay in an immaculate updated and decorated accommodations; amazing electronics and the fastest internet money can buy to work from beach; beach toys and a welcome basket with treats and a gift card, and views like a cruise ship. Tidewater is spending millions upgrading its elevators, and we hope to do better your next visit.
