This location was perfect! Mit alot of street noise and has the charm of vintage houses with the high ceilings and large windows. I loved the updated bathrooms which balanced the space. The host was fantastic, great communication and information. Would certainly stay again

The unit was clean, comfortable, and in an excellent location. We were able to walk to all locations we wanted to see. Parking was easy and very reasonable. We would stay at this location again!

Very nice stay in Warehouse District

A fun, comfortable, convenient stay. This was a perfect space for a few days, and it was walkable to restaurants, Rouse’s Market, CVS, and my conference at the Hyatt.

As we first entered the apartment it reeked of urine. I had to go buy air fresheners to make it somewhat enjoyable. There was no wifi so trying to get work done on a work trip was impossible. They did end up bringing wifi hot spots after a full day of us staying there but only after suggesting it was an inconvenience. With that being said, the guest who had to stay downstairs was faced with dealing with a constant fire alarm beep. Non stop. All day all night with no way to turn it off. We asked for someone to take care of it. No one did. The grounds keeper told us that it wasn't connected to anything anyways and to just reset it. How safe that made us feel. I would definitely not recomend this place. It is not at all what we expected with the amount we paid to stay here.

We're so sorry about the troubles you had during your stay. Maintaining an historic building like this always has its challenges, and while we were eventually able to solve these problems that occurred during your stay, we're sorry that it caused some inconvenience at the start.

Awesome place

Charming and quirky industrial vibe. Great location (ignore the outdated brochure and don’t miss the Rouses Grocery just a blocks walk away) Management was informative and responsive and the “consumables” were well stocked. This was our first experience with this kind of lodging and I packed extra towels and toilet tissue which were unnecessary. Would stay here again.

Exactly what we needed!

We had a great stay at David’s property. We had easy access to restaurants, bars, casinos and tourist attractions via walking, public transit and cheap ride shares, but the neighborhood itself was quieter and cheaper to stay in. The unit was clean, safe and comfortable, we especially appreciated the beds with several pillows and a comforter for the chillier nights. We loved bear cat bakery right nearby and the gravity salon on the next block over. David was great at responding to my questions and allowed us to check in early and add a friend even after we booked. Thanks for having a great affordable option in the heart of New Orleans!

We had a fantastic stay here last week, the apartment and building is exactly as it is described/shown in pictures on the listing. Appreciated the room on the lower level was described as so, having the two bathrooms was really great, and the kitchen/living area was great - nicely stocked with paper towels, dishes, silverware, and a coffee pot with coffee and filters. We had plenty of towels, pillows, etc. As others described, there is some noise from others in the building, but that is to be expected in a historical building with other apartments, it was nothing out of the ordinary if you've ever lived/stayed in an apartment. It is a beautiful, historic building that truly gives you the New Orleans feel. The location is great - very nice and quiet neighborhood that is close to the RTA lines, a few blocks from a pick-up point on the hop-on-hop-off bus, there is a great coffee shop across the street, a grocery store a block away, and several restaurants and bars in the area to easily walk to.David was very informative and provided all details and information needed timely, checked in while we were (via e-mail) to make sure all was going well. Would highly recommend a stay here, we will be back again!

The host did everything right and was generally helpful.However... The accommodations were less than stellar. We knew we wouldn't spend much time in the VRBO as we were 'out and about' for most of the night. So initially we weren't concerned.The walls and ceiling are incredibly thin. We heard literally every noise from the upstairs apartment to the point you felt they were in your room w/ you (coughing, talking, walking) Also, there is an outdoor patio right next to the lower apartment. The windows do not seal, actual open cracks in the window. The upstairs neighbors were outside in this patio until 3AM. So again, you heard everything as if they were in the living room w/ you. I enjoy renting VRBOs but this made me wish for a hotel.

We're so sorry to hear about your experience and wish there was more we could do about noise from the other apartments, but with this being a historic structure, our hands are tied a bit with major renovations. We do thank you for the feedback about the windows and will have our maintenance team take a look at those for future guests. We're sorry to hear about a cleanliness issue during your stay, that's certainly never the experience we want for our guests. We did offer to send the cleaners back over, which you said you didn't want us to do, so there wasn't really much else we could do at that point. We made sure to have the unit deep cleaned after your departure, and we sincerely hope you'll give us another chance in the future.
