Sue's Dream with Beautiful Ocean Views

Sue's Dream is located across from beautiful Heceta Beach in Florence. Great views from windows and off deck and patio. Literally steps from a smooth entrance to a long beach. The ocean is a few yards away. Beach walking, sand play, picnics, bonfires, kite flying, whale watching and much more. Views of Historic Heceta Light House one direction, and walk right onto the South Jetty with views of the sand dunes the other direction.

Wonderful family home, great for fun or relaxation. House has been recently updated! Spacious family room down stairs with two over-sized couches,over-sized chair. Ocean views and family entertainment. Relax on the double deck with wind enclosure. Wonderful for a meal or drink while watching the sunset and serenity of the ocean. Enjoy meals with a view from the dining room and kitchen.

Great house to watch whales, waves, boats, people, weather and breathtaking sunsets. The deck is a great place to enjoy meals, games, family, and relax. Nice quiet neighborhood, respectful and responsible neighbors. Very friendly neighborhood, dining across the road at DriftWood Shores. Jerry's local tavern is a favorite in this area, very friendly folks.
Queen and Full downstairs and bathroom, and two queens and bathroom upstairs. T.V. and DVD player upstairs and downstairs.

Great location

The location and setting is perfect for a great stay by the ocean! The house was set up so nicely and there was no shortage of fun to be had. We wish we would have had more time to cook and play some of the numerous games that were there for our fun! Sunsets were beautiful and we were visited by a sweet doe just outside the patio while enjoying our morning coffee. Definitely recommend this house for a comfortable and fun stay!

Roomy home in Florence

Spacious comfortable home that worked well for 4 adults, but would sleep more. Enjoyed the views and closeness to the beach. Kitchen was well appointed, beds comfortable, and living areas were great for visiting.

Family visiting family get away

6 adults and an infant. Visiting family in the area. The property was a nice lay out, the couple of issues we encountered were handled quickly and did not negatively impact our stay. Property owner was prompt and kind in all of the communications. Beach is just across the street. Was nice having the large up and downstairs sitting spaces. Would definitely stay here again.

Quick family getaway

Had a great stay at Sue’s Dream. Loved the upper & lower living areas. Room for togetherness & privacy. Nicely updated with comfy furniture. Great views from the deck & entrance to the beach is right across the street. Will definitely rent here again!

Nice house

House was very clean, location was perfect and easy to find. We enjoyed our visit very much. The property owner was very nervous about making sure we understood the rules and we had issues with getting into the house as the door lock was sticking. Once in everything was perfect. House was equipped with everything we needed!

Beauty by the Beach. Dream Home.

This property was one of the best vacation rentals I've ever seen. It had everything we needed. Plenty of bedrooms, comfortable living rooms upstairs and downstairs. Great deck we were able to watch the sunset every night. Sue was one of the best host I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. She answered every question in a more then timely manner and made sure we had everything we needed. The house is a half a block from the beach and the resort next door has a nice little coffee shop with beautiful ocean views. I would stay here again with no problem.

Mostly Great

Pros: awesome location! Walking distance to the beach, and we enjoyed the ocean views while sitting on the deck. The house was clean, had a fully stocked kitchen, and very comfortably furnished. Plenty of space for 8 people to relax. Our boys very much enjoyed the foosball table downstairs and for the most part we all had a pretty good stay in this house. cons: first, the key entry was pretty difficult and we had a hard time getting it out of the lock, but eventually got it so not too big a deal. Keyless entry would be fantastic though. Second, all the “clean” and folded towels in the linen closet upstairs had globs of black hair on them. Kind of gives an uneasy feeling when showering. Lastly, while we always expect some cleanup when staying in vrbo’s, (starting dishwasher, linens/towels in wash, and general pickup of our time there) the expectation of dishes having to be put away before leaving and all the towels washed AND dried before leaving was really an added stress. With 8 people showering in the AM and an 11:00 checkout time (we actually had to be out even earlier due to our boys tournament schedule for that day) there was very little time to get the dishwasher ran completely to put away dishes and for a full wash cycle of towels and into the drier. It definitely made the end of our stay not so enjoyable especially when you pay a non refundable cleaning deposit. All in all, it’s a nice place to stay if you have the time for extra cleaning. Great location!

CLose to Ocean

The best thing about this house is how close you are the ocean. Just a quick walk across the street and you are on a short path. I would guess about a one minute walk. The house is not fancy, but the couches and the mattresses are comfortable. It's basic and I respect that. There were two TVs which we didn't need, but would be nice if we had the kids along. It would be a hard house for someone with difficulty with stairs- they were pretty steep. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, but it wasn't super clean. We had to clean a lot of the stuff before we used it. I mentioned this to Sue so hopefully things will get better there, but I wanted to mention it here in case you are someone who Needs a super clean kitchen. The bathrooms were put together with items that look second hand, but did not have the cleanliness issues the kitchen did. They looked really clean and the towels were all white and didn't have stains or anything. We loved the location. We went to Fred Meyer every day and picked up what we needed. The neighborhood is very quiet and has traffic but it was all slow. There is a parking space/park across the street by the ocean. We were there in the beginning of June when it wasn't full on summer crowds, so I can't speak to the experience during the true peak season. Overall, I would recommend this house. I felt it was a good value because of the location.

So disappointing!

This stay was for my brothers memorial. We wanted our family to meet at the VRBO and go to the beach for the memorial. I asked the host if this was ok since she had a no gathering rule. She said it was ok. The day of, our family met at the house for less than 10 min before going to the beach. After the memorial, we got a text from the host accusing us of having a large gathering that she was not okay with. We pulled up prior messages to ensure we did in fact clear this with her. When we spoke to the host on the phone, we were made to feel we were being constantly being watched, even inside the house. This was disturbing and added stress to a very emotional day that we had been planning for months to honor our late brother. There was no hand soap in the bathrooms. We told the host and she said soap wasn’t included. The rule that towels needed to be washed AND DRIED prior to departure was absurd. We had to go buy hand soap and also bought towels so we didn’t worry about the towel rule. After reading the rules we felt uncomfortable eating or cooking in the house. We took our food to my sisters VRBO to cook and eat because their hosts were more accommodating. I paid almost $1000 more for an ocean view that we didn’t even get to enjoy. The house was not clean. We had ants in every room. I am so disappointed in the cleanliness of the house, the feeling of being consistently watched, and how it put a negative light on what was supposed to be a beautiful and special day.

Everything you need for beach stay

Sue’s place has everything you need. The updated kitchen has all the things for cooking and baking, great separation of space for large groups, western facing deck for sunny days and it’s right across the street from easy access to a great beach. Definitely recommended for folks looking for a family/group get away.

Good house for a lovely stay

I’ve stayed at this house multiple times. This time was the first in 10 years or so. It’s definitely upgraded in that time. Beds were comfy, just wish there was a king bed option. Over half of our traveling party were on the large side and could of used a bigger bed for more comfort. Could use another couch/love seat upstairs. Loved the large dining room table. Was great for our large group and game nights. Having the deck was nice, but seemed a little wobbly. Didn’t spend much time out there. Loved that there was streaming options for tv watching. Some weird requests, like no tin foil in the oven. And to take our bottles and cans with us when we left. But overall a good place to stay. I would stay again.

Nice Get Away

Good times on the beach. Sunsets just steps away. We all enjoyed this home very much. It could have been a little cleaner upon arrival but we did a once over to meet our needs.

Great place close to beach

Problems: not enough towels! wash towels before you leave? Really? This needs to be done professionally! Also, water heater would not recover. Good: well stocked kitchen, nice living areas, great views, beach across street!

Relaxing and walking on the beach. I love to watch all the different weather patterns change the look and actions of the ocean. One of my favorite things to do is sit on the deck and talk to people as they pass by. Love, love,love to go to Old Town.
