Offering a master suite, second bedroom and bathroom along with a well equipped kitchen, cozy living room with a warm fireplace and big screen TV. Enjoy stunning views through the huge picture windows, lounge in the enclosed patio to read your favorite book or just sit back and relax. Enjoy the gas grill on the rear deck grilling your favorite meal and soaking up the beautiful scenery with your favorite bottle of wine.

Moon River Cottage is only one mile from the famed old town of Florence. Downtown Bay Street includes wonderful shopping and fantastic dining options. Another mile south on Hwy 101 you can ride the famed Oregon Dunes, or drive north a few more miles and go horseback riding on the beach. World famous Sea Lion caves are also just north of Florence along with the beautiful Heceta Head Lighthouse. You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. This amazing home on the river is a nature lover's paradise! From the birds, to the seals, to the river's own beauty- it's not to be missed! The home is very comfortable and well set up. Everything you need is provided! We cannot wait to return!

The house and view were just what we needed for relaxation and to celebrate the on-set of Christmastime. The host was accommodating and answered all our questions in a timely manner.We plan on staying again in the future but may bring items like a spatula or perhaps extra paper towels. We were not able to use the fireplace as perhaps the battery needs to be replaced in the remote? This was not a deal breaker at all :)Thank you for everything, Della!!!!

Hidden gem

Wonderful cottage on the river. It had everything we needed with a great view. In other places we have stayed, there was a notebook describing how to operate things like the tv that was very helpful. We definitely would stay here again!

My husband and I plus another couple had a wonderful stay! Moon River Cottage was perfect for 2 couples. We loved the peaceful river view, the well equipped kitchen and the proximity to town and recreation opportunities. The cottage was spotless and we appreciated enough parking space for our kayak trailer. We would happily return here.

Awesome place to stay

This is our 2nd time staying here, and it was a perfect place for our longer stay in Florence. The location cannot be beat, both for access to everything and for the beautiful scene at the back of the house. Watching the birds, seals, boats, wind surfers, kayakers, occasional river otters, and deer from this very private yard was so relaxing and entertaining. Great viewing from outside or inside the house. Having a washer & dryer was incredibly helpful. Our only negative comments relate to towels (ours were pretty pathetic and smelled of fragrance & mildew), and kitchen items (many of the white cups had chips or cracks in them, as did the HEAVY plates). We would have preferred lighter dishes (that did better in the microwave), and more of them. Also, there was only one dishcloth for our extended stay here, and only a few hand towels.

Moon River Cottage, Florence

The cottage is located along the banks of the river where you are able to walk during low tide. Getting to the river is a little slippery but not too difficult. Walk up river to the exploding whale park and loop down the road back to the cottage for a short hike. The cottage is very well appointed and very clean with everything like new. Two queen beds were very comfortable. The deck outside allows you relax and watch the peaceful river with very little boat traffic. We had a deer visit one morning! It's located very close to town and not far from beaches and hiking trails. It was a perfect spot for two friends to visit and would work for two couples or small families. I will be back!

Girls Trip

House was perfect for the three of us! Loved the view! House had everything we needed. The only thing I would recommend to the owner is to maybe have a ottoman to put your feet up in the living room. Other wise perfect little getaway. The courtyard in the front was so pretty, the landscaping in the back with that view so amazing! Thank you, we will defiantly come back!

Room with a View

My biggest problem with this home is the heating system. Noisy and a challenge to get the temperature we desired. The other disappointment was the audio system. While tv had a package we were not use to, we couldnā€™t understand how to get music. When we arrived there was lovely music playing but trying to get music back we were not able to achieve. Other than that this is a beautiful home and of course the view was really nice to watch. The paneling and stone fireplace make the living area really nice. The sunroom was an extra unexpected surprise to this home. Comfortable furniture and we slept really wellā€¦ā€¦ā€¦after I turned the heat/fan way down in the master bedroom.

Beautiful Place on the River!

We absolutely love this house itā€™s so warm and inviting! We arrived and the warm glow of the fireplace started our time off so cozy. Absolutely the cleanest freshest stay we have had anywhere. All new appliances and nice furnishings. Super comfortable bed and bathrooms so beautifully done. Huge walk in shower in master was great.

Beautiful, peaceful, and quiet on the river

Super clean house right on the river. Terrific views, perfect for 4 people. Nice kitchen, 2-car garage, so quiet. Only draw back is no walkable food options. But driving is easy!
