Escape to Lakeside Sunsets, a thoughtfully designed and beautifully decorated lakefront retreat on Smith Mountain Lake. This pet-friendly, 3-bedroom, 3-bath home offers stunning water views, multiple outdoor living spaces, and luxurious amenities—perfect for families, couples, or friends seeking a serene lakeside getaway.

Relax on the spacious upper deck with morning coffee, unwind on the lower screened porch, or stroll down to your private dock nestled in a quiet cove. The dock is ideal for sunbathing, swimming, kayaking, floating, fishing, and picnicking. Bring your own boat or rent one nearby—the average water depth at the dock is 10 feet.

Entertainment abounds inside. Enjoy movie nights in the theater room with six reclining chairs, or friendly competition with games like ping pong, foosball, and pool. The main-level back deck features a gas grill for al fresco dining, while the lower-level porch offers a bubbling hot tub for relaxing evenings by the water.

Located just minutes from Bridgewater Plaza, you'll have easy access to restaurants, shopping, mini-golf, a full-service marina, arcade, and lakeside entertainment.

In love with this home This is by far the most beautiful vacation home we ever stayed in. Everything was spotless, new and maintained. The hot tub is amazing. There are plenty of supplies. The views are amazing. I literally have nothing negative to say. We would definitely return

First time to SML! Quiet neighborhood and very relaxing area! The house is well laid out with lots of great amenities. Clean and well stocked kitchen with necessary items. We enjoyed the beautiful view of the lake, hot tub and kayak. Close to area with restaurants and activities. Would definitely go back and stay again at this location.

We enjoyed our stay at this house. The view is beautiful and we enjoyed the comfortable deck furniture and dock. It was very clean. The game room and theater were big hits! It would be nice to have a pantry or shelving in the kitchen. Storing food on the counter takes up cooking space. Overall we had a great time and made wonderful family memories!

Clean and cosy

This was our first stay at SML - we loved it! The house was as advertised. Cleanliness is key for us and it definitely met our expectations. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of amenities - the fire pit, the movie room, the dock, the hot tub, the pool table, and the view.

End of Summer Getaway

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake. SML is truly my happy place. The house had a great view of the main channel and Bridgewater Marina. Oh, and the sunsets! Wow. We always love sharing the lake with our dogs who love to swim! Would rent again if there was a floating dock. The slope is steep and riprap challenging for the dogs to get in and out of the water. Checkin was a breeze. Kitchen is well equipped. Open shelves are cute. Suggest adding shelves to the pantry so we could put food away instead of on counters or top of the fridge. Really convenient that linens are provided. Fitted sheets did not stay in place however and the mattress cover makes it hot to sleep on. Simply opening a window helped. Overall we had a great time!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. We were impressed with how well stocked the house was, the amenities it had to offer, and location. Cons- We had an issue with the fridge working upon arrival and a maintenance tech had to come out, cleanliness could have been better, and not having a floater dock made it hard to get into the water with small children

Perfect Getaway

This home was one of the cleanest and well stocked homes I have stayed in. And the communication from the owner was top notch. Not only did we have excellent check-in insturctions, we were there duirng inclement weather and we have an email telling us how to handle things like power outages, request a flashlight, etc. The location of the home was great and it had plenty of amenities to keep everyone entertained. The movie theater was a huge plus given we had a rainy day inside! Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect lake getaway!

Excellent location and accommodations. We rented a pontoon boat right across the lake and enjoyed swimming and touring the lake. When we weren’t on the water we also enjoyed the game room. Thank you for allowing dogs. She had as much fun as we did!

Great spot!

We came to celebrate my youngest son’s high school graduation. The house is very comfortable and well stocked. My boys loved the game room and night fishing off the dock - caught a ton of fish! My husband and I enjoyed the view from the downstairs master. We would definitely stay here again.

Short get away

The house was clean and fully stocked. We did not have to go buy a bunch of items for our stay which is nice. The house location was great. Short drive to grocery store and the marina. The house had an amazing theater room which was not shown in any of the pictures so that was a nice surprise. Overall we had a great time.

Beautiful home

We loved staying at this property. Beautiful location of the lake and beautiful home. The only thing we would have enjoyed more is having the bath (master) closer to the master bedroom room and there was a vent in the master bedroom. Other than that, we wish our stay would have been longer.

House was warm and welcoming.

Very nice property access to the dock was a little steep for the seniors. But overall very nice. Oct 30th swimming in the lake the kids and young adults enjoyed themselves.

Gorgeous, peaceful, perfect!

We had the MOST wonderful time for a surprise birthday for my dad. The water views are breathtaking, the firepit and hot tub look out that same direction so anyplace you are, the view is great! The first floor "game room" was so fun, everything was new. Love the decor! Thanks so much!

Great place to stay

Quiet house and neighborhood. The hot tub was a plus. We enjoyed it greatly! The sun sets directly across the lake so it is so nice to sit on the back porch (with plenty of seating!) and watch it go down. Downstairs, there is a pool table, foosball table, ping pong table and an arcade game. We enjoyed our stay here and would stay here again if we find ourselves back at Smith Lake!
