Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting.
The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island.
Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests.
Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills.
Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary.
Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas.
A full service concierge can also arrange for everything from massages to fishing charters.
Join a complimentary water aerobics class, nature walk or yoga on the beach when scheduled. Whether you wish to spend your time with us on the go or taking it slow, you’re sure to enjoy your new Memories at the Speed of Old Florida.

Girls weekend

We had a great time the pool, house and beach were great. The staff was very helpful and super pleasant. You could tell that they love their job. Hope to make this an annual get away. Thank you!

Disappointed with the red tide causing the beach to be littered with dead fish & the smell was bad. Luckily the pool is very nice.

Hello Kris, Thank you for taking your time to do this review. I am sorry for the issues with red tide, unfortunately there is no stopping mother nature. Our landscaping team worked extra hard to combat the dead fish on our beaches. I hope you will return and give our beautiful island resort another chance without the red tide issues.

I did notice this year the pool area needed some repairs and the Grills were in HORRIBLE condition. One wouldn't light at all, another only had 3 burners working.

We loved the privacy and natural beauty of the beach. Staff members at Coconuts were friendly and super helpful with everything we needed. We enjoyed playing tennis, riding bikes, cruising the island in golf carts, swimming, and especially time at the beach. Dinner at Rum Bay was excellent both times we at there during the week. This was our second trip to Palm Island and we will definitely be back.

A girls birthday weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our unit in Palm Island Resort was very nice. Furniture looked like it was kept in great shape and plenty of utensils, dishes, etc. I recommend putting a hair dryer and more bath towels in the upstairs bathroom. The unit is situated right at the pool and near the beach. It seems like they had some pools closed though because there were a lot of people at our pool. Also, make sure you get the times for the water taxi to the restaurant. We were told different times from employees and ended up too late to take the water taxi to the restaurant. Overall, all employees were very nice and the unit and resort were great!

We do have two pools being resurfaced. They were not scheduled to overlap but a delay occurred. We are excited for the completion of these two necessary resurfacing projects to be completed.

Two week summer stay

We've been coming to Palm Island Resort for over 30 years and we've stayed in this unit at least 3 times, so overall we love our experience and all the beach & pool time with family, the golf cart rides, Rum Bay, etc. The size of the unit and the number of beds make it nice so we can bring family and friends and all stay together. The kitchen is well stocked with pots & pans, lots of silverware, nice refrigerator, etc. Overall the unit is great, but is definitely starting to show some wear and tear - bar stools stained and broken, pocket door to master bath broken and non-functional so we had to use the hallway door as a bathroom door, etc. We reported the broken door to maintenance, so hopefully it will be repaired but it wasn't while we were there. We reserved the unit again for next summer. Looking forward to another great vacation with family.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always have a fantastic time at this resort and make a point to go at least once a year. We are never disappointed. The rates have steadily climbed over the years but we continue to go.This is a place to go if you want to do NOTHING BUT RELAX and have absolutely no guilt.I do have one major complaint. They have recently instituted a new POOL CARD system. You need a card to get into the pool area. I don't understand why this is necessary. You are also required to push a button to get OUT of the pool. This is very awkward if you have your hands full. (The out button is not close to the gate.)The worst part is the fact they you are only given one key card per unit. We had seven adults in our unit and only one card! If someone had taken the card down to the beach, the others could not get into the pool. If your group had gone to the pool and were in the pool, they had to get out of the pool to let you in! Having only one card was quite a nuisance and unacceptable. I actually had to climb over the fence, as a last resort one day. I am 62! and the fence is quite high! Other than this fairly major complaint, we had a wonderful time as usual. One other minor issue... I cannot seem to tell when the rates change. I would think that June would be off-season, but the rates were about the same as when we went in November. I think locals in the off-season should get a bit more of a deal or at least a discount on the golf cart rental. Despite this, we are planning our next visit for this November.

We all managed to have an excellent vacation. Our unite was spacious; the kitchen had a good layout and it had a pantry/laundry room for storage.The dishes and pots where adequate, however the knifes where very poor. It made cooking a little difficult at times. Also there was not enough dish, dishwasher and laundry soap for the duration of the our visit.All these are minor issues which could be easily fixed. There where plenty of activities for all. Walking and playing on the beach, swimming, tennis and kayaking are easy to do from the unit. We had an excellent vacation.

Condos were also rented by my two brothers and sister as we had a week long family reunion. Our condo was nice although the comfort of the beds was disappointing. The kitchen and bathrooms were excellent. The pool experience was excellent particularly with the cabana. The six seat golf cart was fun although it ran sluggishly at times. The ocean view was excellent. The capability to get off the island to do other things was appreciated. The tarpon fishing and flat boat fishing were fun. The seven nights for the price of five nights seemed like a good value. Dinner at Rum Bay was good. Check-in was hectic with several families checking in at the same time. I look forward to our next visit.

The view was amazing from multiple places throughout the condo. The only issue the entire stay was the refrigerator. It must be replaced before our return next year. The maintenance man from Palm Island said we put too much stuff in it and so it could not get cold. Which was somewhat insulting. Finally, a refrigeration service technician came out and gave the true story. Bottom line the refrigerator needs to be replaced with the same size but maybe a better brand.

Great beach vacation for a long weekend

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has made many wonderful memories in Palm Island over the years, and we will be back. But if this was our first trip I am not sure that would be the case. This year we brought my father with us. I searched the selection of properties for hours and booked months in advance. I was thrilled that I found a villa that had two bedrooms with king beds on the first level of the unit for us and my father and a fun upper level with 4 beds for our kiddos. I booked it and made note with the staff that my father was coming for the first time and I wanted him to have a room on the first level with a king bed and his own bathroom. The unit was also advertised as having a grill, which impacted our menu planning. When we got there we found out we were assigned to another unit without prior notification/approval. The unit was in an area of the resort under construction. The pool was closed! The unit did have two first floor bedrooms and a great loft (which our kids LOVED). The trouble was that my father's room had twin beds, not a king. We talked to the staff about the problem. They kind of acted like they did us a favor by putting us in a newer unit! They said that they would have housekeeping convert the twin beds into one large bed, but then never got around to it. The unit also did not have a grill so we had to resort to less than optimal alternatives to prepare certain meals. Despite the issues we had a great time enjoying a beautiful beach with no crowds and look forward to coming again next year.

Great time with good friends. Our pool was closed which was a bummer We had to use a neighboring pool and over looked an empty hole with a pump running 24/7. We were not told in advance of the pool closure. It would have been nice to be offered a discount or free golf cart but when I asked the desk clerk said no. Too bad.
