A TRUE UpNorth getaway awaits you in our private road spacious mountain rd house. Offering water views, STUNNING sunsets, ski chalet style, and very cozy home.

Enjoy a break from the hustle and bustle if you need a quiet nice stay, but still conveniently located close to the best of northern michigan.

Less than a 6 min drive to 2 boat launches. Bring the boats, jet ski's and/or kayaks and relax with family/friends.

The 2,700 sq ft chalet style cape cod with walk out basement, and upstairs master bedroom with a wrap around deck is perfect amount of space. Offering 4 bedrooms (one downstairs no windows) and 2 full bathrooms, a spacious living area and a kitchen equipped with essentials.

Summer Heat- The house currently does not have central air, however have an effective Attic system that pulls cooler air from the basement level and disperses I to the upstairs of the home.

Rewind on the large deck while enjoying the stunning sunset over Elk Lake, and then start dinner on a blackstone grill, finished with s’mores in the bonfire. Plenty of parking, space, and privacy.

Mountain Rd Home is 0.3 from Lake Skegemog Public Access, 0.5 from Torch River, and less than a few miles to the closest Torch Lake access, boating, and famous Torch Lake Sandbar. Our Mountain home sits in the trees allowing for privacy, silence, and fresh air overlooking Elk Lake and Lake Skegemog.

Mountain rd home is not lakefront. You cannot access Elk Lake or Skegemog without driving or walking (down the road private road) to access lakefront. The only way to access Elk Lake is by boat from Skegemog access or by car, however the home offers stunning views of Elk Lake.

You will find lots of trails behind the house to walk on and explore, while enjoying more breathtaking views. Torch Lake is located on the back side of the home also offers scenic views behind the house.

Elk Rapids is a 15 minute drive to a charming community with lots to see and do.

Torch Lake Sandbar-
Mountain home is located very close to the nearest Torch Lake access where you can reach the sandbar walking out by foot. This public access (less than a 6 min drive) is also near 2 public boat launches where you can access Torch Lake, Torch River, Lake Skegemog, Elk Lake, Clam River and Lake Bellaire.

Winter Rd Accesibility******Please note- 4Wheel drive is highly recommended in winter months (November-February) when driving up the private road and our driveway.

Rapid City is surrounded by beauty. The quaint town of Alden (less than 6 miles) which offers the famous Muffin Tin offering the best muffins, coffee, lattes, breakfast, and more. You will also find party store, spice shop, nifty things, antiquing, wine tasting, swimming areas, local grocery store as well as unique shops and restaurants.
Bellaire is nearby and offers Shorts Brewery, the Corner Bistro and more shopping.

Within 15 minutes you'll have mountain biking trails, cherry orchards, golf courses, and access to Lake Michigan beaches and playground in nearby Elk Rapids. Boyne Mountain, Crystal Mountain, Nubs Nob and Schuss are perfect for skiing/snowboarding and not a far distance. ORV trail heads are a short distance away and lead to miles of off-roading.
