As for the bugs, what you saw were likely palmetto bugs, which are often (half-jokingly) referred to as Florida’s state bird. While they’re unfortunately very common in our tropical climate, they are always uninvited guests. We take pest control seriously and will make sure the unit is treated to help keep them out.
