RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.

Lovely property

If you are looking for a quiet getaway, this is your place. Located right on the beach. Beautiful heated pool. Everything I needed for my 4 night stay. I took a 3 mile drive to Coquina beach and took the free ferry out to the pier. Sarasota is a short drive south and there were lots of cute shops. Great place, I would definitely return.

Silver sands

We have stayed here quite a bit over the years itā€™s a great location and we love the privacy of the beach . Just had some concerns on the overall room , the shower drain didnā€™t drain , toilet wouldnā€™t stop running , bed was super hard and uncomfortable. The location is great just wish the rooms got the maintenance and much needed updating. We keep coming back for the location but the rooms are starting to show wear and tear of popular demand .

Amazing, beautiful, private beach!

We decided to get away from the crowds and traffic on Anna Maria Island this year and head south to Longboat Key. The beach is amazing, the grounds are well-kept, and the other guests were quiet and polite. We only have 3 suggestions: 1) If you are staying for longer than one night, we suggest you rent a one bedroom unit with a lanai. The hotel room unit is on the small size, and there is nowhere to dry swimsuits and beach towels. We wll definitely upgrade to a one bedroom next visit! 2) There were not enough functioning beach umbrellas for all the guests, and 3) VRBO advertised daily maid service, which is not the case. Other than these issues, we had a marvelous time, and we will definitely stay again (but we will bring our own beach umbrella with us next trip!)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our room was very clean but smelled horribly of disinfectant. We had to open the door and turn on the bathroom fan for ventilation. Our bed was comfortable and the resort was calm and quiet. The property was well maintained. The day before out checkout we received a list of chores that we had to complete before we left. We were required to strip the beds and place our towels and linens on the floor; we also were required to empty the garbage, and put the bag in the dumpster. Was this not part of our $100 cleaning fee?
