RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.



Unit #243S Features: 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom unit in the Green Building with a direct pool view and a distant Gulf view from your private patio.

This 2 bedroom condo was everything plus more than I expected. Clean, spacious, accessible and so vey comfortable. My husband and I wanted to take my younger brother, who has very limited mobility on a vacation that he would always remember. This place has achieved many memories for all of us. Directly from our Lanai was the beautiful pool and behind the pool was the crystal, calm turquoise water of the Gulf of Mexico. There was plenty of towels for the beach and for bathing. Our unit was supplied with plenty of house hold necessities. Our host was Georgia. She was very responsive to any questions that I may have had before our trip. The staff in the office was always welcoming. Check in was a breeze as well as checkout. I would definitely recommend the Silver Sands 2 bedroom condo 243S for anyone looking for peacefulness and tranquility with a superior stay!

Great 3day weekend

Stay was easy and what you would expect from a beech condo. It’s not the Ritz but you can’t get much closer to the beach. We felt like we had a private beach. The pool closes at 5 when they go home but you still have the beach right there. Would definitely stay here again

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Mattresses in our unit was worn and noisy. The location is great. The facility itself is well maintained for it's age. Questionable whether it's worth the high $$ since the unit owners don't seem to invest in improvements and furnishings.

Pool was closed

They had to make repairs which took most of our stay. Very disappointing. Other than that, it was just what I expected.

The pool closure was an unfortunate and unforeseen event, and we offer our sincere apologies to this and other guests who visited during that time. We hope they will give us another chance to provide a 5-star vacation experience.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been coming to Silver Sands for several years. We love the location to the beach, however, it is in dire need of updating. Unit 245 and 243 were worn and not as sparkling clean as we would have liked. The service in the rooms was very difficult to get done. The refrigerator in 243 was rusted and the small refrigerator in 243S was as well.Cahirs in the kitchen were ragged with the fabric hanging on the bottom and the couch was dingy and dirty.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Base my beach experience on how hard it is to acclimate back to normal life when you leave. Silver Sands lived up to our expectation. I keep wanting to return and enjoy it some more. It's great to be able to take a short walk to the beach of white sand, wade into calm water and enjoy a refreshing swim. Afterwards we would get together at the pool, which was always warm and enjoyable. Enjoyed meeting other guests who were always friendly. Only disappointment was the tub/shower was hard for both of us to get into.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I have rented at Silver Sands every year for approx. 20 years. Before that we were at The Holiday Beach. We love Longboat Key, and have brought many friends there as well as our children, and now their children, this year we rented 7 units over Easter vacation for 1-2 weeks. The biggest disappointment is the lack of room service. We had a difficult time getting clean towels and got no response for the repair of the toilet that never stopped running. Also the rooms could definitely be cleaner.

We love the location and uncrowded beaches. We also enjoy many of the offerings besides the beach for example; beautiful pool , duffle board court and the newly redone miniature golf course.
