RVA offers Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort. Located beach front on beautiful Longboat Key, this resort offers all the amenities of a large hotel with the privacy and seclusion that has Silver Sands guests returning each year. Relax on our private beach, walk on our soft white sand, take a dip in our heated beachside pool, or enjoy a complimentary chaise lounge and beach umbrella while breathing in the fresh salt-water air. Practice your golf game on our putting green or relax on our beautiful beach with your favorite novel. Wireless Internet access is available in the privacy of your individual unit, at the garden area or on the pool deck.



Limited Membership Privileges: Guests of Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort #253 will have temporary membership privileges at Cedars Tennis Resort located at 645 Cedars Court on Longboat Key. The limited temporary membership allows the guest access to fully-lit Har-Tru tennis and pickleball courts (after 1 p.m. daily and subject to availability), community bicycles, fishing pier and Jr. Olympic heated swimming pool. The guest will also have access to the community fitness center.



Accommodations: Silver Sands Gulf Beach Resort is a relaxing retreat located directly on the Gulf of Mexico on the northern-end of Longboat Key. Choose from our various unit styles including hotel rooms, one- and two-bedroom garden view units, and one- and two-bedroom beach front units.



Unit #253 Features: 1-bedroom, 1-bathroom unit in the Green Building with a direct pool view and a distant Gulf view from your private patio.

Quick getaway

Property was very clean. Plenty of towels provided, including beach towels which was appreciated. Very short walk to the beach. Only negative is that the mattress was rock hard.

Very Pleasant Beach Stay

Reviewer Comments: Silver Sands was a great place to stay for a long weekend beach trip! Enjoyed playing in the pool as well as the mini golf and shuffle board. Since we had to fly, we really appreciated the complimentary beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels! Also loved the super short walk to the beach. Would definitely return to Silver Sands in the future and recommend it to others.

Comfortable and functional. 253 unit needs some work done- replace vertical blinds in main room and repair or refinish bathtub. Overall property and on site management is great!! Beach is beautiful and quiet…paradise.

Beautiful!

Cute little condo overlooking the pool and the Gulf. Screened in patio. Beautiful weather and sunsets are amazing! It was the perfect time of year. Can't wait until next time.

Great waterfront rental.

Property has a great location and laid back vibe. Decor is functional, but is not furniture in listing pictures. The mattress is very firm. Rental was clean and equipped with everything you need. Loved the large screened in balcony. Pool is nice and was heated, as the temps were in the 70s...rare in October. We enjoyed our stay and plan on renting again.

Reviewer Comments: the view was phenomenal. when we arrived there were three slats missing off the patio blinds, a broken lamp switch, and no blind switch to turn the blinds one way or the other. I let the desk know they came over ASAP and brought in new slats for the patio blinds and they fixed the broken lamp shade. The accommodations were good. bed was comfy. room was clean. enjoy the stay. The only downside was the bathtub. it was nasty looking even though it was clean. there was a brown stripe down the middle of the tub and it was scratched and over by the faucet. it was so rusted out. but that was something that we could live with. The view and the staff were marvelous. we did lose the air conditioning after 5:00 and called the emergency maintenance and they had somebody out there by 9:00 at night to make sure everything was working properly.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 13th staying at Silver Sands. We had 9 rooms rented this Memorial Day weekend. Everything was expected, however the rooms are not very clean and the west and tear on everything has gotten to an uncomfortable point. Pots and pants are rusted, the shower is molding and missing caulking, cabinets are broken or chipped Formica. For the amount we are paying these should not be an issue dead grass and bushes

Great Place

It was a short vacation for us, however our short stay was great and wished we had more time. Views of ocean, beach, nice pool, all was enjoyed. The only improvement could be the bathroom shower/ tub was worn out and needs replace or update. Other than that, we will return.
