We LOVED this VRBO rental. The view is absolutely spectacular – super yachts in the bay outside the terrace, and planes arriving and departing in the distance (but far enough away to not be too noisy). The beach itself is very narrow by La Siesta, but the pool deck is great for lounging above the beautiful ocean. We were happy with this location – it's great location for long walks on Simpson Bay beach, good access to the grocery store, the local fish market where we purchased grouper one night and lobsters another day, and an easy 15-minute drive to some great restaurants on the French side (Marigot). Jill, the property manager, was extremely responsive in answering all my inquiries, both before we arrived and while we were there, and Gordon was helpful as well. The unit is spacious and well supplied. The kitchen had enough of the basic cookware for us to be able to cook in a few evenings. The pantry has some spices, oil and vinegar, coffee, filters, sugar, and other random things left by prior guests. We found plenty of toilet paper, paper goods, trash bags, every cleaning supply you could ever need, and laundry detergent. There’s a small electric grill on the terrace, coolers, swim noodles for the beach, and even books and games in the cupboard by the dining room table. One last thing – the unit is cleaned mid-stay, which was an unexpected and delightful surprise.
There's construction in the distance of a new luxury apartment building, but it's far enough away you can't hear anything. Assume it will be attractive when it's done.
Sitting on the edge of pool deck gives you all the advantages of being by the ocean without getting sandy!
Glorious sunsets every night - with views like this, who needs to go out . . .

Condo was very nice, high end everything, beautiful views. Gordon was a great help with condo details as well as recommending places to eat and grocery stores to visit. Close to the airport, easy to get to, numerous restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay here again when we return to the island.

This condo is amazing - true penthouse - huge! Including the baloney probably 3000 sq feet (50's60'). The beach in front of the unit is beautiful and was sargassum free. The pool is a good size and you have direct access to the beach. Not a single thing I would change about our choice of staying here. We were there with our 11 year old twins and they loved it- tons of restaurants and bars walking distance but rent a car so you can explore - you have a designated parking spot out front right by the elevator entrance. Gordon the host was amazing - we'll stay here again!

Absolutely beautiful condo. Whoever decorated this property has lovely taste. All the if furniture was comfortable and beautiful. The master bed mattress was a little firm, but I suppose that’s a matter of opinion. The view is incredible! The beach out in front is a great place to swim. There are lots of planes during the day which are fun to watch, and the airport is pretty quiet at night. However there was a rooster who seemed confused about the time on a nightly basis. Maybe they’ll cook him soon…The pool out back is well kept and the water is warm. Within about 1/2 mile, there are several places to eat that are walkable. The view from the balcony can’t be beat! The balcony itself is beautiful. There is a washer and dryer in the unit.Laundry soap and dryer sheets are provided. The house was stocked with all the basics and paper products. There are even a couple beach chairs, pool noodles, a zebra floatie, and a couple small coolers you can carry around. Huge high definition tv where you can use your streaming services. The check-in process was great and it was very easy to contact the property management. We had a great experience and plan to come here again when visiting!

Holiday Haven

We loved our stay at La Siesta- Penthouse A9. The unit is exactly as pictured on the website. We had the absolute best view of Simpson Bay from the patio-including stunning sunsets, sailboats and yachts. The unit is very well stocked with anything you could need- down to Saran Wrap and aluminum foil for making a picnic, to coolers, beach chairs and sand toys. Checkin was easy - Gordon was great and gave us a tour and tips about our unit and the area. We always felt safe, especially with “Samuel” the security guard on watch each night. We loved the location of the building, which was within walking distance to many excellent restaurants and bars. Don’t hesitate to book this unit. Very clean, and comfortable. An awesome home away from home on a gorgeous stretch of beach.

Week in Paradise

We LOVED our week in the Penthouse Suite La Siesta! Everything was perfect. The condo was clean, comfortable and conveniently located for easy to access everything St Maarten has to offer. Gordon was super responsive to all our questions and Valencia’s mid-week cleaning was clutch! Bedding/linens, toiletries, beach towels/gear and kitchen supplies were well appointed. The balcony was perfect for morning coffee and reading, and catching sunsets in the evenings before card games and drinks. The pool was awesome, just steps away from the gorgeous beach .

Beautiful View

The penthouse was the perfect location for my wife and I and our friends to get away for a week. The view right on Simpson Bay was fantastic. Close enough to watch the planes on occasion, but far enough to not have overwhelming noise. It was fun watching the yachts come in and out of the bay. The security guard was an absolute treasure and greeted us every night when we got back and was super helpful with directions, recommendations, etc. We all would be happy to stay there again.

Beautiful view. We did not use the kitchen, except for coffee. Found everything we needed. We did not use the TV in the main living space but could not get them to work in the bedrooms. La Siesta Penthouse on Simpson Bay

The penthouse unit at La Siesta on Simpson Bay was beautiful, spacious, clean and wonderful! My wife and I have stayed there before, and we just love it. The vistas from the balcony are breathtaking with the ocean just a stone's throw away. The beach is beautiful white sand and the water so clear. We saw so few others on the beach that we imagined ourselves on a private island. It was a short walk to town which made for convenient shopping and trips to restaurants. Although the neighborhood across the street was a bit run down, we always felt safe. Gordon, the property manager, was amazing! He was always available to answer questions and even come over if he had to address any issues. He always answered his phone or returned your call quickly if he couldn't. We can't say enough good things about him. The only problem we had, which was not the fault of the property, was we lost power every day of our stay. The power company had generator issues as well as the demand exceeded the supply during the current heat wave. Many places are very aware of the power issues in St. Martin and have a generator. Unfortunately, our place did not. One day we lost power for 16 hours and on the day before we left, we lost it at 8pm and decided to stay in a hotel for the night just to sleep with a/c. Again, this is not the fault of the property but one should consider power outages when renting. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and won't hesitate to rent the penthouse again.

Penthouse beauty

Just got home from our stay. The view from this condo is fantastic and the 2 large balconies were where we spent all of our time. Tons of space in the unit and we really liked the location of this condo. You are right near everything. The elevator was having some maintenance issues and we thought it might be a problem but it’s only 4 floors so it wasn’t a big issue for us luckily. Other than that it’s was great.

Relaxing family vacation

Everything was very nice. Clean and had everything we needed. Kitchen was a little outdated but didn’t bother us because we only used it to make eggs in the morning. It was so lovely laying on the lounge chairs on the balcony every morning drinking our coffee. The best part was the location on the beach! The pool was lovely but we are beach people. There was not enough room to set up the beach chairs, that were provided in the condo, in front of our place but we simply walked to the right a few feet and set up there. Most days we were the only ones there. It was very lovely and relaxing. My daughters who are 19 and 21 found the most beautiful shells in the water. It was a wonderful vacation and I would definitely stay there again.
