Awaken to the sound of the loon and watch the blue heron dive for fish on beautiful Squam Lake also known as Golden Pond. Two homes which share a large private beach and dock space are available for weekly summer rental June 30 to September 1st for $5000 + 8.5% tax (lower rates off season.) A quiet spot for your summer getaway or peaceful off-season rental.

We rent the houses independently off season, weekly or monthly. School year rental possible. Please inquire for rates. They are variable depending on whether renting both houses or one house, which house, length of stay and time of year.

Charming Lakefront house built in 2005 with spectacular views has three bedrooms, lovely screened-in porch, 2 full baths and sleeps 8 including trundle beds. Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, cable TV, telephone, baseboard oil heat.

Lake View house, renovated in 2006, has lake views, two bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, large living room and porch and sleeps 7 including a rollaway bed. Fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, baseboard oil heat

Great for all seasons. Located on Big Squam Lake in Holderness, N.H. Just 6 miles from I-93 and 2 hours north of Boston. Near outlet shopping in Tilton and a full service spa in Meredith.

Amenities: Lakefront house has three bedrooms, two full baths, sleeps 8, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washer and dryer, cable TV, telephone, enclosed front porch overlooking private beach, boat dock.

Lake view house has two bedrooms, 1 1/2 baths, sleeps 7(including bunkbeds and rollaway cot), fully equipped kitchen, dishwasher, washer and dryer, 3 season porch.

Summer: Convenient to all Lakes Region attractions – Swimming, boating, fishing, hiking. Rent a kayak next door and explore the beauty of Golden Pond. Visit Church Island available for church service on Sundays or enjoy a relaxing Sunset Tour of the lake. Holderness is a sweet little town with a marina, restaurant, gift shop and large Science Center.

Explore all the splendor of the White Mountains with abundant hiking trails or visit the Holderness Science Center where you can study the wonders of nature. Rattlesnake Mountain is 10 minute drive and has a delightful family hiking trail with a spectacular view of Squam Lake.

Winter: Walkout to cross country skiing, ice sailing, ice fishing, ice skating, snowshoeing, snowmobiling. Close proximity to excellent downhill skiing, and many fine restaurants. There is also a full service spa at Church Landing nearby. Lakefront house has views of the mountains and kite skiers/skaters as well as ice fishing.

The two houses were great for our family vacation for 10 of us. The houses were clean and the outside area was amazing. We spent every day outside enjoying the beach area. The owner was very prompt and helpful when I had a question. I hope my family can come back next year!

We rented this house in late January for several days of ice fishing and snowmobiling on Squam lake. It was the perfect fit for our group of six. The place had everything we needed, was very comfortable for our group and provided great parking and access onto the lake. Deb and her family were wonderful to work and coordinate with and we hope to make this an annual trip. The location is great, close to anything you need and right on the lake. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Very nice place! Lovely quiet location near a quiet cove. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. Beach is excellent for launching kayaks. You can just hop on a yak and watch the sunrise on the water alongside nature. House is well stocked with just about everything you need but food! The place was clean and ready for use immediately. We enjoyed our stay immensely.

Great location

Great location. Very relaxing wish the weather was better but having morning coffee by the water was a great way to start the day. We had a visit from mother duck and her babies and a little bear cub one day. Would definitely rent again.

Private, yet open and relaxing. Plenty of parking. We had 12 in our group and were very comfortable. Nicely furnished and kitchen was well equipped. The group raved about the setting. We would stay again.

Perfection on the Lake!

This property is hands down the best place we have ever stayed! The beach area is something I could never even imagine and I've been coming to Squam Lake my entire life. To watch the next generation of kids enjoy the water rain or shine is something truly special! This is a rare find on the lake and we enjoyed our stay greatly!

Lakeside house.

We rented the lakeside house for our annual fishing trip. There was ample room for six adults, docking for boats and plenty of parking. The house was well appointed and clean. The location was beautiful. Right on the shore of big Squam lake. The owner was always responsive and helpful with any questions we had. Would rent again in the future.

A Very Merry Christmas Stay

This house is clean and cozy and very comfy. The lake/mountain views are spectacular and accessible from two bedrooms, the living room, kitchen and porch. On a warmish December afternoon, we enjoyed tea and cookies at the water's edge, just a few steps from our back door. We imagined morning coffee or wine at sunset in the warmer months. We give it our multigenerational approval. And many thanks to Deb for her care.

Privacy included

The house with 2 bedrooms off to the side is very outdated. The beds sag in the middle and there is no TV anywhere. The 3 bedroom house is much more modern and has a lot more amenities including a TV (in the living room only) although the view is incredible, there is geese poop everywhere so be sure to wear shoes you don’t care too much about Both houses have a bit of a musty smell but not terrible. Would still recommend for a small gathering

Beautiful location

Renting a home for young children with lake access can be tricky. Having a private beach with no steep hills and flat yard was great for our kids as many houses may only have a dock and/or a steep slope to get to the water. Here, we didn’t have to worry as much about the children or grandparents having a hard time walking back and forth, and it was close enough to the house we could see and talk to who was at the water. The other reason we chose this location was because we had other family/friends that wanted to come for a day or a night, having the second house would allow us to accommodate them. However, we are thankful we only had one set of friends visit because the second house was very musty smelling and outdated. The main house has a nice set up with a good sized kitchen and porch to eat on, but the photo showed a sofa that is no longer there, and instead there are two old & worn oversized chairs and two recliners, which made relaxing together a bit awkward. The kitchen is well stocked but I have to be honest and share that we spent a good day cleaning off cob webs around all the ceilings/corners/windows and washing silverware, dishes, bowls, and glasses that were not clean. There were a number of knives in the drawer but I could only find one that was sharp enough to cut fruit/vegetables. I slept in the queen size bed which I had no discomfort, but my parents shared the king sized bed which they said was much softer. The only light in the bedrooms came from small lamps which were not very helpful. With no a/c there was one day where we were hot inside as temperatures rose to about 85 that day, but the other days we were comfortable enough although we did take the fans from the other house to use on the porch/living room to help keep things comfortable. Overall, the views and beach made the trip very memorable, the kids had fun fishing and swimming and there was plenty of outdoor seating.

Good morning and thank you for your review. I would like to respond that we have contacted our cleaning service as a result and have made a change in personnel. Our guests should never have to deal with cobwebs or unclean dishes, glasses and utensils. I'm not sure why they would be unclean since the automatic dishwasher is working properly. Yes, it is hard to keep knives sharp when they are used by many guests. As far as the other house goes, I recently stayed there and am appalled that our cleaning service has not kept up to our standards. It was surface cleaned but not deep cleaned. Admittedly, the decor is outdated and we are working on updating - but the bottom line is that it should be clean - and feel clean - not musty. Lastly, I wanted to let you know that the couch that was in the living room was extremely uncomfortable so it was removed. I find the two love seats (though worn) to be very comfortable - but will talk to others and replace them if other guests feel the same way. Again - thank you for your candid comments.

Beyond expectations

We are a group of four fisherman with 2 boats. From the moment we arrived we knew we were going to love spending our 4 days of fishing here. The home was much nicer than any other place we have stayed in the past. It was clean and nicely furnished. The outdoor area was perfect for docking our boats and enjoying the view which was spectacular! The fishing was fantastic as usual.

Wonderful Stay

My family and I got together at this cute lakefront home with beautiful views. It was cozy, clean and well stocked with everything we needed. It was nice to only have to bring our luggage, everything else was already there. It was amazing waking up in the morning to a magnificent sunrise. There is a few places to eat and a little market within a few miles and not a far drive to other attractions in the area. There was good communication with the host and made everything a breeze. Would definitely come back and stay again.

The property is owned by the McLoud Family of Plymouth, New Hampshire. The land was purchased by our father/grandfather, Merlond McLoud in the 1950's. He owned a construction company and together with his children developed Grapevine Cove. It is a beautiful and peaceful place to enjoy the best of New Hampshire's Lakes Region.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

In summer, the property has one of the few sandy beaches on the lake and we believe it has the most beautiful view of all! There are two houses on the private road which share the beach and two docks. The houses are rented together in the summer and sleep 15 (including bunkbeds, trundle beds, and a rollaway cot.) You are one cove away from Squam Lakes Association which has boat rentals, boating lessons and regattas that are beautiful to watch from the beach. It is also relaxing to sit and take in the views of mountains and wildlife such as mink, beaver, eagles, herons and loon and listen to their calls. The lake is clean and clear and offers swimming, fishing and boating. Bonfires in the evening are especially magical! The view around the lake at night is very peaceful.
