Our stay at Believers Bay was truly exceptional. The cottage is well appointed with comfortable furniture and beds. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils. Lots of thoughtful touches throughout the property. And the views of the bay from the cottage are absolutely breathtaking. Hope to stay there again later this year or next Spring.

Believer’s Bay

Believer’s Bay is the perfect getaway inside and out. The cottage is cozy and well furnished and the bay is gorgeous. We had lovely sunsets and enjoyed the rising Beaver moon. We were visited by red squirrels and pileated woodpecker. Our family loved the property and we all agree that we would stay here again.

Relaxing getaway

Wonderful stay for a family of 6

The cottage was clean comfortable with great views and water access. Milbridge is a nice town and much quieter and more peaceful than the Bar Harbor area. Highly recommend.

Maine paradise

This place is beautiful. Wonderfully cozy. It fit 8 of us without issue. Couldn’t be happier with our time in Maine.

Enjoyed Believers Bay Down East House

We thoroughly enjoyed the Believers Bay house. The house was very clean and had everything we needed in it. The water view was great. The star filled night sky was amazing.

Peaceful Retreat

This is a slice of heaven! So relaxing to just watch the water and changing tides. Believers Bay is a place to get away and truly relax. The cottage is just as described. Well stocked kitchen. Would love to return with other family members.

It was an amazing relaxing dream vakay! We hope to go back next year! It’s a find and the name fits it believers bayso fittting ! You have to believe to receive such blessings ! The working lobster boats had to be the best part of starting our mornings glad we met them and now know their names it puts life into such clear view! Deer everywhere! Such a great place when all you want is nature and quiet days …. All the food and places we visited were amazing and our daily adventures with our golden retriever the best!! Cottage is immaculate and warm and makes you feel welcomed as soon as you arrive !

Amazing place!

Awesome! Comfortable and user friendly. We had foggy weather which kept us from seeing the full view of islands and ocean. Short driving to Milbridge which has a grocery store and restaurant. Visted a few beaches to the east, less traveled areas than the norm. Loved the Blueberry Shop. We enjoyed our stay.

Milbridge Retreat

This delightful cottage, perfectly located within a peaceful Downeast community, is convenient to numerous nature preserves and other outdoor activities. The inside is comfortable, clean, and well-stocked with utensils, linens, and many useful amenities provided by the thoughtful hosts. Outside is simply magnificent, with ever-changing views of the amazing coastal surroundings. Truly a gem!

Amazing Property and View

It was a good ways away from everything, that being said it was truly the best place to stay! The house was great and accommodated all six of us perfectly. Fully stocked with everything you would need for a great time. The view, worth a million dollars! Our two grandsons were outside on the mud flats everyday. They collected some mussels and went fishing. Eagles, deer and sunsets were awesome!

I would love to tell you not to stay here and keep it all for ourselves. But, that would not be fair to our gracious hosts, to the beautiful views (that everyone should see) and to you. This is one that you have to see. Everything was perfect.

A wonderful summer on Wallace Cove in Milbridge Maine

We really enjoyed our summer here. The location is so beautiful; the accommodations, excellent. Mike the Caretaker and Tracy who does the linens have been very helpful; and Scott the owner was available the few times we needed him. We saw eagles, herons, cormorants, plovers, seals and more. While there is much to enjoy nearby including local farms, hiking trails, biking and, of course Acadia National Park, some of our favorite time was right on the water's edge. Coming from the city, the quiet is just amazing. And the light is exquisite; the view is stunning. Great sunsets, moonrises, stars. We also liked watching the clammers come and go, the lobster boats checking their traps and even one fishing vessel filling its nets.

Down East Retreat

Believer's Bay provided the perfect location for my family of 4 to enjoy a week of family time on the coast of Maine. The cottage is even more beautiful in person with windows wrapping the first floor so you can view the water and shore birds (including eagles) all day long. The weather was perfect for the fire pit with just enough wind to keep the fires at bay and the neighbors children could be heard bringing a lovely family atmosphere and camp like setting to the evening retreat. We loved dining at Chipman's after a puffin tour with Acadia Puffin Tours, the Pickled Wrinkle was another special place. Milbridge has a wonderful gift shop called the River Lily, a local art gallery and an amazing community garden and park! Of course we spent time in Acadia but we also loved our hike at Schoodic Mt that ended with a swim in Donnell pond with a visit from a solitary loon. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place with us. We will carry the special memories we made for years to come.
