Cute Condo Worked Out Perfectly

The condo was perfect for us. A bit of a wiggly walk to the beach, but the beach was wonderful and worth it. Location was convenient to everything we wanted to do. The condo itself was large, comfortable, clean, and ideal for us. Being on the ground floor was ideal as we had brought our elderly whippet dog.

Nice condo on Butler Beach near St. Augustine, Florida

This was a very nice condo. On the ground floor real close to the swimming pool and jacuzzi. It's a small walk to the beach but not bad. The condo is very clean and nice. Has everything you could need.

Nice place

It was a nice place not bad on location quiet and relaxing but close to things. Needs better cleaning- most of the dishes were put away dirty, corners dusty and dirty. It definitely needs kitchen equipment replaced very little useable pans, Baking dishes, knives, utensils need replacing badly. Over all we enjoyed our vacation and would stay here again.

Location, Location, Location

Located on the ground floor and the floor plan offers plenty of living space and sleeping options. (fyi 4 cup coffee maker only) Pack your sand toys and beach chairs so u can take a short 3 minute walk to the beach(will need a code to gain access back through beach access gate. The unheated in-ground pool is only a few steps from the back door. Hot tub was nice but only got to luke warm temp while in use. Lots of restuarant options within a couple minute drive including Saltwater Cowboys which we went twice during our stay. Location of condo is perfect for day road trips to downtown, fishing pier or world golf museum to name a few areas of interest.

Wonderful condo for our family

Condo was as described. Having a First floor condo was wonderful. Spacious for our family of 4. This place could really fit 7 comfortably and if you had too, queen air mattresses would fit on the floor in master and 2nd bedroom. The master bedroom shower is amazing!! Beds were very comfortable and the sheets were so soft! It was great having a dishwasher and washing machine/dryer. The pool is just steps away. The beach isn’t very far, but the boardwalk is narrow so we did have to do some advanced party scouting as we headed out with our packed beach wagon to make sure no one else was coming down the boardwalk and if there were people coming we would have to stop in a wider section and wait. Some of the turns were also tricky. But, once out at the beach it was worth it! I am a gulf coast beach lover who had reservations about visiting the east coast beaches (as I grew up in Charleston and was used to the east coast beaches and fell in love with the clear waters of the gulf coast), but I am so glad we made the trip!! This was a wonderful condo and we would definitely stay again!!

I decided to give this place a shot

Ok so i was skeptical of getting this place based on previous reviews. However at this price i decided to give it a shot.I booked on 6/19. I did not hear anything from the property manager until messaged them on here the same day were supposed to be going there which was 6/30. Poor communication.I want to go over what other people said about the place give my thoughts.One common thing mentioned was roaches.... Yes this place has a HUGE roach problem. They were all over the floor (dead) small and big ones. There were still living ones in the condo as well because we would wake up on days and find them on the floor. Ants were all a huge issue all around the property and they get all in your vehicle.The biggest issue I had with this place tho was noise. I would never stay here again due to noise. EVERY SINGLE step from upstairs you will hear downstairs and if you are a light sleeper you wont be able to sleep if people are up above you. The roach problem and the dirtiness off the condo can be fixed with new management and cleaners as this problem has been mentioned on several reviews and no one has done a thing to address it. Also there were clumbs of dust and whatever in the corners of rooms. I will attach photos to this VRBO as it allows up to 8.

Steve, we are so sorry you had the experience you did. The condo had sat vacant and the housekeepers assigned did not do the required follow up. the team has been replaced and we can assure future guests of a clean condo. However, you did receive multiple emails with check-in information prior to your arrival, and had no problems checking in. You were also offered immediate housekeeping assistance, and the opportunity to move to an upgraded property, which you refused. Issues do come up, and we always strive to make it right with our guests, if they allow us to do so.

Average at best.

This condo is in desperate need of an update, basic maintenance and a deep cleaning. Decor reminds me of a Golden Girls episode from the 80’s. Pros: short walk to beach access, close to restaurants and grocery stores, easy check in (stop at offsite office and grab keys), beautiful flowers and vegetation around condos, 50’s vintage hair dryer worked great! Cons: outdated, old decor, dirt buildup in corners, inside cabinets was dirty, cabinets/drawers need maintenance, front door was loose even when locked and not very secure, towels and linens were old and worn out and very scratchy, bathtub did not drain while showering, had to squeeze by parked vehicles to get to walkway into unit. Walkways/fencing/outdoor area of Hibiscus condos desperately need maintenance as some fencing was falling over. Hot tub was cold, so we couldn’t even use it. Pool area was dirty with debris, leaves, sticks everywhere. Beds weren’t even attached to headboards. Coffee pot was miniature, maybe 4 cups. Gate code provided by rental company for beach access was not correct, had to get it from other beach goers. No communication from rental manager prior to stay, so I had to reach out to him to find out how to get into the condo. Mgr finally called me on day of check in. Overall, this place was not awful but definitely not great. Won’t be staying again.

The Vacation from Hades

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was filthy with dead roaches all over the floors and in the sinks! Toilets were not cleaned . A/C did not work 80 degrees inside. Derrick upgraded us to Tradewinds which was very nice. Then we had to leave on Monday because of hurricane Milton approaching.Loaded and unloaded twice during a two day period. Spent two nights of a seven day vacation. This was The Vacation from Hades! The only good part was Derrick helping us with all the problems!

We love this condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our 2nd year at this condo. The location is great for families as this condo is right on the pool. The walk to the beach is on a boardwalk so it’s not a bad walk. This year there was a lot of work going on so we had to take detours out to the beach but it wasn’t that bad. Only complaint is the boardwalk needs repair in a few spots and the code to get out of the beach changes and you get locked out. Luckily, someone came and let us in. I wish there were a few more large pots and pans but we made it work. There are plenty of towels and having a washer and dryer is wonderful!! We will stay here again. Plus, no stairs!!
