Canyon Lake makes a perfect relaxing getaway in the Hill Country between San Antonio & Austin. Our goal is to offer a simple, thoughtful, yet unique accommodation that promotes a connection to the peaceful nature scene with waterfront views, nearby restaurants, and other local amenities. Whether this location is a stop on a road trip from one destination to the next or an intentional weekend getaway with friends/family, we look forward to providing a memorable experience. Experience a unique group getaway in our vibrant vacation community with our combined units, perfectly tailored to accommodate four guests. Ideal for families or friends seeking a memorable retreat, this combination provides the perfect balance of privacy and shared spaces. Our combined units consist of an upper studio unit and a lower 1-bedroom unit, each with separate access doors connected by an exterior staircase, ensuring both privacy and easy accessibility. The upper studio unit offers a restful ambiance with a queen-size bed, well-equipped kitchenette, and a pristine full bathroom. The lower 1-bedroom unit boasts a comfortable living room space, perfect for intimate gatherings or relaxation after a day of adventure. It also includes a convenient kitchenette and a sparkling full bathroom. Our community offers stunning communal areas with free-standing fire pits, sitting areas, and awe-inspiring lakeside views. The recent addition of a hot tub promises a luxurious soak, a perfect way to unwind under the starlit sky. Embark on an unforgettable group vacation with our combined units and make the most of the comfort, charm, and communal amenities our vibrant lakeside community has to offer! You'll have access to the entire building with door codes to access each. Building 3 is the 3rd building from the left (facing the lake). The Container Retreat is a waterfront gem that provides a peaceful and remote experience with plenty of nearby amenities, activities, restaurants, and more! As to respect the peaceful ambiance of the community, we ask that this vibe is left undisturbed. Please help us to accommodate to quiet time after 10pm. Canyon Lake is also a respected 0 lumens stargazing community! Bring your binoculars or telescope to partake =). The best way to get around Canyon Lake will be via car. As this is a remote location, (if you don't have a car) a scheduled ride service should be pre-arranged as needed. See our guidebook to get information on partners and services. We offer partnerships with boating services that can be scheduled for group outings, along with winery tours for pickup and drop-off. Ask us to learn more about these options! Lake Access: Our property is directly on the lake, however, as the perimeter of the lake is owned by the Army Corps of Engineers, we’re unable to provide paved access to the water. It is accessible, but the access point is steeper than expected. Here are some nearby options for public paved water access 1. JBSA Recreational Park - 1.6mi away 2. Canyon Park - 4.2 mi away 3. Floating the River - Tube Haus 4. We do have partnerships in place for pontoon or sports boat rentals on the lake. They would be able to meet you at the nearby dock for pickup and drop-off. Overall happy, not worth 5 stars. Nav took us to a “gate” on the road towards the property that looks exactly like the gate on this property. If my daughters nav hadn’t taken her a different way I’m not sure we or the property manager would have known we were at the wrong gate. Immediately after checking in we noted there was no place to unpack clothes and 4 adults were given 4 towels for an entire week. Also after checking in nobody was able to connect to Wi-Fi with the guest codes because there was yet another unknown code required. I was finally able to guess this combo code and then had to manually enter this code EVERY SINGLE time I accessed the WI-FI. My daughter and her boyfriend both tech savvy stayed upstairs and said they were never able to connect the “smart TV” to the Wi-Fi or watch anything at the end of the day on a week long stay. I reached out to the property manager about the towels so then were were able to scrounge for towels into neighboring buildings. The lake is much further away than it appears and it’s a treacherous hike in water sandals. Bring your boots and beware of sliding rocks. The charming silo/sitting area is unfinished with open wiring hanging. Hopefully a fan will go there. Came back to the cabins to find boxes leaned up in front of the buildings including ours and the maintenance person putting together picnic tables. Ours is still in the box. SPIDERS and bugs EVERYWHERE! *VERY clean however with lake view, quick drive to river outfitters!
