Spend Your Carefree Holiday at the Luxurious Carefree Casita

Steve & Joanna welcome you to the Carefree Casita located in Carefree, on the northern border of Scottsdale, Arizona. Carefree is the 'Home of Cowboys and Caviar, Where the Old West Meets the New'. You will encounter the vast Sonoran Desert with forests of saguaro cacti, beautiful mountain vistas of the Tonto National Forest, and giant boulder formations.

The Carefree Casita is located adjacent to the grounds of the CIVANA Carefree. While not directly affiliated with the Resort, the Carefree Casita shares the same lovely location with the amenities of the area. The Carefree Casita is a convenient launching point to golfing, hiking, biking, photography, horseback riding, and so much more. Not to mention the weather, with our semiarid climate the air is generally dry and clear, with low relative humidity and a high percentage of sunshine.

Joanna & Steve take pride in providing you with all that the Carefree Casita has to offer. You will find a very comfortable venue with all the amenities that you would have in your own home. You will have lots of room to stretch out and make yourselves comfortable. The villa has a master suite and an adjoining master bath with walk-in closet.

Ideally suited for the couple that wants a private getaway, the two couples that want to travel together, all will be comfortable at the Carefree Casita. Please remember we welcome you and your family members over the age of eight. Unfortunately we are not set up to accept pets at the Carefree Casita.

Beautiful Desert Setting

Loved this casita. It was very clean and decorated with a tasteful Southwest flair. The bathroom was roomy and included some nice ECO amenities. We enjoyed walking the nearby desert trails and relaxing in the beautiful pool. Steve and Joanna communicated thoroughly with us and did not hesitate to answer any questions we may have had. Wonderful!!!!

My husband and I throughly enjoyed our stay. Everything was perfect and we found it to be very comfortable and loved calling it home for our short stay. Everything we needed was made available and the kitchen was well stocked. We will definitely stay here again.

Home away from home!

All the comforts...My wife and I were town for an annual conference and chose to stay at the Carefree Casita for the second year, instead of the conference center to make it feel more vacation-like. We've tried other places in the area but have now stopped looking. This one is just perfect!

This was our first stay in this Casita and we enjoyed it very much! We found it to be clean, comfortable, spacious and would highly recommend it for a perfect stay in Carefree Arizona. Our son and daughter-in-law and their two adult children joined us in the adjoining junior casita. We all had plenty of room for a most pleasant vacation stay.

Great stay

We loved the kitchen and deck The pool was spectacular. Too bad we only had a week. Saw great birds and a bobcat off the deck. Close to great shopping, food and the bicycling is superb. Steve and Johanna were responsive and great to work with. The property was just what we desired. We plan to be back.

Wonderful!

This was our fifth stay in this rental. It's become our "home" at Carefree thanks to Steve and Johanna. Very nice, clean, well furnished and equipped for a perfect stay. Cave Creek / Carefree area is great for relaxing, dining, shopping, desert hiking and, if you want, a very short drive to Scottsdale / Phoenix. Another cool day trip is a drive up to Sedona which is spectacular. We like hiking a lot and recommend Spur Cross Preserve which is just a few minutes away. Short, or longer hikes and wonderful desert scenery. For more adventuresome, the Black Mountain Trail to the summit of Black Mountain is wonderful (but strenuous) too! We'll be back again... and, again :-)

Exceeded our expectations!

No complaints! My husband and I and my parents stayed at Steve and Johanna's lovely condo for a long weekend while attending a family wedding at the nearby Boulders resort. The set up was perfect. Both couples had privacy and at the same time enjoyed relaxing together in the lounge and dining areas. The view from balcony was outstanding - filled with saguaros and sunsets. The condo felt more like a home than a weekend rental. It was very clean and there were even some Thanksgiving decorations in the kitchen and dining areas. I would recommend Carefree Casita without hesitation!

All the comforts...

Beautiful Location!

Carefree was an unexpected sweet spot - lots to do, great places to eat, all in a serene setting. The location was great not only for relaxing, but for convenient day trips, such as Sedona and the Sonoran Desert Museum. Steve and Joanna's condo was lovely, spacious and very tastefully decorated. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, and the washer and dryer were very convenient. We have two young boys who made use of the amazing and very uncrowded pool on a daily basis. I highly recommend the Carefree area, and this condo cannot be beat. We definitely plan to return next year!

Loved our stay here!!

Our first time at this lovely condo.! spacious, very well appointed and lovingly cared for by Steve & Joanna great location for golfing, restaurants, and really enjoying the surrounding beauty of the Sonoran desert the entire complex is first class and well cared for, pool and hot tub area lovely and clean definitely coming back next year!

Arizona junior suite

This is an excellent suite to stay in as a couple. The location is perfect for seeing the sights, playing golf and relaxing. It is so much nicer than staying in a small hotel room as the bedroom is large with a bathroom that is quite roomy as well. The decor is lovely and has been maintained well. We had bowls, spoons, knives and bread board for our morning breakfast of fruit and cereal which Joanna and Steve were kind enough to supply. The small refrigerator had ample space for milk, fruit, etc. We will definitely come again for our next visit to Arizona.

Four Years in a row, and every year outstanding!

Carefree Casita gets our best recommendation. The business end of things is always hassle free, the Casita itself is perfect, and its convenient proximity to everything Carefree / Cave Creek and beyond is perfect too. Steve and Joanna go out of their way to provide their guests with a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Our most recent stay was out fourth and, we'll be there next year too.

Superb condo in Carefree AZ

We have just spent 2 weeks in this delightful condo in Carefree. We were delighted the moment we opened the door! It offers a roomy well appointed interior with wonderful kitchen, large lounge area, huge bedroom and ensuite bathroom, laundry etc etc. This condo is within easy driving distance to all the amenities that Scottsdale has to offer and is similarly close to lots of hiking trails in the mountains so would appeal to a wide variety of clients. The adjacent Junior suite makes it great for couples or family members travelling together. We have already recommended the Carefree Casita to friends. And we most certainly would like to stay again.

Wonderful Stay

Arrived after a 12 hour flight from New Zealand and could not have asked for a better place to get over the jetlag and relax. The Casita has everything we needed - garage parking, lovely kitchen, excellent bed and plenty of room to spread out. Having high speed internet was the best as busy making travel plans and emails. Definitely recommend the Carefree Casita and we will be back - more hikes to take!

I can't recommend the Carefree Casita enough. Accommodations were great, the owners were very accessible and easy to work with, and the area was very beautiful. The location is close to lots of fun restaurants, golf courses, etc... Will definitely try to stay again.

Renter of Junior Suite

I enjoyed my stay at Carefree Casita and would definitely rent it again. The suite is nicely furnished and the neighbors were quiet and friendly. The suite is a five minute walk to the Carefree Resort and a five minute drive to shops and restaurants. The casita is also close to hiking sites. It is a lovely area.

Carefree Casita

Making the reservation was very comfortable and the sending the check was also comfortable. The instructions were very easy including the information about the key pad. The place was clean and impressive. The amenities were fine. We did use the Wi-Fi connection. The bedding was comfortable. The area was lovely. We liked the place and the location. The overall stay was a wonderful. I would definitely recommend Casita Carefree to others.

GREAT!

My husband and I just returned from Carefree Casita. We loved the jr Suite and found it very comfortable, warm, and easy to feel at home. We had everything we needed. The Carefree area was very beautiful. Loved the big tall cactus and the blooming little ones too. Steve & Joanna were very easy to work with and answered our questions and concerns very quickly by email at all times. We would highly recommend staying here. The area was quiet and secure.

We arrived late because of weather conditions at home, but the codes worked perfectly to get us safely into the unit. We were surprised at how much room there was when we got there, but it was a very enjoyable experience. It was over the holidays, so we spent a lot of time away from the unit at one of our daughters homes, so did not use the pool or do any walking like we usually do on vacation. The listing description and photos were completely accurate, The property was clean and well maintained, and the instructions provided made it easy to use the internet and get in and out of the unit. We would of course recommend this property to friends and family. We mainly ate at our family homes, so did not get experience with restaurants and other activities this trip.

Wonderful in October

Steve & Joanna, Thank you so much for the use of your casita. It was excellent! Of the many units we've stayed in at the Carefree Resort Village, yours was by far the nicest. Open layout, spacious kitchen, two-car garage, very nice furniture - all pluses. How nice to be in a villa that actually felt like being at home rather than being in a rental. Your VRBO information and pictures accurately portrayed the unit. It's proximity to the pool - all of 50 steps or so - was a bonus. We found the casita clean and ready for use. We had no problems with it at all, so never needed to call you. The food at the Lariat (in the Carefree Restort) was as high-quality as usual. Cave Creek is always terrific. We didn't miss either of the bull riding shows at The Chip on Wed. and Fri. nights. Buffalo Bills is still the best place to go to find something strange and wonderful to take home. Great to have the Road Haus (German food) open as the Chicago Bears bar of Cave Creek/Carefree. Would we recommed your casita to our family and friends for their use? You bet we would! We'll be getting back to you as well for one or both of our 2012 Carefree vacations. Thanks a lot. Paul & June

Carefree Casita

Our stay at Carefree Casita was all that we hoped it would be and more. It is spacious, welcoming and very well presented. The master bedroom suite was fantastic, very comfortable bed. All reservations, directions and entry passes worked very well. The pool area was very clean, great temperature for the water. We would definitely return again and have already recommended it to some friends we spoke to today. The kitchen is extremely well equipped so that we could enjoy some meals in. Thank you to Steve & Joanna for providing such as great option Carefree!

Awesome casita!

Want to spend a perfect vacation? Travel to this beautiful casita in Carefree, AZ. The Condo is beautifully decorated & exceptionally clean. Steve & Joanna are the most gracious owners, having been present when we arrived, gave us the tour & even helped to unload our car! We highly recommend spending your holidays/vacation at this casita. We do plan to return. Thanks for a wonderful Time!

As we will not have family and friends staying all the time, we wanted to make it available to the discerning traveler who appreciates the comfort of their own home. You will most certainly enjoy this property.

The Carefree Casita is located in a unique situation, overlooking the SkyRanch at Carefree Airport (18AZ) on property near the Carefree Resort. SkyRanch is a private airport and if you are a pilot, you too can fly in and have access to all that Carefree has to offer. If you are not a pilot, don't worry, there are only a few daily operations and it is fun to watch the airplanes come and go.
