Breeze from the Gulf of Mexico

Everything was what we expected and then some. We were literally across the street from the beach. It was a great experience. Besides some laminate falling off in the kitchen and downstairs bedroom all went well. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Disappointed that we didn’t have a shower available when leaving the beach. We had to go around to the back patio to use the water hose to wash off the sand. I thought it was one floor condo not a 3 floor townhouse. We have disabled persons in our family. The king bed upstairs collapsed during the last nights stay. The only positive is the a/c works well, beds slept okay & we had plenty of room & the WiFi was awesome. We took this as a last resort when needing a pet friendly place to stay. This place would be great for two young families that don’t mind stairs.

Highly recommend! Will be back here!

Great location. Loved there were 3 floors, everyone had their own space. Couple with small dog had bottom floor. Easy access w sliding glass door plus main entrance to take dogs in and out. Had our own washer and dryer. All in all a great place!

Great location, but the condo needs some love

We loved our vacation and had a great time. The condo is conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from the gated, private beach walk. The beach was great, even with the stormy weather at the beginning of our stay. There was plenty of room for our family staying and enough rooms in the house to spread out the kids so we didn't go insane. The condo definitely needs some love... for the most part it was clean when we arrived, but we found black mold surrounding the ceiling A/C vents in a couple of the rooms and black mold up in the door ice maker on the kitchen fridge. The garage also smelled musty and had some mold/black stuff on the walls-- but we only used this to store our empty food cooler for the week and some beach toys to dry out before leaving. We had friends staying about 2 condos down and their condo was more updated and had a fresh coat of paint just about everywhere-- it was a stark difference for sure. Either way, we enjoyed our time here and would definitely re-book with these hosts!

Would of been perfect if unit was cleaned

Great location great space only complaint is unit was filthy no way it was cleaned prior to our arrival! After driving 14hrs from Texas to visit paradise o LT to find: Mold on shower curtains, stains on window curtains & bed skirt. Oven and stove dirty. Ceiling fans filled with dust and dead old dried up roach (proof unit wasn’t cleaned or they would of seen it) just to name a few. Unacceptable to pay so much money and to not be comfortable where you stay! Especially during these times with Covid. Expressed concerns with owner and asked for cleaning fee to be waived especially since we left it better then we got it but only response was to send housekeeper out next day! Oh the house keeper you paid first time to clean???but didn’t why would we trust our belongings in the house with that person? No thanks

Needs Updating!

The outside view of the condo was great! After entering we had the same impression until we settled down. There was much needed attention to many areas. The house keepers need to spend time cleaning the condo. We paid for a clean place to stay. When we pulled out the sofa sleeper it wasn’t cleaned, the beds on the main level were not clean, there was blood spots on the pillows and stains on the spread. Before we could sleep in the beds I had to wash them. The stair rails was dirty or needed painting. The curtain rod on the second level had been torn of the wall, some of the furniture had water stains which damaged it. The water heaters was not sufficient for our group we had to wait to take showers or take a cold shower. If I wasn’t locked in I would have left and looked for another place to stay. Also, some of the TV’s need up dating, the dishwasher, the washer and dryer and the AC unit needs some attention. The property manager was very helpful, when called about the problems, they showed up immediately and was very upset about our concerns. If they had known about our bedding problems they would have attended to them the 1st evening of our stay. We called early the next morning. Overall, the property was in a good location and worked for us. But, I will look for another property to stay when I return.

We are sorry that you were not pleased with the property. We also were not pleased with the quality of the housekeeping and have replaced the housekeeper. The maintenance issues with the drapes and AC were immediately repaired. Most of our guests have been happy with the property, the proximity to the beach and the ability to accommodate a large family. We work hard to provide wonderful properties for our guests. Feedback from our guests is always appreciated and we respond accordingly.

Not The Best Experience In Destin

Let me start by saying this is the first review I have ever left on a booking and we have used VRBO for our stays in the Destin area and many others. The primary reason for leaving this review is in hopes the owner/management company will correct the issues at this property for future guests. Here are the key points that need to be addressed. Cleanliness....this is more of an issue with the owners cleaning service than the unit/owners themselves. 1. When we arrived it appeared either the sheets were not washed or the washer was so packed that they didnt get cleaned properly. We found hairs in ALL of the bed linens...not just a few hairs but quite a bit of hair. We did take pictures and send to the management company immediately. We had to wash all the sheets before we could go to bed the first night. 2. Hair was found in two of the showers on the walls and around the tubs. Not a big deal but combined with the hair in the linens...just wasnt what we expected. 3. Kitchen was not fully clean...floor was sticky and the the sink and counters were still dirty. Details 4. TV was not working upstairs - not a big issue and the management company did correct it promptly. The cable box was defective, again not their fault just added to the frustrations here. 5. Check-in details not correct - the wifi password on the check in sheet was incorrect....again not a huge issue but we spent forever trying to get the wifi to work, reentering passwords, rebooting the router and so forth only for them management company to let us know that they mistyped the password. 6. Gate code for the beach gate was incorrect on check in sheet 7. Combo lock on the grill that we didnt get the combo for on the check in details so we ended up not grilling the night we wanted to. 8. No key for the mail box...again small issue but we had a firestick delivered and it was put in the mailbox instead of the front porch and we didnt have access to get it out. Somehow it ended up on our front entry table the last day we were there? 9. Towels - Definitely needs some new towels for the showers....I have had better towels at the worst hotels i have stayed in. 10. Freezer door doesnt close properly...looks like the seal is bad. The unit is in fairly good condition....we have stayed in nicer places and we have stayed in worse. If the combination of all the small issues wasnt there we would have been perfectly happy at this unit.

Dated but comfortable

no issues with instructions. Easy, short walk to beach and a few restaurants. Some of the furniture and decor is very worn and in need of replacement. Dishwasher runs very loudly so use it when not planning to be in kitchen. Bring your own pillows - the ones provided are standard size and not supportive. Thermostat can not be adjusted below 70 degrees - a decent temp most of the time but A/C struggled some to keep unit cool. It also runs very loud in master bedroom. Trash dumpster is all the way at back of complex (a sacrifice to be closer to beach). Towels are very thin and worn ( low end hotel towels)

No handicap access to beach!

No handicap access to the beach!!! We did not realize the property was located across the street from the beach and that the beach was only accessible by climbing lots of steps!

Great vacation spot for family

Awesome family trip with 5 families and 5 littles ones. Beach and pool was very close walk from condo. Pictures in description were accurate. It had everything we needed. Perfect spot for sure. Went during Father’s Day week and weather was great. Property manager was awesome and responded to all questions I had before, during, and after the trip.

Pictures were accurate - condo was as explained. Pool and beach were close and all ammenities were good. Family had a great time during spring break but unfortunately everything was super crowded with people - very busy.

Thanksgiving beach trip

Took immediate family to the beach for thanksgiving holiday week. Location is amazing. Dog friendly which made our trip possible. Quick walk to the beach and walking distance to several restaurants. Most restaurants also dog friendly!!

Great Family Vacation

This property was perfect in every way. We had 4 adults and 9 kids that loved it. It was clean, well maintained and a perfect location. Karl was great on the beach as well. Would definitely stay here again if available.

Great location and nice property

Nice cozy place with all the basic amenities. Close to the beach and easy access to local attractions: parasailing, restaurants, bikes, etc. Having a hose in the front yard would be helpful and the beach was a little crowded but overall a great location for the price.

The important things were clean however there was some to be desired in cleanliness.

NO INTERNET. I e-mailed the contact I had on arrival and the issue was not addressed. Broken glass in the entrance upon arrival two people who were with me were cut, then we figured it out. It is close to the brace and plenty of room for the number of guests we brought.

Destin Vacation 2019

This place is WONDERFUL!! Very clean, spacious rooms. And such a short walk to the beach. Everything from booking, to check in/out was fantastic. Called for sheets for the pull out bed, and I believe they were there within the hour!! Will definitely check into booking again.
