Dream VacationMy wife and I had an amazing time in Neptunes Retreat. The condo was spacious, spotless and had no issues. We loved the convenience. Close to town and restaurants, Neptunes Retreat delivered an exceptional experience, and the owner was extremely helpful and responsive. The beach is 100 steps away and loved the Kayaks paddle boards and Snorkel gear that was all complimentary, can’t wait to return!

Relaxing Paradise

Neptune’s Retreat was a perfect place to enjoy the beautiful clear water of St. John just a short walk from your doorstep. The place was pristine, and we had a great stay. Accommodations were great, and the home had everything we needed for a great vacation. Great location to get to Mongoose Junction, North Beaches, or anywhere on the island, but the snorkeling at your doorsteps is hard to beat !

Location is everything!

Gorgeous condo with all high end finishes. Chocolate Hole is quiet and the snorkeling, kayaks and SUP’s provided by the condo were great. They also provide snorkel gear, chairs and an umbrella which we didnt need as all the beaches had some shade from trees and sea grapes. Plenty of kitchen supplies. Car rental through them was also seamless. Will and Ausra were terrific. Present but not at all intrusive. Lovely time.

Awesome villa, inside

Inside of Neptunes Retreat villa was beautiful. AC was great, tons of room, puzzles, a speaker, dishwasher, all were very nice. The ocean view is only from the master porch, and a bit from the master, if you stand in the right spot. Yes there is a sandy beach, and it is steps away, but it's not exactly swimmable, it's fairly rocky a few steps into the water. The kayaks were nice, the paddleboards needed help. They state life preservers are required, but we couldn't find any. It's a nice area, and close to Cruz Bay. Currently, there are rolling blackouts, which aren't any fault of the villa, or the property managers. A heads up before we got there about the blackouts would have been nice, since we were losing power for 8 hours a day, in 2 hour blocks. You'll get many emails stating that checkin is at 4, but nothing about the jeep being available earlier, unless you ask. We did get a nail in the tire, and the property managers weren't sure what to do, since we were on the other side of the island, so it was a good thing I know how to change a tire. A couple mornings we did hear others in the villa adjoining Neptunes retreat, some swirling water, and furniture moving, which made the walls seem a bit thin/uninsulated. The provided snorkel gear,chairs, cooler were great extras. The property managers were also able to get us some numbers for a taxi to the villa, which was very helpful, Hanah was awesome, and gave us great suggestions about where to go while we were on the island.

In response: Yes, Neptune's Retreat is a beautiful accommodation that is only steps away from the beach/sea. The sea is very calm and there are no strong winds. It is advertised as a courtyard view, not sea views. We do have oceanfront/beachfront villas, but the they are more expensive to rent. These guests wanted to pay the lower rate and unfortunately, you don't get the sea views at this low rate. It is though less than a minute walk to the beach/sea. The building is solid concrete, including the walls, you can't get more soundproof than that.(?) ,Regarding the beach/sea-sometimes the currents wash up small stones , but there's always areas which are sandy to get in and out of the water. Regarding the paddle board or any equipment, If there was a paddle board that broke, you should have contacted our managers. They told you upon check in to reach out to them if there are any problems/anytime -you didn't do this and we didn't know a paddle board was broke during your stay. We have lots of "water toys" as back ups and our managers would have brought you a brand-new board if they knew. Our managers also showed you where the life jackets were at orientation, they're available in all sizes and are on the racks. It didn't seem you were paying attention, and unfortunately, again, didn't reach out to anyone while you were there. Our staff is also on site, not sure why you couldn't reach out to anyone (?) We have an extensive team to help our guests. We strive to provide our guests with a fabulous vacation stay.

We are the Scott's, Al & Marykae, the owners of Lime in de Coconut, Utopia Peter Bay, Shangri-La Villa, The Beach Oasis Villa, The Palms Villa, Pirates Landing Villa, Coconut Cottage, Poseidon’s Retreat & Neptunes Retreat. Yes, that is a lot of villas on the island; it genuinely attests to our love of St John!! We love the quiet calm and natural beauty of the island!! It's a very special place with an enchanting town, gentle green hillsides, and crystal clear, turquoise blue tropical water.

We first started coming to the island as a couple in 2011 and rented various accommodations. After many frequent trips to the island, we decided that it's time to buy our own place; somewhere we can call home and that would encompass what we loved about our frequent stays. Waterfront, directly on the water was what we both loved and that was our number one criterion when searching. We saw Lime in de Coconut Villa advertised and immediately fell in love with it and bought it right then. Since that time, we've done extensive renovations to make it a tropical paradise with lots of palm trees and beautiful tropical landscaping. All our family love the island and at our family gatherings, there's always a great story or fabulous memory shared. It's everyone's favorite place to vacation!! We loved the villa so much that we got married at Lime In De Coconut in 2017!

In renting our villa we found that all of our guests loved the villa and we kept hearing time and time again it was there best ever vacation. It was from this that we decided to expand this into a little business and started to look for the perfect properties on St. john. We want all our guests to Love St John and have the best vacation possible as we do. We know you will catch the feel good vibes of the island and our villas too! This is our escape from reality-haaaa!!

Come on down have some fun and relaxation and when done take away memories of a life!
