We had a great stay! The cabin was wonderful and exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway but would have been great for a longer stay as well. It was close enough to everything we wanted to do but still out of the busy parts and restful. We did see a mama bear and cubs one morning so we got a nice taste of nature and reminder to check our surroundings.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. We’re thrilled to hear the cabin was exactly what you needed for a relaxing weekend getaway—and that it would have suited a longer stay just as well. The balance of being close to everything while still feeling peaceful is one of the things guests love most about Northwoods, and we’re glad it made your trip even better. Seeing a mama bear and her cubs is such a special Smoky Mountain moment. It’s definitely a good reminder to stay aware of your surroundings, but also a beautiful glimpse of the nature that makes this area so unique. We truly appreciate you choosing Northwoods and hope we can welcome you back for another restful stay.

The long veranda was really nice and the cabin was clean. The hot tub was a hit with the family. The cabin is a bit dated, the shower was not great, and the pullout sofa was uncomfortable, but overall, our stay was good. I like that it was quiet, private, relaxed and close to everything we had planned.

Thank you so much for the great feedback — we’re really glad you enjoyed your stay! We completely understand the desire for a grill. In this particular home, we had to remove it because there was no safe location that would pass fire inspection. We definitely wish we could offer one, but safety regulations didn’t leave us any compliant options. We appreciate you mentioning it, and we hope it didn’t take away from an otherwise wonderful visit. You’re always welcome back at Northwoods!
