This lovely vacation getaway is a short 2 minute walk to the beautiful aquamarine waters of Nassau's west shores and spectacular sunset views. Enjoy the ultimate in contemporary vacationing. Fully air conditioned, two story town home features a kitchen with granite counter tops, living/dining area with wood floors and ceiling, powder room and laundry. The second floor master bed balcony beckons you to relax, compliments of the gentle ocean breeze. Also a private backyard. Take an easy stroll on the shoreline and enjoy our beautiful sandy beach or go snorkeling around our reef without even getting into a car! Located only minutes from the Cable Beach strip in Western New Providence, enjoy golfing, casinos or the native straw market only minutes away. Along this touristic strip you can find many fine dining opportunities. Local public buses at 200 yards away take you to the downtown area, the world famous Atlantis hotel and water park in 15 mins.
WestShores townhome is only a short 10 minute drive from the Airport. Taxi cabs are readily accessible from the airport (guest will pay the taxi driver). Additional items can be made available for families travelling with infants e.g Pak n Play (make inquiries on these items when booking.)

Extremely Spacious and with a nice Decor

WE enjoyed our stay thoroughly there. Our host was lovely and very very helpful whenever we needed . I would recommend anyone who is looking for a quite place to stay further from the hustle and bustle from the downtown this can be a ideal for those.

Wonderful Stay!

Our family of 4 (with 2 teens) enjoyed our stay at the townhouse. It's a short walk to beach and there are many restaurants close by. Everything was clean and comfortable, and host was amazing. Would definitely stay again and recommend it to others!

Clean, comfortable and quiet.

We prefer to eat and stay with locals. Then go visit the touristy places. We walked to Poopdeck for romantic dinner on the beach, had starters at the Sunset beach club, lunch at Twisted Lime, and beers with the locals at Nesbitts at Sunset. All nearby. We toured every beach. Cabbage, Love Beach and Jaws beach are our favorites. The owners are wonderful.

Wonderful place. Most welcoming host.

The house was perfect for our needs. Very comfortable. Very clean. The owners live next door and were the kindest, most welcoming people. There is a very good local restaurant just up the street, within walking distance, which made our stay even better. Would stay here again!!

Great visit

Karen was wonderful. Easy check-in/out process. Rented a car, so getting around was easy. Downtown was crazy busy. We really enjoyed the quietness of the VRBO location and that it was away from that craziness. Beaches just a walk down the street or a short drive.

Comfortable Place

This house is very comfortable. It's a nice townhouse. There are 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has two beds. Karen, the owner, is very helpful and kind. The street is quiet but there is a lot of stuff to do in the area. in tje aream

Quiet and relaxing

It's a quiet area. The property is clean and safe. I would recommend it to anyone. I'm thinking of bringing my family to stay for a few days. The property managers were very helpful and kind.

Let me start by saying I travel Nassau frequently like bi-monthly and have been looking for a place like this!! The owner is so sweet and prompt to respond, the property was clean and spacious with plenty amenities including laundry and wifi. It is located at the end of a dead end road and the neighbors leading to it appear to be older, quiet, locals no wild parties or drug deals here, Just clean, spacious living.

Great stay

We enjoyed our stay. We felt safe and welcome. Very quiet neighborhood. I walked to the beach every morning by myself. The only issue was the water temperature. When taking a shower the water would get cold, then really hot. There may be a trick to the perfect temperature, I just couldn’t figure it out and hated to ask. Also, I with I would have known before hand, but there was a car rental place at the end of the street. Cheaper then the airport rentals and they even drove us to the airport for cheaper then a taxi.

Felt like home away from home!

Cannot say enough good things! Owners and owners mother were an absolute delight! Home was clean and stocked and spacious. We came as a group of 4 adults and had plenty of space for each individual. We dove with Stuart's Cove who has a pick up location a short walk away at Sun Fun Resort and dropped us off at the end of our street. Bus stop is at the end of the street, but times are hard to judge, however cab drivers are plentiful and cost about $30 from house to downtown and about $45 from house to Atlantis, and about $20 to the nearest grocery store, however it is also within a long walk distance. Beach is right at the end of the street and so is a top notch restaurant Nesbit's, and a short walk to 2 other delicious restaurants the Twisted Lime and the Poop Deck and a drink/food shack called the Pink Shack. Phenomenal trip, incredible welcoming locals, and hosts that make you feel like family!

Cockroaches

Three of us stayed here for a week. Karen greeted us at the door and allowed us to drop our luggage at the apartment a couple hours before check in which was nice. The apartment is close to the beach and a bus stop which is nice. The reason for the low star rating is the fact that we found 5 massive roaches and a centipede throughout the span of 3-4 days. Two in the bathroom, two in the kitchen and one in the living room. She was apologetic and said it can happen after a rainy bout. She was quick to get pest control to spray the area after the first day, but the infestation continued regardless. When we told her it kept happening she got very defensive and said that this has never happened to her or any other guests (despite admitting that it can happen after heavy rain). We requested a refund and she only offered a refund for our last day there. At which point it was impossible to find other affordable accommodations. If you're going to Nassau just do yourself a favor and pay a little extra for a nice resort.

My family had an amazing time in Nassau. This location was close to everything and beach was a short walk. Beautiful beaches. Karen was so easy to communicate with and lives next door. Thank you Karen for your hospitality!

Nassau Vacation

Our stay at Karen’s was nice but not great. We really only used the property for sleep and cooking breakfast. There are some amazing beaches nearby but they’re about a 10 minute walk. We were even able to utilize some beach chairs/umbrellas that were available at the Sandyport beach. Karen had a great supply of towels that were very helpful throughout the trip and the AC worked great and was very easy to use. The beds were firm but after a day on the beach we didn’t have much trouble falling asleep. We were woken up a couple of mornings as there was construction going on in the backyard and on the side of the building. One of the mornings being some very loud banging at 8 AM on our bedroom wall. We asked if this would be consistent through the week and Karen was able to have the workers arrive 1-2 hours later for the rest of the week. We were not aware of the construction until 2 days before we were arriving, so there wasn’t much we could do in terms of accommodations at that point. The area the house is located gets very dark at night and there are not any sidewalks on the road until we got to the Sandyport residential areas so we made sure to be home before dark every night. Overall we had a great vacation. People in Bahamas are amazing and there are good restaurants nearby. Bus access downtown takes about 30 minutes and is pretty straightforward. Thank you Karen for having us!

Place to sleep

The owner, Karen, was amazing. She answered all our questions within hours before we left. She was extremely helpful when we arrived. Her family was super sweet. The beach was a very short walk where you could do some decent snorkeling. If you are looking for a resort-like home, this wouldn't be it. It had all that you needed, just a bit out-dated. If you're looking for no-frills and basic necessities, I would recommend staying here. There is a local restaurant, Nesbitt, really close, and a really cute Pink Shack where you should try the sky juice and conch fritters.

Going to start with the pros - AC worked great, beds although firm are barrable The cons - The area is CLOSE to a nice area, but the house is not. The pictures make the house look bright, its not as nice as photos make it look. The place has a mildew smell and is very run down. There was toothbrushes and toothpaste in the spare bathroom downstairs. The sheets had a funny smell and the upstairs carpet upstairs is HORRIBLE. For some, this place is doable, but it is not worth this price.
