We had a wonderful stay at the apartment. It is new renovated and very nice funitured and very functional. It‘s perfect. Beautiful location and village. We will come back ! We loved it !

This condo was very well equipped. The kitchen had everything needed to cook in while we were there. The furniture was very comfortable. There was plenty of storage space with built in cabinets in all the rooms. Todd was very easy to communicate with and was very accommodating. We had a minor issue a few days into our stay, Todd had a handyman there with in a day to fix. We liked it so much we booked it for a month next summer.

The beds were super comfortable! We loved the location and community. The beach was walking distance, we went almost every day. My kids loved the pool and hot tub every night. We will definitely stay again!

Fabulous condo in Niguel Beach Terrace. Very modern, comfortable furnishings. Well equipped in kitchen, living room and bedrooms. Great cabinetry throughout with more than ample storage. Loved the island for dining. Easy and fast communication with the owners. Highly recommend this condo. We will return on our next visit to Dana Point.

Wonderful condo!

This is our second time staying at The Sand Dollar. Todd is very helpful with questions or issues. The condo is very comfortable and clean. Great location, able to walk to town and Marina.

Location, location, location

Unit is great! Had everything you need for a enjoyable stay. The best feature is the location - across the street from the Strand, easy drive to Dana Point Harbor, main street. Pool and hot tub are nice too! We will be back.

Enjoyable stay!

We loved the open kitchen and living room! Lots of windows with great plantation shutters! The condo owner. Todd was very accommodating! We will definitely come back for a return visit!

Great location -- great condo

We just spent a great couple months at the Sand Dollar while our house was being renovated. The location is ideal for beach access and convenience — just a short walk to see beautiful sunsets. The condo is very comfortable and well equipped with anything you’d need during your stay. Todd was very attentive and quick to respond to all questions or issues.

This Condo is wonderful.The location is amazing, across the street from Strands Beach. There are a lot of stairs to get to the beach but we used that as our daily workout!The layout is very functional with 2 patios off the bedrooms and also accessible from the kitchen and main room. It was recently renovated and it is beautifully done, with attention to many details. (overhead fans that work amazing, self closing cabinets, lights that dim, etc.) The kitchen has new appliances and all the pots/pans/cooking utensils you need. The bathrooms are beautifully done.The condo has a washer dryer and closet organizers in each bedroom.The only thing we would change is 2 single beds in the second bedroom vs a queen and bunk beds, but that is just our preference since we only had adult children visiting during our stay.We stayed for the entire summer July, Aug, Sept and hope to come back next year for at least part of the summer.Todd is very accommodating/ good communication and even provided house cleaning twice during our stay

Just okay....

We stayed in this condo in 2010 and loved it. We decided to stay again this time for an extended period (about 7 weeks). Things have changed since 2010. The condo is still nice but needs some "freshening up". There were 2 wash clothes and 2 dish towels in the unit. I ended up buying some more. The sheets really need to be replaced as well as the bedspread in the master bedroom. The fan in the master bedroom could not be used because of the hum. The living room furniture is not comfortable (especially for an extended stay). You could hear every move of the neighbors upstairs...they have a toddler. There was construction going on in the complex..lucky not on our unit..but the staging area for the construction crew was directly in front of our condo. This area is beautiful and close to everything including the beach. The owners were responsive to my questions (there wasn't any cleaning supplies or tools and they had some delivered). When you are staying for that length of time it is nice to have a dust mop to do quick clean ups. Also for tenants that like to cook most of their meals like we do the owners should get better knives and bakeware. A couple of the baking dishes that were there was in pretty bad shape. I ended up borrowing some from a friend that lived close by. A 3 star rating is all I can give the condo this time around.

We appreciate all our return guests and strive to keep them coming back. After your feedback, we replaced towels, sheets, master bedspread with a new comforter and duvet cover. In the kitchen we replaced the cookware and added new towels. We also added two new chairs in the living area for more comfortable seating. I am also pleased to say the property improvements have been completed so the construction material has been moved out. Thank you for your feedback and we look forward to having you return for many years to come.

close to ocean

Too bad it had no A/C, for it was really damp at night, and not much breeze, being on the first floor. Nice hiking trails all around the property, some towards the beach, others with spectacular view for many miles. Functional Kitchen. Need to get your own TP and paper towels.

Beach Paradise

We stayed at the Sand Dollar condo for a month. It was truly a wonderful experience and we will definitely return. From the beginning, Todd was a great communicator and responded quickly to inquiries. When had an issue with the door lock, he immediately contacted the handy man, who was there to fix it very soon. The property itself was perfect! The condo unit was clean, tastefully furnished, with a well equipped kitchen with some spices, and beach chairs and toys. The grounds are also beautiful and the swimming pool offers a nice area to soak up some sun and read a book. The condo is right across the street from the beach (we walked there almost everyday and enjoyed many a sunset), within walking distance to the Lantern District and a short drive to Dana Point Harbor. The area offers so many things to do--Catalina Island, shopping and eating at the harbor, hikes at Crystal Cove state park north of Laguna Beach, and trips to historic towns of San Juan Capistrano (don't miss touring the old mission) and Old Town in San Diego. We also took day trips to the beautiful Channel Islands National Park and Joshua Tree National Park. We didn't want to leave Dana Point and our condo--it was so lovely and relaxing. Everyone was very nice, friendly, and helpful. A great spring get-away for us.

A Wonderful Vacation

My husband and I had the best time at the Sand Dollar. The condo was clean and very well equipped. The location, so close to The Strands Beach, was ideal. The owner, Todd, was available if we needed him, but all went well. I would definitely recommend this property. We hope to return next year.

Monarch Beach Stay

Such an amazing stay! Words cannot describe how great the place itself was and literally right across the street from the beach. Todd was a great host and his response time to any of our questions was so quick. This place has everything thing you need and being able to stay at this wonderful home was a privilege. We are definitely going to be back! Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful and peaceful home with us!

Dana Point at its finest.

Just as advertised but in reality much better...perfect location and an accommodation worth of five stars.....comfortable, accessible and with every amenity.

Cozy and nicely furnished condo

This condo is tucked away in the interior of the complex and is quiet and cozy. It is just a few minutes walk away from the scenic overlook of the ocean and 10 minute walk down to the beach. The condo is very nicely updated and is furnished with quality cookware and plenty of eating and cooking utensils. There was one repair that needed to be addressed when we checked in and Todd promptly responded. He was very easy to work with. What a peaceful and relaxing month we enjoyed at the Sand Dollar!
