Thanks so much. If anything ever comes up during a stay, always call/text the host to fix. Honesty is always the best policy. Homes are not hotels. I have other places in other states. Please keep my phone for future stays and discounts!!!!

HOSTS BEWARE Power, water, etc. can go out at anyone’s home/business for any number of reasons. Rather than understanding and being flexible, this guest was immediately frantic and out of control - rude, condescending. If she could heat the dog’s water, why couldn’t she heat the Brita water from the fridge? The entire problem was fixed in just over 3 hours (on a Saturday afternoon). I stayed in constant communication with her on the progress of resolving the pump breakdown. Guest did receive a verbal apology for the inconvenience and she did not ask for any refund or compensation. Day 3 of stay - 12:04PM Guest texted me “I have no water I”m stuck in the shower” 12:05 I texted “OK…I’ll check….asked if the power was on…Water in the sink?” (The shower head has a button to shut off the water. I thought maybe that had happened.) 12:12 guest texted “I need water to rinse off now this is unacceptable!” 12:16 I texted…”I’m working on it. There is water in the refrigerator…..I think the well pump is broken.” Guest replied…”Thanks I figured it out!” I contacted a plumber to fix the problem. 12:44 I spoke with the guest on the phone to apologize and verify the info. I assured her that a plumber was on the way. 1PM Security camera shows guest leaving the house with her dog. 2PM I texted guest that the plumber is fixing problem. 3:45 I texted guest the problem was fixed. The housekeeper cleans all dishes and does excellent work. Exit routes are clearly seen. Beds are clean and comfortable. There is no expired food. I keep coffee, tea, sugar, powdered creamer, salt, pepper only - I do not offer food to guests. The keypad is on the side door to enter the home. I texted the guest that she was welcome to go in/out front door after using the keypad. The tiny front porch/front door area is neat/clean and used for inventory for the home i.e. extra sheets, blankets, etc. There are games and additional small appliances for the guests’ enjoyment and use. The other side - NON-GUEST - has a 3- drawer dresser with extra light bulbs and tools. It is covered with a sheet for neatness. Unfortunately, the rating system requires one to rate a guest BEFORE their rating is available to view. Had I known that her’s was full of hysterical exaggerations, characterizations and accusations, I would have rated her 1 star. Beware of renting to this person! Home is advertised as "Modern Cottage" NOT "Luxury Home." I security camera photos and others.
